I have tried the macarons and croissants. Both are delicious and done correctly. Macarons are not overly sweet and they do taste like a French cookie vs a sugar bomb. The croissants flake all over the place after your first bite. Should do as the French and leave it in the plate pinching pieces off! buttery goodness!

Ala Folie has the best croissants in town and their unique pastries are crafted with genuine care. This charming to-go spot features super friendly staff and a cozy, welcoming vibe. Pre-orders available for signature items. Must-Try: Cream-filled cruffins (Friday-Saturday only) - absolutely incredible! A Naperville treasure for pastry lovers

Outstanding!!!! Outstanding chocolate croissant and almond chocolate croissant, I know the macaroons are excellent but i did not get any this time around. I have never had a better croissant.

Update 12/24/24: Apparently, this place is so popular that people wait outside before it opens. I came here after work to pick up an order. I also bought some breakfast items. In total, I got spiced apple cruffin, monkey bread, almond croissant plain, chocolate gateau basque slice, bahia cake, and macarons. -spiced apple cruffin 5 - very enjoyable to eat. Once you bite inside, you'll be welcomed to caramelized apple butter and vanilla cream cheese oozing out. The outer layer has a good flaky texture. -monkey bread 5 - not too sweet. Cinnamon flavor is not overpowering. It's a clean treat, not too sticky. -almond croissant plain 5 - my personal favorite and I heard this one sells out. I like the almond filling. You may need a napkin to eat it because of the powder. -chocolate gateau basque slice 5 - crumbly texture but firm where it needs to be. No dryness. Rich chocolate taste. -Bahia cake 5 - not overly sweet. You get the sweetness from the mango and tartness from the passion fruit. The Banana helps even out the flavor. Crust has a nice crunch every time you take a bite.

While I haven't seen specific reviews about A La Folie, their pastries looked just like the stunning, Instagram-worthy treats I've seen all over social media, so I had to check it out. The interior is clean and modern, though very small with no seating. It's definitely a grab-and-go patisserie, which works fine if you're looking to treat yourself or pick something up for a special occasion. The service was smooth and friendly. The girl behind the counter greeted me warmly and took my order without any issues. I didn't have any questions, but it was clear they had a handle on things. Since I was visiting solo, I treated myself to just one pastry--the Bahia, one of their signature classics. It was absolutely incredible. With its almond crunch base, vanilla mousse, passionfruit-white chocolate glaze, and fresh mango garnish, it was a perfect blend of decadent and refreshing. The combination of smooth and crunchy textures made each bite a delightful flavor adventure.I can't wait to go back and try more of their beautiful creations. If you're looking for gorgeous, high-quality pastries, this place is a must.

I honestly try to sample all of their new pastries, unless it is something I know I won't like! This is simple, but exactly what you would finger in France and absolutely delicious! A keeper!

Our Fall Flavors wedding macaron tower--pumpkin, salted caramel & coffee

Truly the most authentic and delicious macarons one can get, short of flying across the world! Husband and wife duo Alexis and Jerome have brought France to Naperville and the proof is in the taste. Their macarons have the perfect balance of crunchy exterior and soft but not too soft, sweet but not too sweet interior. A feat which is extremely hard to achieve and yet they do, with intention and grace. Every detail, from the store aesthetic to the logo, is well thought out and seamless. Macarons have been an important part of our relationship and we knew they needed to be part of our wedding day. We chose to do a ''macaron exchange" rather than a cake cutting. Alexis helped us create a flavor profile that fit our personalities and also went well together in a custom tower. Our guests raved about the beautiful macaron tower and loved the fall flavors! With our order, they included a separate box of macarons for my husband and I, with a handwritten note congratulating us. Those kind gestures mean so much to us and truly set businesses apart!

A friend bought macarons from this place and brought them to dinner; what a delightful dessert! And such well-crafted macarons, too: the batter wasn't tough so it hadn't been overworked, but achieved a soft (yet not mushy or collapsing) texture. All told the flavors we had were lemon, mango, peanut butter and jelly, coffee, hazelnut, chocolate, salted caramel, & raspberry. I tasted the mango (subtle but tasty), coffee (nice and I amnot even a coffee fan) and pb&j (really did taste like this, but realized successfully as a macaron). They also have beautiful packaging (boxes and bags) so these would make a great gift. Check their website because Tuesday is 25% off day! Can't wait to try more flavors -- it would be folly not to go back to À La Folie!

Their food was pretty good but very expensive. The service was good and the stores ambiance was luxurious and modern.

Sireen's Instagram shows off her many artistic talents. She was recommended to us by our party planner, Alina Tariq, and by others. She has very unique flavor options (pistachio rose, Ferrero Rocher, pina colada, Kashmiri chai, caramel machiato, almond coffee toffee, and numerous others) for cake flavors. She works with the family to come up with the perfect design for the cake and the theme of the wedding. She offered sample tastings, and it was tough to narrow down to the number of tiers we had because we liked way more flavors than the tiers we were having. Sireen's cake was perfect for the wedding. It was as if our decorator made it. Everything matched the mood of the wedding so well, and it was also set up on time (at the last couple of weddings we attended, the baker was still setting up the cake during cocktails). Many of our guests and family members complimented the cake's taste and flavors. Unfortunately, I did not get to taste any during the wedding since we were so busy hosting. We did order an additional cake right after the wedding for my husband's 50th. I requested a new cake flavor: banana pudding! It was a hit, and I got to eat it this time too! The cake was decorated perfectly and tasted great (moist and not overly sweet). Sireen is really easy to work with and caters to your needs. She offers many other bakery items for parties as well. I look forward to working with her again for future parties, and you should too!

