Long Distance Service--Friday July 3rd 2026 We live in the Washington DC area. My wife was visiting Anaheim for a family emergency. Her 3 wheel go-go scooter stopped working while going to CVS which left her stranded unable to walk home. She called me here in DC and we managed to barely get scootie back to the RV Park. I began looking for someone that could maybe look at the problem and fix it. After a bunch of calls later I finally called Amos Mobility. A guy named John answered listened and responded to my need for service and was very sympathetic. He went to pick up the scooter and take it back to his shop. On the 4th of July a holiday he worked diagnosing the scooter and repairing it. He tested and verified it and on Sunday the 5th he returned it to my wife and waited for her to test drive it around the park. She was excited to be able get her mobility back. Unfortunately, the stroller we rented was not in good condition at all. In all honesty, based on its condition, I feel it needs to be replaced rather than rented to another family. The stroller was extremely worn and had several issues. On the first day, getting it to close was a nightmare, and we nearly missed our bus because we were struggling to get it folded. Thankfully, my husband was able to figure out how to unjam it. On the second day, the support piece in the back of the seat--the bar and cardboard that help keep the seat sturdy--completely came out. We also noticed that the bottom of the stroller would drag on the ground whenever we put even a certain amount of items in the storage area. It was clear that the stroller had significant wear and was no longer functioning the way it should. I understand that rental items will naturally show some wear and tear, but this stroller was beyond normal use and should have been inspected and replaced before being rented again. We relied on the stroller during our trip, so having these issues was frustrating and inconvenient. read more

I rented a scooter from Amos Scooter Rentals for three days, and unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from the very beginning. The day before our rental, John called to verify the size of our vehicle. During the call, he was extremely rude and repeatedly cut both my mom and me off while we were speaking. We have rented and used scooters many times before and have never had an issue with our vehicle being too small. John insisted that I send him a picture of the cargo space in my car, which I did, along with a link to the vehicle's dimensions. Our scooter was scheduled to be delivered to our hotel at 8:00 AM on the first morning. Since we were only in the LA area for three days, we had planned to have breakfast with family that morning. However, John insisted on meeting us in person to verify the vehicle, so we had to cancel our breakfast plans to accommodate him. When John arrived, he brought a three-wheel scooter even though I had rented a four-wheel scooter for my mom. My mom was understandably nervous because she has only used four-wheel scooters. When I asked why we received a three-wheel scooter, John initially told me that his company does not have four-wheel scooters. When I pointed out that the website advertises four-wheel scooters, he changed his explanation and said they only have a small number of them. The interaction regarding my mom was particularly disappointing. John said the Go-Go Elite Traveler would have an issue with someone her size and proceeded to ask her how much she weighed. She declined to answer because, quite frankly, asking someone their weight in that manner is inappropriate. I reminded him that I had already provided her weight when making the reservation and that information should have been on file. He then recommended that she rent a larger scooter, which we declined. John continued by talking about people over 600 pounds breaking scooters and then spent another 15 minutes explaining how customers had supposedly broken batteries, keys, seats, frames, etc. He also demonstrated how to dismantle and load the scooter. While I understand the importance of explaining how to properly use and transport the equipment, the entire interaction came across as more of a lecture than customer service. What makes this especially ironic is that John told us he was more in the "customer service business" than the scooter rental business. Based on our experience, I would strongly disagree. Good customer service starts with basic respect--listening to your customers, not repeatedly interrupting them, and certainly not making inappropriate comments about a customer's body or weight. Overall, the experience was unnecessarily stressful and left a very bad impression. We were visiting the LA area for only three days, and instead of starting our trip with our family, we had to rearrange our plans to deal with issues that should have been handled before the rental. I would not rent from Amos Scooter Rentals again, and based on this experience, I would have a hard time recommending them to anyone else. John could use some serious customer-service training. read more

