I feel we received a fair inspection but had a couple minor questions and were unable to get back in touch with the inspector. Then came the radon. They are a radon mitigation company that advertise a LIFETIME warranty, well that's not even close to true. It just happened that the home they inspected for my client they had installed a mitigation system just over 5 years ago, I sent them their advertising material and there was a whole list of things that you need to do for the warranty to be in place and it was only good for 5 years. This particular house that they installed the mitigation system the warranty wasn't good for a day because of a location of a wall. If you want a big company feel with terrible customer service and a company that doesn't stand behind their service this is the company for you. RUN don't walk. SHAME ON YOU AXIUM.

He was very factual with his findings and the rationale behind them. This allowed us to make an informed decision on our potential new to us home. The scheduling team was also awesome and they helped pivot days/times of availability. Customer service and check ins by the team after the inspection were nice - shows the team/company cares.

Our first inspection by Scott's was excellent. Extremely detailed & in depth. That's why we came…read moreback. The most recent one was a different story. The inspector seemed to gloss over many things & tried to downplay issues without evidence. We were called prior & told our inspector would take only two hours to finish an inspection that normally takes longer -- I think he glossed over many things as a result. Specifics we found after moving in that a visual inspection should have caught: * An interior door on the second floor with visible crack/damage from being forced. The report says interior doors were tested. This one isn't noted anywhere. * Mouse droppings under the kitchen sink -- a cabinet he opened & photographed -- & elsewhere in the home. No mention in the report. We now have an active rodent problem we didn't know about at closing. * The front door handle sticks & fights you when unlocking. Entry door locks & latches are explicitly listed as inspected in his own report. On top of that, three window coverings fell off the wall the first time we pulled the cords. Technically outside inspection scope -- but it speaks to the overall condition of a house we were told had basically nothing wrong with it. The in-person review made it worse. We were told there was basically nothing wrong with the house, & our questions were treated as an inconvenience. He seemed annoyed, arrogant & unkind. When asked, he explicitly said he didn't see evidence of mice -- verbally & on the report -- leading me to believe he was lazy & sped through it. Not characteristics of a great inspector. His own report lists 59 maintenance items & 8 repair recommendations -- so the verbal summary & the written report told two different stories. When I hire an inspector, I'm more impressed by people who are nit picky than forgiving. This is a huge purchase so I prefer someone who's kind, willing to take the time to make sure he doesn't miss anything at all & looks out for us. There are less expensive inspectors out there who are less forgiving than Scott's was this time around. I pay for anal retentive. That was not my experience. Worst of all? I asked for a refund & they flat out refused. It's possible they could do the same for you. I don't think we'll use Scott's ever again. I wouldn't recommend them & ESPECIALLY not Todd Brualdi for inspection services. I'm disappointed in Scott's leadership. Once upon a time, (in my opinion) it felt like a well ran firm that cared about their clients. That's not my opinion, anymore.

He was very thorough in both inspections. His first report helped me create a punchlist of to-do items for the builder prior to closing. Since I was still living out of state, this was extremely helpful. On his more recent inspection and report, he re-noted some attic circulation problems that had gone unaddressed prior to closing. I confirmed with the city building inspector that this deficiency is not compliant with city building code and should be addressed by the builder. Mr. Baker followed up with numerous phone calls and emails to me and to the city building department. The builder is now in the process of remedying the deficiency. I found Mr. Baker to be thorough, respectful, knowledgeable, and straightforward with his reports and his verbal explanations to my questions.

Let me start by saying l've never left a negative review of a company before, until today. This is…read morethe second mold company that has come to my house in the past year. The first one was exceptional! However, my experiences with Mold inspection sciences, left very much to be desired. The inspector wasn't prepared completely for the inspection, his equipment wasn't properly charged, needing to be fully charged. Also, the inspector was squabbling with one of his internal associates about closing out several reports from previous (other home inspections) while at my property. I know this, because he made it clearly known to me his disdain toward his internal associate. He sat at my table multiple times, trying to close out (others) reports all while trying to do my inspection. My wife noticed this too. Not to mention I had to connect him to my internet. Which is totally understandable if he were working on my report. This is something that I've spoken to their company about multiple times and they assured me that it is common practice for their ORGANIZATION. My rebuttal was if I'm paying such a premium ($1300) for Services I want his undivided detention so he wouldn't miss anything. After complaining about this, they talked me into moving forward with their full detailed report of my home. I have been struggling with health issues due to confirmed mycotoxin exposure through independent labs. Against my better judgment and out of desperation, I said yes. Their director of sales assured me despite my previous issues the report would be worth the money. Upon receiving the report on Friday afternoon, the project manager was trying to rush me through the report, even though i notified him I was in a car with four kids. Lastly, and most egregious in my opinion is when I got the report it had somebody else's MASTER BEDROOM. That in of itself should negate the entire report. How can someone trust the accuracy and validity of the samples that were taken for health reasons if I can't trust their final report to me? When I called them, they assured me that everything ELSE in the report was accurate, but it was just a clerical or system error that generated somebody else's house in my report. Services were not rendered in the entirety according to the agreement, the inspector was utterly distracted, the accuracy of my so-called detailed report was faulty, and lastly, the timing of and informed consent weren't sent to me to sign until three hours after the inspection. Please see just a small sampling of the complaint letter I sent to them. I am a husband, and a father of four boys and money is tight. I don't feel like it is a lot to ask for a full refund seeing they did not uphold their end of the bargain. The report was sloppily put together with somebody else's master bedroom in it. The report wasn't corrected until after (I contacted) the company and told them my dissatisfaction and ability to trust the report. I'm writing this complaint so no one else gets negatively affected by this company; especially if they're having health issues like iam. I will end by saying I chose them because of their website looked incredibly professional, however hindsight is 20/20. Upon going back and looking at the reviews on their company, they don't have one complaint on their website that I could find. No honest company in my opinion would be so one-sided with reviews as to only have five star reviews across the board. I'm simply asking for some type of refund because of these reasons...which I feel is not at all a huge ask.