Let me start off by saying that it all starts with heart and dedication and this is clear by the way you are offered hospitality and courtesy. Sireen is a dedicated baker in her craft, making each and every macaroon with precision and perfection. Now to get into the macaroon itself: The colors are beautiful, from a wide variety of pink, purple, aqua and many more. The cream inside was very light and airy, very rich in cream and less scented artificial tastes. I have to say the choice in flavors is also amazing, there is paan, malai kufti, nutella, pistachio, and many more and each one tasted just as it should. To add on to this, they were delicate but not to the point where they fall apart when you are holding one but they melt in your mouth. You got to check her out, she is doing amazing and they taste phenomenal

Out here in deepest Suburbia, sometimes things present a vaguely Disneyesque artifice, where, if…read morethe fantasy world was more advanced, "Quotation Marks" would appear magically in the air around buildings (and, alas, people) indicating irony should be applied as a mitigating factor. This is not to imply in any way those places (or people) are therefore any less in quality or to be avoided. But I digress... I've driven past the "Paris Bistro" here, since it was established, and, unfairly thought "yeah, right". Why? Route 59 is a 1000% American Commerce Zone, rife with every franchise on the docket, and conformity is securely on the menu. And rightly so. Folks out here may have had their success, but they were raised in front of American TV, and their consumer habits developed accordingly, especially with regard to cuisine and eating habits. There are, of course, bona fide Ethnics in the general area, but those are germane to the Communities in residence. (Some FAB Chinese, Indian and Mexican places-q.v.) I am not aware of a burgeoning French settlement anywhere nearby. Around here "Cooper's Hawk" passes for "fine dining", and if you've ever fine-dined, you'll know Cooper's Hawk may parlay a decent feed, but it ain't Alinea, Bubba. In the far Western and Southwestern Chicago 'burbs, folks' Culinary tastes are as conservative as their politics. So whither "Paris Bistro"? It's a handsome suburban building with inviting signage. When you walk in, you pass a bar having an impressive array of boozes. Keep going west past the bar and you're in a room mimicking a rural setting, if a rural setting had curved leather banquettes. There's a more traditional dining room on the other side of the bar, but I didn't go in there. It was daytime, and bright, but when daylight ebbs, I'll bet both rooms are romantic. The service is reserved and accommodating-you're not going to find a wisecracking "Alice" on the staff. The menu actually is pretty accurate as a French Bistro in the USA. Lots of Français on it (in the titles), but the descriptions are all clear English. You don't have translation to fear. The menu is extensive, and features many traditional "Bistro" faves, along with select "American" choices. I was in for Brunch. Disregarding conformity, I ordered the Escargot for Hors D'oeuvre, not that I wanted to, but because I am pathologically incapable of NOT ordering Escargot if they are on the menu before me. They were yum, but I wish there was a softer bread available for sopping the buttery-garlic goodness remaining after the morsels are consumed. As "they" say, a French Chef is judged by their prowess in cooking a simple Omelette, so that's where I went. "Jambon et Gruyere" to be exact. It wasn't a large beast, but it was tasty, light, and properly prepared. No sign of the Rugby-Ball pancake-batter-enhanced behemoth omelettes you'll find in common Coffee shops. Accompanying was a (very) small salad of nice composition, with just enough fruity vinaigrette to satisfy. Also on the plate were tasty and ultra-crispy "shoestring fries". I'm not a slave to potatoes with breakfast. but these were damned good. The problem at hand (so to speak) was the transport from plate to mouth, as they were very thin and very crisp. Both fork and spoon were inefficient. I thought of using the spoon to crush them, thus rendering spoon a contender to preserve my dining decorum. In the end, I bit the bullet and just picked them up in hand, decorum be damned. I wish I had a bucket of these for movie-watching snacks at home. The coffee was a conundrum. It arrived with a strongish smell, like it was burnt and past its prime, but lacked the acrid flavor such as found in a forlorn brew. It was actually a fine, bold, cup of VERY dark roast. It's a nice, sophisticated (but not snooty) resto, dignified but not stuffy. If you need to have a business breakfast/brunch, this is a perfect place. Also, if you're not in the mood for the hustle and bustle of a noisy coffee shoppe. Prices a bit higher than you might expect, but... I quite enjoyed both the bread and circuses here, and while I never mistook myself from being anywhere else than in Naperville (not Paris), I caught the vibe, and it was nice. I am officially pissed at myself for not stopping here sooner. No "quotation marks" for this place. Throwing 4 stars (for now), and I'll be back here very soon for dinner.

That room is usually where they sit families. It was not our choice and we voiced our opinion to sit in the dining room. The staff immediately switched everything to the warm and inviting dining room. The food provided was tasty from the mini sandwiches to the tartines to the sweet treats. I have to say there was an inconsistency with sizing. Some were generous and some were lacking. They could've done a better job with consistency so we all got the same sizes. The tea service was very cute but you were only able to choose a couple teas. I've been to other teas at Suzette's and Pinecone Cottage where the tea is unlimited, as well as they ask if you would like another tasting of something that you really liked. I felt for the money this tea service was limited as well as not consistent. It was a great way to spend time with my Pilates friends, though. I could see myself doing this again if there were improvements made and they were more generous by offering an additional taste.
