    View from the patio!
    Laura C.

I stopped in for breakfast and had two coffees, a scone, and a bagel with cream cheese! Good coffee shop option but more of a grab and go style - not a cozy coffee shop. That said, the patio is right in the center of town and I sat and enjoyed the view of the church and the mountains for quite a while and wrote some postcards - if it's a nice day to sit outside you should come here for a snack and enjoy the picnic tables!

Stopped in on a cruise day for a snack. Loved my ham and pesto sandwich on a pretzel bun!

What a cute flower, coffee, and chocolate shop! I just wish they had more seating inside…read more It just happened to be raining while we were on our way for coffee. People will tell you to bring an umbrella to Alaska. No, you should really just bring a really good waterproof hoody coat. It was bulky, but it protected me from the elements. It's just too windy for an umbrella. Anyway, I thought about trying the spruce tip latte. I ended up getting a Dirty Chai. It was very good. I didn't get to try my husband's Mexi-Mocha with cayenne pepper. He really liked the flavors. He's never had a spicy latte, so it was a real treat for him. The shop has some moose chocolate treats, gifts, flowers, and unique gift items. It was my first time seeing Alaskan sea otter fur earrings. An Alaska native artist makes them. The flowers that they sell here look fresh and beautiful. It's very close to the public library and Harrigan Centennial Hall. It was the perfect stop before getting on the bus back to the Sitka Sound Cruise Terminal. It's also a great stopping point after visiting the Baranof Castle State Historic Site on a cold day. Check it out if you're in Sitka.

I tried the Alaskan snow crab roll, warm buttery brioche bun stuffed with half a snow crab, lightly tossed in lemon garlic pepper sauce and topped with chives. I also tried the wild berry tea and the purple chocolate chip cookie with spruce berries and lavender. We also tried the seasonal reindeer sausage with Arctic ketchup and caramelized onions on brioche. Excellent price point for the portion and quality you get. Easy to find, just turned a corner and it was there. Covered area to have your meal. Quick service, friendly staff. Good portions. Good quality. Real Alaskan flavors.

I personally would have preferred warm crab on a roll but like I said it was delicious. Do not pass on the tea and cookie, most of the people I saw only bought the crab roll but trust me you are missing out on a unique treat. The service was great, one guy in the truck but he kept the line moving and he was nice. They even put out a little canopy in the back end of the truck so you don't have to stand out in the rain eating your crab roll. There were two other vendors nearby selling food but you didn't come all the way to Alaska for a burger you came for the crab.