Loved our experience with Amos. We had our scooter for 6 days for 170 (including tax). Iʻve shopped around Anaheim mobility scooters and this was the cheapest I found. What a bargain!! We had the option to have it dropped off at the park or at our hotel- we picked hotel. After paying online, it was delivered on time and we picked our keys up in the lobby with our receptionist. Super convenient!! Our scooter worked great and lasted the whole day in the parks- I almost wanted to rent another for myself too. Was easy to get in and out of the Art shuttles. Even had a little basket in the front to hold drinks. This gave my husband lots of independence and made his trip so much easier. I'd def recommend getting a mobility scooter with Amos!!! They actually answer their phones! This was the first time we needed the use of a scooter, so I had several questions. I had called 3 of their competitors and for some reason, no one answered the phones nor responded to emails! Amos actually answered their phone and was very patient with all me questions. They were easy to work with, the cheapest I could find for the same scooters as everyone else. I will say the only negative part was that the scooter didn't fully charge overnight with the provided charging cable. It lasted the first day no problem because it was charged before I received it but my other 3 days at Disney (rope drop to close) the scooter died before the end of the day after charging 10/11pm- 7am in my hotel room. They were nice enough to drop it off the night before at no extra charge so that I could rope drop :) I do recommend them. read more

I reserved a scooter to be delivered to my hotel tonight at 7pm. As of yet, no scooter at 10pm and it's too late to find another. This has destroyed my morning plans and will probably keep me from sleeping well. No call, no email, nobody answers the phone. Beware the cheap price, the service sucks. It's super not cool to provide a reservation and confirmation and then just disappear. read more

John was very kind to drop the scooter off early the day before. He gave me valuable information about the park and I appreciate that. But the scooter kept intermittently turning off , not holding a charge.I parked it hoping it would get better and in the park I didn't want to ruin my vacation so I parked it and had to walk. Finally I got so tired I text John and told him the scooter won't hold a charge . John who had been kind to me said " you didn't charge the scooter! We put brand new batteries in all our scooter s". I was floored, he accused me of not charging the scooter when I had. Then the very kind service man came out and gave me a good scooter that held a charge and later told me the battery cable was loose causing the problems. For 2 days I couldn't even use the scooter with the problem s and I get yelled at and accused of not charging the scooter. I was very disappointed. read more

My cousin was in town and she is going through chemotherapy , and she wanted to go to Disneyland, but we knew she would never have the energy to walk around the parks all day. We stayed at the Disneyland hotel and I decided to rent her an Electric Scooter (ECV) . They met us with the scooter at the time they promised, right in the valet area. He went over how to use the scooter, and how not to use the scooter. It was a lot of info to learn at once, but at the same time he wanted to make sure we didnt break the scooter and didnt have any issues working it. The scooter was great! Battery lasted all day. We enjoyed being able to get around, and not have to worry about my cousin exhausting herself. Scooter ran great, had great speed , and great turning . I would highly recommend this scooter company to anyone staying at a Disneyland resort hotel or hotel near by. We used it for two and a half days , and had no issues at all. Returning the scooter was just as easy , he met us again in the valet area for pick up. read more

He will drop scooters off at most Disneyland hotels. Scooters are in great condition and ready to go. If we make another trip will definitely look him up for our needs. Reasonably priced too. I rented a scooter for Disneyland from Apple. Apple was purchased by Amos. I received a phone call the night before from the owner who proceeded to tell me everything I was going to do wrong with the scooter. He gave me incorrect information such as I had to take the scooter to my hotel room and I shouldn't ride it in the hallways (I should push it). He was sure I was going to joy ride with my children on it in Disneyland and security was going to take it away from me (my children are adults). When I tried to explain that wasn't going to happen he interrupted me and told me he "knew" I was going to let my kids ride on the scooter. I was so confused as to why I was being chewed out for things that other people had done (I guess) that I tried to cancel but he assured me I was not getting any money back. I will never use this company again. The rudeness alone was enough to make me give it a zero rating. read more
