Great pizza and friendly staff. It really is New York pizza and set itself apart from the big chains with the taste!

I don't usually critique food taste, I just don't go back. I ordered spinach mozarella pinwheels. It looked delicious, but when I took the first bite, I felt like I swallowed a tablespoon of salt. I took another and another. It was saturated. I couldn't taste spinach or cheese. It was so disappointing The owner needs to know. I would have called but felt the owner would never hear about it. I hope it was a screwup, like maybe the top came off the salt shaker. Yuk is all I can say. read more

Ok, I had to try the "double the meat"...I stand by my previous review. You don't need the extra meat unless you are really hunger. I think the extra meat takes away from the yummy-ness of the original sub. The roll was outstanding by the way. The order of fries...just ok. read more

We're reoccurring customers here. Always order the same two pies, cheese and pepperoni for the kids and a white pizza for me and my wife. I cannot eat tomato sauce due to health complications. They input the incorrect order and gave us a Sicilian pizza instead which is loaded with tomato sauce. After contacting the manager they simply told us that they could not exchange the pizza and would only offer us 25% off on the white to repurchase it. The clerk had an attitude from the get go. First night in town, and we were craving some pizza. After scoping out a few pizza places on Yelp, we decided to roll with Gino's. We ordered a 20' White Pizza with pepperoni, chicken tenders, and jalapeño poppers for pickup. However, when we returned back to our hotel, we realized our order was incorrect. I gave Gino's a call and spoke with a pleasant woman. She apologized for the error on their part and offered to make things right. The pizza itself was pretty damn good. The tomato sauce was thick and tangy. The mozzarella cheese had a mild, milky flavor and paired well with the sauce. The pepperoni was amazing. It had a mellow smoke flavor and some spice to it. And as for those jalapeño poppers, my only regret was not ordering more of them. I was pleasantly surprised to discover they use cream cheese in their poppers. I feel cream cheese tastes better than the cheddar cheese often used in poppers. After our experience, Gino's is now our go-to pizza spot when we're in Myrtle Beach. I was very skeptical because, like everyone from NY/NJ, most pizza outside of that area is garbage. People get emotional over pizza, but if I ate garbage all my life I'm sure I would eventually think some garbage tasted good: it's all relative (and sad). NY/NJ pizza is top tier, so its hard to believe anyone else's reviews. This pizza was really good. If you havent had good pizza from NY in a while, you'll pick up on the cheese, pepperoni, and sauce as being proper ingredients and in the right ratios. I've only run into this maybe 3 times outside of NY in the last 14 years and it's usually on a Connecticut style pizza instead. I'd recommend Gino's to anyone, especially NY/NJ people that live the constant disappointment of finding a good slice. The crust wasn't how I prefer, it was a bit short (radial direction), but it wasn't a turn-off. The pinwheels looked good, but we didnt grab any. We did get a few garlic knots, which weren't bad, but I wouldn't order them again (they were more dough and not drowning in garlic butter). This brought it down to 4 stars for me. I stopped at Gino's after my recent blood donation. Pleased to try two slices for lunch. I have to say that while I prefer very thin crust, this pizza was not your pretend NY style doughy slice. The sauce was very tasty. And generous amount of cheese. Husband had pepperoni slice and sausage slice. He enjoyed the pepperoni but said he felt sausage fell flat to him. To be fair, we are huge fans of scarpellis homemade sausage in Connecticut, which pretty much spoiled us for life. At least we've found a place to enjoy really good pizza. The lady at the counter was very efficient and pleasant. Happy to see someone hand throwing pizza and putting it into a real pizza oven. A keeper on our list. read more

I walked in to order a 16" pie with 5 toppings. I chose 4 toppings and then decided to ask for extra cheese.. the woman taking my order basically talked me out of extra cheese, saying I'm going to want to be able to use the bathroom tomorrow.. needless to say I decided that if they didn't want me to order what I want, then I wouldn't order bother ordering the rest of the items I wanted.. I still got the pizza, but when she asked "what else", I didn't bother to add the strombolis and dessert items for our party I ended up going out to the parking lot and ordering my other $190 worth of items from another pizzeria that was happy to just take my order and not project their bowels on me Funny thing is too, the pizza I got needed more cheese :-/ read more

Their pizza is super good however how it's cooked is inconsistent. Sometimes it's cooked perfectly with a nice crisp crust. And other times the dough is still raw underneath. Even if you specify how you want your pizza cooked it's still a toss up unfortunately. read more

Found this spot after looking through Yelp and we are so glad we did. When you walk in, it's simple and not fancy in any way. Their menu is simple as well. We order their medium pepperoni pizza and added mushrooms and jalapeños on half of it. It's a New York style thin crust. Ton of flavor. We also ordered the wings. We picked mild and it was so good. Definitely glad we found this spot. Worth checking out for sure. read more

Not only have they been rude more than once, but both of my roommates one with Parkinson disease, had issues with them, particularly the young girl at the counter who always is too busy flirting with customers and/or employees. One issue I had repeatedly, and recently, where the internet said they closed at 9:30, I showed up at 9:05, and she seemed to not care, no customer service skills at all even after showing her the link. I don't think I'll be coming back here. I'm a beekeeper and have many customers, I'll be sure to share my experience. read more

Small place with a few tables. Weakness during my visit was the cashier... clueless really. The guys making pizza we're moving fast and we're putting together a 4 pizza order for the local police. That's a good sign for me... I ordered a slice of cheese and a small meatball parm sub. The guy making pizza cut a slice for me from a fresh pizza that just came out of the oven. He could have cut one from the partial pizza in the case (I didn't ask). This was another good sign that he cared enough to give me the best possible slice. Pizza was good, not over the moon but wasn't greasy, crisp under carriage and was tasty. The meatball sub was pretty good as well. I think the meatballs were pre-made but they weren't bad. Very friendly manager at cash took our order of 1 large pepperoni onions and mushrooms, 1 small tomato, spinach and mushroom with white sauce and two pepperoni pinwheels. Waited about 20 for order. I have ordered here several times. Ordered meat lasagna the last time. I do NOT recommend this. Pizza is great.

Now if you know what New York pizza taste like & got a craving for it then this is the place to go... I am never disappointed. I can't tell you how many times I have been here but every chance I get I try something different from the pasta to the eggplant & so on you will go out happy & full.
