I went here based off Yelp reviews to have several pairs of glasses fixed…read more One pair seemed hopeless but I thought I'd give it a try. The person who fixed them warned me that the worst frames could possibly snap but he'd give it a try. You can tell they know their stuff too because he knew exactly where I had purchased each frame. 10 minutes later he came back with all of my frames fixed. Gave me a new nice case, and sent me on my way with lollipops for my kids. No charge. Seriously good service. I will definitely go back there when its time for my next exam. Worth the drive from JP which is very quick actually.

But I attributed it to maybe she was having a bad day or something. When I picked up my glasses, she just handed them to me, and when I put them on, they were so obviously crooked on my face. I told her they were crooked, and she did a BIG HEAVING SIGH, took them from me, and went back to adjust them. She returned, they were still crooked, and she reluctantly made a second adjustment. She acted like I was annoying her. Zero spirit of service. I recently went in for my annual appointment and things went downhill from there. The same optician was curt to me, mentioning to me that the doctor was running "a few minutes late". Understandable. I asked a few clarifying questions to the optician about timing because there was another appointment going on, and another person waiting there, and she started to get combative and nasty with me. And then, wait for it, she called me "honey" in a derogatory manner. Yes. It's 2026 and a female patient is being called honey by a woman who is clearly unhappy at her job. I asked, "Did you call me honey?" She said "Yup!". I asked her to cancel my appointment. Sadly, I really like Dr. Ding here, but I'll just go back to my prior eye place in my old zip code. I predict that this employee has gotten away with a nasty attitude for a long time. Sometimes, workplaces have people like this.... you know the type, the miserable witch everyone knows is unpleasant to everyone.... and somehow, they are allowed to stick around because nobody has the guts to correct poor behavior. Nasty work. Nasty nasty work here.

I bought a pair of expensive glasses at Lens Crafters. A month or so later I lost the screw on arm…read moreof glasses. I brought them back to get them fixed. The manager told me I would have to wait for the person to come in and fix them. I let him know I had to be someplace by 10:30, it was 9:50. He told me the employee would be to work by 10. Not sure why he couldn't fix them as he was just sitting and scrolling on his phone. At 10:05 I got up and said I couldn't wait any longer, he said ok, bye. I will never use Lens Crafters again! I went to Costco after my 10:30 appointment and the gentleman fixed them in seconds and I didn't even purchase them there!

My family and I have been long-time customers of the Dedham, MA location of Lens Crafters for our…read moreeyewear needs and they've generally provided good customer service but today's experience was a nightmare. I brought in a new pair of new frames whose lenses I wanted changed and asked the representative Ada if that is something that's easy to do. She took the frames and started to push on one of the lenses to push it from the frame but her hand was at such an angle that the outward pressure against the inside of the arm broke it off. I asked Ada what she could do to make it right, and she said she would glue the arm back on but that it wouldn't last. When I then appealed to the male store manager on duty to ask what recourse I have given what just happened, which he witnessed, he said switching out lenses is a courtesy service and if something goes wrong it's not their responsibility. He also said LensCrafters does not glue pieces back together, yet that was right after Ada had glued the arm back on. Ada accepted no responsibility for mishandling the frames and breaking the arm. I was sick to my stomach because the frames cost $650, but I kept my cool and calmly asked her if she and the manager understood why I'm upset that I brought in new frames with a question and was now leaving with broken ones that won't last, and Ada said "Don't ever come back to the store again." It was an insult on top of injury, and now I'm going back and forth with Lens Crafter corporate to try and have them replaced

I was wildly put off by the prior reviews for Warby Parker and almost didn't go, but since I went…read morethrough with it I figured I could at least share my experience in case it may help others, as I feel like this is a situation where people are only coming to review if their experience was terrible. I had an outdated prescription and was hoping to get a quick and easy appointment to get some new contacts and a pair of glasses. I love Warby Parker glasses, and I found out they can also order contacts for you (both shipped free to your house) and they do quick and dirty eye exams, which was fine for my purposes. When I arrived, they asked if I had insurance, double-checked my coverage before providing any services, and had me in the back all within a few minutes. Is this a fancy and thorough exam? No. If you want or need a full exam with dilation, go to an ophthalmologist. In general, I would recommend that as well, so this rating is not going off how thorough the exam is -- it's just not going to be thorough if you go somewhere like Warby Parker. That said, they explained everything relatively thoroughly, and turns out my prescription was the same (cool). The optometrist answered my questions, checked in at each point during the exam to ask if I had follow-ups, and explained everything as we went along. I got some free contacts and then went back to the front to look at eyeglass frames. The woman who helped me look at frames was friendly and helpful. She led me directly to what I initially wanted (knew exactly where the frames were), and had a great suggestion when the frames I was interested in didn't have the pattern I liked in the width I wanted. It took a few minutes to wait for someone to come over to check how the frames would need to be adjusted for my face, but they arrived to my house PERFECT. I was thrilled. At checkout I did need to state I had insurance again, but that's fine, this was a different person. She ran a few things through for me to figure out how to get the best price on the glasses and contacts. Everything arrived in the mail within a week. Am I regularly going to get eye exams here? No. Does it get the job done? Yes. They go quickly, but they also aren't doing that much. I didn't feel rushed, just that they were efficient. The people working in the store were all friendly, and were all helping people throughout the time I was in there. Maybe their staff has turned over since the terrible reviews last year, but I'd give this store a chance again in the future for sure, 100% for new frames since it's the closest location to me. Thanks WP!

I went to Warby Parker because my "scratch-resistant" eyeglasses had developed noticeable scratches…read moreafter only eight months. I expected the company to stand behind the quality of its product, especially considering the glasses weren't even a year old. The manager told me I was two months too late for them to do anything about it. What was even more disappointing was the customer service. Before could even respond or ask what options I had, the manager turned his attention to another customer and completely disregarded me. Warby Parker may sell relatively inexpensive glasses, but in my experience, the lower price comes with poor quality and even worse customer service. Glasses advertised as scratch-resistant should last longer than eight months, and regardless of warranty policies, a customer deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Very disappointing experience. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
