We have used A plus decorating for many projects and Chano and his team has not disappointed us!! He repaired our garage ceiling after water damage caused the ceiling to fall through and made it look better than it did before. During that same project his team took out old shelving in our garage and installed brand new standard and bracket shelving. This shelving unit looks great and created much better organization in our garage space. We also had Chano and his team refinish our floors and paint all the window trim and baseboards white and they did a remarkable job! I was beyond impressed with the transformation. More recently while we were moving out of our previous home one of the movers had damaged one of the boards going down into the basement and Chano came in to quickly fix it for us. It looks good as new and never would've known there was a broken baseboard previously. With being in the process of selling our home his timely response was beyond appreciated. The last project we had the team work on was painting our new home and again beautiful job! We were up against a tight timeline and Chano and the team worked diligently to get the project done before our move in date while still maintaining a great work product. They stayed late the night before we moved to make sure everything was completed in time and we couldn't have been more appreciative. I called A Plus Decorating to have my rental townhome painted before being put up on the market. After calling two other companies to find out that they were booking project 2-4 months out, I became doubtful that I would be able to get anyone to complete the project on such short notice. The third phone call I made was to A Plus Decorating and I got a hold of Chano. After explaining my situation, Chano asked a number of relevant questions and then asked if he could see the property. I told him whenever he could squeeze me in, I would be available to show it to him. He asked to meet THAT DAY at noon and I said yes! I took Chano around the townhome showing him damage that needed to be repaired and all that I would like done...some necessary, some optional. Chano spent a great amount of time detailing all my requests and by the next date I had an quote for all the projects we had discussed. The quote came back and it was more than I wanted to spend, but what I really liked about this quote, was that it was itemized!! I was able to pick and choose projects I thought were most important to get accomplished and those that fit within the budget I wanted to spend. When at the townhome initially, Chano told me he would itemize everything for me so that I could prioritize what I wanted/needed done. He also indicated that he never wanted to be the businessman that got into a client's house with a low offer/bid and then slowly increased the cost of the project once the contract was signed and the customer decided to "add on" projects. He wanted to give clients upfront itemized pricing so they knew exactly what they were going to pay so they could prioritize the project based on their budget...which I LOVED!! He also told me the project would take one week to complete, which I was perfect for my timeline. After signing the adjusted contract a couple days later, Chano and his crew were ready to start THE NEXT DAY! They had just finished a huge job and were able to squeeze me in which I was grateful for. I stopped by the townhome at Chano's request the afternoon they started and the townhome was a bee hive of activity! There were guys everywhere working their butts off!! Three in the garage, four or five in the living/dining room and 2 upstairs! Seaming, taping, spackling, sanding. Banisters, lights and floors were covered for protection...they were doing it all! The next day (Saturday) I stopped by, not expecting anyone to be there and once again, the place was a bee hive of activity!! WOW!! The damage walls in the garage looked great, painting had begun and the transformation was amazing! A few days later I stopped by at night to water the flowers outside and entered the townhome to find it completely done!! Every single, dent, ding, nail pop and damaged wall had been repaired and painted to perfection!! I walked around in awe as to how amazing the property looked! In addition, there was absolutely no evidence that a major crew had been there for 5 days, everything was cleaned perfectly! Chano is an amazing ethical businessman that wants to provide a great service and quality product to his clients. I couldn't recommend him and his company enough! Showings for the townhome were booked solid for 2 days and I had 3 offers the first day, 7 offers in total 6 out of 7 over asking price!! DO NOT USE FOR FLOORING!!!!!!! Chano and his team did a decent job at painting considering I left over 50 sticky notes of what needed to be done which more than half was sloppy. Now on to the floors.... what a disaster! Sure, chano is extremely pleasant to work when you first meet him and so helpful but the real test is when things go bad, his responses are nothing but excuses. I will attach pictures of the floor work that was done and you can see for yourself why you need to look elsewhere. Just to inform you chano is NEVER on site during these projects. He has his group of men working that don't have the level of expertise needed to do these jobs. Whoever did the floors didn't communicate how poor they looked before applying the final coat and for this reason I'm stuck with Dalmatian looking floors that Chano said it was because previous owners may have had pets that stained the floors. Ok Chano, isn't it your job to let me know how horrible they looked before applying your final coat of poly?? What if I wanted to fix them by replacing some boards or do 2 coats instead. He was so concerned about the next project and didn't want to delay the next project any longer. So basically my money means nothing to you. He did say he would re do the floors but that is very unrealistic considering my parents are elderly and couldn't be out the house for more than 2 weeks and now you want to remove all the furniture all over again and remove my elderly parents again? Not going to happen. Don't trust someone that is never there on site during the house projects and responses are excuses. See you in court. read more

Never showed up to an appointment after confirming on the phone and via text. I provided pictures of the damaged hardwood floor and provided dimensions. I had hope that this was sufficient for an estimate over the phone or email but he insisted on an onsite estimate. I spoke to Chano directly and had to follow up twice in order confirm the appointment. I showed up and waited for 30 minutes. I texted him and he did not answer my phone call during the wait. We had Chano and his team out almost two years ago to completely redo our new home's hardwood flooring, of which was in every single room of the house. We had just purchased the home and found the flooring to be outdated, roughed up, and not the color we wanted. I waited to post a review so I could see how the work would hold up over time. I must say that I highly recommend A Plus Decorating, Inc. for flooring and painting needs as they really do a fantastic job that lasts. I've always been a little tired of reviews that talk about how wonderful the work was right after the workers left. How about later on, right? Chano told me that the last prep stage step would be a hand done "hands-and-knees" sanding finish before staining to achieve a perfect and long lasting look. Everything involving finish work will only ever be as good as the prep work and boy is that ever true. It's been almost two years and still no damage or scratching to the flooring which can only mean that A Plus used the best quality products and took time and care to install them properly. They were able to replace boards, completely install some new, and rework some other areas at the same time as matching all of the coloring to obtain one cohesive look. I do take care of my things which helps, but no matter what you end up having to walk on the floor... Therefore, the work that A Plus did must have been that good to make it last! So happy I found this company! On a fluke, I typed in on Thumbtack that I needed a engineered hardwood floor installed in my living room/dining-room and the same rooms needed paint. I received a reply from Chano ( A Plus Decorating ) within minutes. The next day Chano came out and gave me an estimate, it was reasonable/ not low but competitive, and I hired him. The paint job turned out to be the best ever, not only did they paint but filled in any and all imperfections and nail holes on the walls! Turned out great! I also love my new engineered hardwood floor, it turned out fabulous! Chano and his crew were always on time, clean and professional.
