What used to be my favorite pizza place has gone downhill for sure. Ordered half black olives and onion pizza and this is what they made. Barely any onions and 4 pieces of olives on one slice. I know the cost of the up charge should have definitely warranted more than this .I like this location better than dealing with the traffic on 501 to go to the Forestbrook location, but at least there you get what you pay for so I guess I'll go back there or find someplace new . read more

Weird how you're here for 3 years and you find something you have been wanting. Ginos is one of these. Stopped in for a lunch special. 2 slices and a drink. I had a slice and the wife had a slice. Wow! Each piece filled a plate. I ordered mine with sausage and mushroom. Hers was a barbecue pizza. Hand tossed slices with a crust we remembered from NY city. The customer service was great over the phone when ordering and in person when picking it up. The inside of the restaurant was pleasant. The food was mediocre. My fiancé and I tried the buffalo chicken pizza and it was average. The chicken on the pizza was very chunky and heavy. The wings were decent too. Overall, it was good and we'd definitely go back and try a different pizza. read more

I've been a long time customer and have always loved and enjoyed the menu there... however things have changed so drastically in their quality of food. My husband had a shrimp parm. sub/hero. The roll may as well have been a Wonder bread sub roll, big lack of shrimp in the sandwich and the sauce was dark in color all for$16.50. As for pizza all they had available at 4:30 was two regular pies and and 3 specialty slices. The crust was hard as a rock. The only reason for the one star is for the two men making pizza and the cashier their customer service skills are excellent. It is no fault of their's if the owner is cutting corners and using bad quality ingredients. This review is not to bash the establishment it is for them to make things right. read more

Hard roll from Long Island is always the best. Got one with sausage, egg, & cheese with salt, pepper & ketchup which was AWESOME. It was like being back home again. Wow, breakfast comes to Gino's Real NY pizza in Carolina Forest, in the Kroger shopping center. I stopped for gas at Krogers in Carolina Forest when I noticed the open sign at Gino's pizza, it was 7:30 in morning. So I drove up to the store and there's a sign saying "Open for Breakfast 6-11am." So I park and went in. They are offering a two egg sandwich with either bacon, sausage, ham or pork roll & cheese. You can also add a hash brown and coffee. (Don't know the brand of coffee but it's excellent.) This reminds me of the egg sandwiches I would get in NYC diners. I opted for the egg sandwich with crispy bacon and added the sausage. The sausage weren't a patty or a link. They were these little round slices but when added to the sandwich with bacon took it to another place in flavor town. I also found out they have FREE delivery for breakfast only. read more

Decent pizza at a decent price. This is NY style pizza and they nailed the ambiance and the taste, though the crust isn't exactly perfect. I long ago gave up on NY pizza outside of NY, because nothing is exactly like NY pizza. This was probably the closest I've had in SC and others agree because there were plenty of New Yorkers eating there! They make some specialty pizzas as well as. Good tasty toppings though I don't like sliced sausage, I prefer the clumpy ones. The cannoli was decent and I got out of there for $13 for dinner, a bargain these days, and I was full. Below are the pics. I see this beautiful pizza pinwheel and when I received it it was just a mush pile. I literally lost my appetite and couldn't eat it. I tasted it but when most of us eat with our eyes for how appealing something looks to end up with that mess. This place just seemed to have lazy cooks. I brought it to their attention they just said they cut it in half to bake it. WHY? This wasn't cut in half or it would have been half circle it was just flat. We go to this Ginos at least two times a month we live in longs and we meet our friend that lives by Carolina Forest for a pizza. We ordered the same thing every time, a large pizza with pepperoni and sausage and one side and ham and pineapple on the other, the girl rang it up. Her name is Gracie and it was almost $10 more than we usually pay so my girlfriend questioned her and my husband then explained to her that it's only two toppings not for that they always charge us only for two she said are you serious that you're gonna complain to me about a pizza toppings so my husband said there is no reason to be rude and we're just trying to explain it to you that the woman with the blonde hair old lady never charges us for four toppings we've been coming for six years she proceeded to say whatever and my husband said OK and walked out so I then tried to explain to her and she told me do you want the pizza or not and I said not with that attitude I said I would never speak to a Customer so disrespectful I said, even if the customer was wrong, you still act professional at that point she said to me that I can get the Fxxk out! I said are you really gonna speak to me that way and then she screamed it at me to get the blank out of here I hope the managers have videotape and fired this girl. 5 buck lunch deal garners you 2 good sized cheese slices and a soda. Toppings can be added for extra and they serve basic Pepsi fountain products. Overall, the NY style slices we shared were good and I'd order them again. I took a bunch of pics of their menu so you can see their prices and really, that might be my only gripe. I thought their prices were a little high for pizza etc. It's quite clean, spacious, and well appointed inside, so you'll likely feel very comfortable if you eat in. They also do delivery, though I don't know if it is free or not. I see their delivery cars all over Carolina Forest whenever they are open and I know that they are a very popular place simply based on that alone. Indeed, their pizza is certainly a step up from Pizza Hut, Hungry Howie's, etc...but they also don't seem to offer the specials/deals that those other chain pizza places do. I'd say you can get about twice as much pizza from one of the chain places for the same price that you pay for a Gino's pie. FYI, this isn't gourmet or coal fired pizza or anything like that (which is totally okay by me), it's just solid, NY Style pizza, so if you're looking for that, you'll likely enjoy Gino's. Slices are good sized, but be aware, they are very thin. You'll definitely want to fold your slices to eat them. Just a few doors down from the Kroger's...you can't miss it. Oh my heavens was I ever so scared. Gonna start out by saying I'm not Garfield of eating Calzones. But my spouse is a paramedic and once a week likes to get one...because rest of time working or on strict diet. But I was scared because of experience last week at their other location. But much to my surprise what a HUGE difference. Order was taken nicely. Got a great big hello when came in. Got great service at counter,and man from back came out helped her bag up,and was nice to everyone. And sent us out door with a big, bye and thank you. I feel the other location needs to train here before going to other location. The difference was so amazingly huge. And food was even better really. This Gino is a go go... OMG!! The NASTIEST B***** just took my call and immediately put me on hold for 10 mins. They're busy, I GET IT.
