Pepperoni pizza had a weird taste, not sure if it was the cheap cheese or the sauce. Thankfully I only took 2 bites. This was the only place we ate on Saturday and we have been paying the price since then. My 2 kids wouldn't even eat the pizza-but said the plain spaghetti noodles were great. Salad bar was missing a lot of items and the staff walked right past so many times without restocking or cleaning up the messiness. Do not recommend. We stop here every year when we come to Myrtle Beach. We can't get Pizza Inn back home so we love stopping. Looks like this location may be under new mngt. A few things seemed different but the pizza was still great. Our favorites, Taco Pizza and Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza were still fantastic. There were two buffet lines, at which a bunch of children were reaching in to grab pizza slices--not appetizing!--so we sat at a table to order personal pizzas instead. Our server Arianna, was so awesome. She was friendly and sat us quickly. She asked for our drinks and asked if we were ordering pizza or having the buffet. She was then helping other customers and running dishes to the back. She was on top of her customers, by getting our dishes and replacing the drinks as needed as well as taking orders for pizza and buffet. She did not stop while we were there. We also had ordered some pies to go home with us. She put in the order so that they would be ready close to when we were leaving. When they were ready she put them in the warmer for us and let us know. We were about ready to go so, it was perfect timing for her, the pies, and us. Honey, the place was packed. So, we thought, "hmm, let's give it a try." I walked in and immediately regretted my decision. But, I was committed to what I believed was the promise of delicious pepperoni pizza drizzled with Mike's Hot Honey. There were juicy photos everywhere with glistening hot honey running across thick cut pepperoni slices and melty mozzarella cheese. And there's an all you can eat salad bar. Well, I'll be... There was a bare minimum salad bar, I mean straight empty containers for which I only received the promise of a refill. My salad consisted of lettuce, croutons (perfect-sized) and dressing. The pasta bar consists of spaghetti noodles, pizza sauce, linguine in a flavorless white sauce and garlic rolled pizza crust. The pizza is not delicious. I tried about eight different pies and none of them were good. But, the place was packed! So, I guess if it's making money it makes sense. While the staff members were quite nice and inviting, I do not recommend that you subject yourself to this experience unless you order a personalized pie. If you are on your way into (or out of Myrtle Beach) and are just so desperately hungry for pizza that you cannot wait one more minute for crappy, cold, half-hearted pizza on a sad, perpetually 3/4 empty buffet, then by all means stop in and give it a try. While driving up Hwy 501-on a visit to the area-my 7 year old was hungry, and having good memories of Pizza Inn from 1984 (yes that is the correct date-30 years ago!), we stopped in for their lunch buffet. It was worse than horrible. All the pizzas were cold, dried out, and seem to be served on some kind of oddly textured (perhaps pre-made frozen) crust. To make matters worse the buffet only had a couple pizza pans out with about 9 slices of pizza total (and yes I'm anal enough that I counted). We were seated right next the the buffet, and as I looked around the restaurant everyone was staring from the buffet to the kitchen area and back again waiting, like coiled springs, for some food to show up. When FINALLY, two pizzas were brought out it was like a scene from an apocalyptic disaster movie, with everyone rushing the buffet table at once, like gladiators on a field of combat. If we had not been sitting right next the the buffet my poor little kid would have had to wait for the next round!!! My daughter did managed to get a few pieces of pizza and I made myself happy with one slice and the salad bar, which also seemed to be lacking something...like vegetables! There were lots of mayonnaise-based salads, cheeses, and pickled things; but there was not a lot of choice for fresh veggies: No cukes, no onions, no sprouts. Perhaps people in Conway don't like fresh veggies-just a guess. The pizza itself, as I said above, was dry and flavorless. If they could have put less sauce and cheese on that weird crust, I don't know how it would be possible. Seriously-I've had more cheese sprinkled on garlic bread! It's a pizza buffet so it's just what it is. Chances are they haven't read your mind and made five of your personal favorite but they will if you ask. Quality is about typical in keeping with most similar types. Selection without a request is often lacking, ask for what you want. The place is reasonably clean considering the age and the employees are true southern friendly. If you don't understand a southern accent then you'll be annoyed here - it's pretty extreme. If you were hoping for a true NYC or Chicago pie, wrong choice. Perhaps even wrong town. But, for a reasonable pizza buffet, they do fine. read more

I visited this pizza inn to surprise my boyfriend on his birthday with some of his favorite desserts in the form of the Bavarian cream and chocolate chip cookie dessert pizzas from one of his favorite places from when he was a kid. The caveat was that I had to take them all the way back to Southern California with me for his birthday party (we were home for the holidays and his birthday is shortly after). This place was good for what it was. They have a buffet on Mondays, I believe 5-8p where kids eat free. The buffet has pasta, salad, and pizza. If there is a kind of pizza you would like to see on the buffet you can request it from your waiter and they will put it out. I tried several different kinds and enjoyed most of them. In my opinion the thin crust was best. I ordered a sweet tea which was sweeter than expected but good. I tried the cinnamon breadsticks, they looked better than they tasted. The pizza here is just like I remembered as a kid. There's no pizza places anymore (that I know of) that cook the pizza to where the pepperoni's are curled up with crispness! Every year on our annual family beach vacation to Surfside beach SC, this is our final stop to eat before heading back home. Love Pizza Inn, grew up eating here. Visited this establishment around 7pm clearly not too late if the store closes at 10. The buffet had dried up pizza on it, dining room full, waitresses keeping your cup full of beverages but no pizza. We waited at best 40 minutes for the first fresh pizza to come out. I met friends here for pizza and to catch up. Went went around 5PM and opted for the buffet. I have tried to buffet at other Pizza Inn locations and found it to be okay. This place was not particularly busy so I expected it to be a nice experience. I was definitely disappointed. The pizza was put out on the buffet at a very slow pace and the varieties that were available were not very good. Maybe it was an issue with the kitchen staff but the food was consistently bad. The salad bar was also poorly stocked and the vegetables appeared to be well past their prime. Even the bread sticks were overcooked and not edible. Service and cleanliness were also a challenge that day. The only thing we needed at the table was for our drinks to be refilled. That seemed to take longer than necessary. I even suggested that our server leave a pitcher of tea on the table but that didn't work either. We sat in the back room where there were tables available instead of booths and the entire place needed vacuuming and cleaning. This is not a place I would typically go or recommend to anyone. I am much more likely to go to a place that sells pizza by the slice. If anyone suggests a pizza buffet to me in the future, I think I will throw out CiCi's as a suggestion. Pizza Inn, where you can gorge yourself on alright pizza! If you dine in, they always have a buffet going. Don't see your favorite pizza on the buffet, just ask and they'll make sure you get it. They have a thin and a pan crust, and their toppings range from the usual pepperoni and mushroom to taco (refreshing with a refried bean "sauce") and BLT (kind of icky with a mayonnaise "sauce"). The servers are always nice and the manager regularly supports local charities and churches. Last time we went our bill for two buffets and two teas was under $20. We've went during the time of lunch (busy) and it was buffet, and even if they're busy, if you'll ask, they'll make the pizza you want, if it's not already out there, which is nice. We dined in on December 29, 2015 They had a pizza buffet beginning when we arrived. The kind and attentive waitress asked about our favorite toppings on a pizza so that they could make sure that they put out one that we would enjoy. The salad bar was outstanding with many choices and they also put out spaghetti and sauce along with the rest of the many great thin and thick pizzas that they kept bringing.
