The pizza was pretty good, definitely my second favorite in the area. I love crust with good consistency and that is what this place has, the perfect texture to the crust. Just wasn't a fan of the cheese/sauce that they used. It wasn't that it was bad, I just didn't like the taste as much as I like it from other places. While the staff here wasn't rude, they also weren't that nice either. Something that I didn't realize wasn't a thing down in SC is pizza by the slice, but this place does offer it up that way. In fact I believe a large pie is only $10.99, pretty good deal if you ask me. Although they are not my favorite this place is still good and it is still my favorite by the slice pizza spot around. If they switched up the sauce and cheese and just smiled a little it would be so much better. read more

When you decide to substitute something you should give the customer back the difference in price, needless to say, this particular day they had no wings so I got garlic knots, there was a $4 difference in price and I got charged for the price of the wings and not the garlic knots. OMG!!!! Great food! The past few years I have always eaten their delicious NY style pizza! However, the owner convinced me to eat a gyro and let me tell you!!!!!! Hands down best I've ever had! I have seen this place for years but have never tried it. My first time there I got the 2 pieces of pizza and drink combo. The pizza was pretty good compared to the chain pizza stores. I went a 2nd time and ordered the sausage sandwich this time I was not impressed at all. The sausage was just he slices they use for the pizza topping and it had a marina and some cheese. Mario's has the best spaghetti with meat balls I have ever tasted. The sauce is so good I order extra sauce. The pizza is as good. It is my husband's favorite. He gets so excited when I say, "Honey, why don't you get one of Mario's pizzas tonight" and he has been known to eat the whole pizza in one sitting. The menu has a large list of sandwiches, pizza, gyros, etc. the food is so good it is a wonder the items in it are so affordable. You will do yourself and your family in the big Christmas shopping days by ending one of those days by treating everyone treating everyone to dinner at Mario's. Was hesitant on ordering from here because its next door to Food Lion(sorry, not a fan of Food Lion). Because I didnt want to go to far for a pick up, decided to finally give it a try. This is an authentic Italian restaurant with AHHHHMAZING made from scratch food. The calzone is ginormous and could feed two adults easily. Don't be put off that it is in a strip mall next to a grocery store. This is by far some of the best Italian food I've ever had. You get to pick three meats to go in the Calzone. It's definitely not frozen food that is thawed and heated like the majority of places. The gyro is also very good. The staff were friendly and the dining area was clean. I like their gyros. Sometimes they add too much onion but it's still good. They always have either cheesecake or tiramisu and it's delicious. The cheesecake is the best I've had in Myrtle Beach. On another visit, I decided to order something other than pizza, so I ordered the Greek salad and it was more like a simple Lettuce salad with a few sprinkles of Feta Cheese.
