They sent a tech who identified a sewer issue and recommended hydro jetting and they running a camera through the line to confirm it was clean. $600 plus $200, which I paid. In hindsight, $200 to run a camera through the line feels a bit excessive. I honestly didn't know this was something that should be done occasionally- it's been at least 20 years, probably more. There was a lot of back up and the tech got everything out. He was a tiny bit grumpy with my tenants, which was wasn't great. Also, which i understand was not his fault at all, just kind of gross and embarrassing, when they do the flush all the water and gook comes out 'unfiltered' into the street. Since we live on a long street, that means that old sewer material was just flowing down the gutter from the house. read more

Oh, I thought I had found a plumber I could use for the apartments I managed bc my first experiences were great. Maybe I should have asked for those specific plumbers that came last time who did a great job!This time I had a different one-Rafael M. The guy proceeded to tell me on the phone in front of my tenant about "liability"issues due to a wobbly toilet if a bigger guy sits on it and falls off, blah, blah, blah. He was saying he had to open up the ceiling in the downstairs apt to access the pipes, etc.!!! That he needed 2 men and much more time. He said he would email the estimate! I was upset and told my tenant changing out this toilet seems to have become a big headache and this new tenant didn't like the 3 rust spots left behind by the old tenant when the cleaning lady dropped a hairpin in there and it stayed there a week(moving out cleaning) and rusted. We picked out the hairpin so I know it was that. The new tenant said it was slow to flush too. So I was going to change the toilet out for him. The plumber gave an estimate of $1750. to install ONE toilet!!! And I already bought 150.00 toilet and kit so that didn't include those items even! Like WTH- THAT didn't sound right to me at all! I asked other professionals and they said I was being scammed! Besides saying liability reasons, Rafael also said he never saw anyone install a toilet like this before and it must be a handyman. Well, that toilet has been working all along for the past 6-7 years fine without issues and now all this?! Come to find out, as I sent someone else to install the toilet, it was all bogus! The plumber that came did not even lift the toilet off, so how in the world did he know he needed to go to the bottom floor ceiling?! The flush was occasionally slow bc the pipe went down and had a right angle so depending on the amount being flushed it could bottleneck a bit, but no big deal. But this plumber even said how would he know anything, if he didn't even lift off the toilet? And the toilet was not wobbly before it was even tightened down recently when we were looking at it to determine what toilet we will get. I responded to Fast Responses estimate email that there is NO WAY I will be paying 1750. for installing ONE toilet! And they said that estimate does NOT include the ceiling hole that I will have to fix after on my own!!! So I'm looking at a 2-3k plus thousand install for this project?! I told him sorry that tenant will have to stick with the old toilet for that much! Sheesh! Anyway, I got someone else who installed the toilet and it is fine! With the angle issues, we got a better toilet that assisted and had a strong and more powerful flush and this solved that problem ( just in case any of you have that issue on older buildings maybe)! I was really disappointed this time and like I said I called them anytime I had an issue and the other guys were great! I didn't appreciate the plumber talking in front of my tenant when I'm hiring them and would be the one paying for the bill and the property manager! I don't need my tenant to know the inaccurate details that made the situation look worse than it really was! And at least I was smart enough and have done this job long enough to know complete BS when I hear it as I have done enough repairs and home improvement jobs so have experience! Anyway, toilet is done and working fine and a LOT cheaper by over 1500. plus dollars! I really don't appreciate being gouged and this is a heads up to Yelpers and customers if it sounds fishy or not right, to get other estimates! And don't get complacent with one company and blindly trust them! Really disappointed...smh! They have lost a lot of business from me with the apartments I manage. I do want to say that the owner did respond to my email and stated he would come look at it and try to solve the problem, so at least he was good for that! It may not be his fault as he is the owner and sometimes you have no control on what your employees may do, but still the ultimate responsibility does lie with the business owner- good or bad. read more

I had a sewer drain pipe clog that has been a chronic issue. Roots have gotten into the pipe (old house in the Sunset neighborhood) over the years. Yefrin showed up on time, diagnosed the issue, and helped temporarily resolve the issue with hydro-jetting. I write "temporarily" as the sewer drain pipe will need to be removed and replaced in the near future since the roots will continue to clog the pipe if it is not replaced. AWESOME business overall. I called them one afternoon when we noticed we had a leaky pipe, and notification from SFPUC that we had a leak (UGHS!). They said they were available to come out the next morning, and what a journey it's been. Out of the three different businesses we got quotes from, Fast Response Plumbing was the most reasonably priced, and at the end of it, the quickest turn around time, and provided great quality work. They had great expertise in the subject, I felt like they weren't ripping us off, and just did a great job. They also have a good texting service - they let you know when their staff is on their way for the morning, and you can text that number for questions, and they will call you their answer. They also repaved some concrete in the front of our house, and were very welcoming to having us put the handprints of our daughter & dog while it was still wet!
