A great massage is the answer for what to do in wine country between 4 pm and dinner. The legit spa was right off the main square of Healdsburg in a simple, clean office. My masseuse Saied J. was talented at deep tissue and days later I'm still moving better. What a great start to an evening in Sonoma. The early evening is a hard time to fill: During these hours tasting rooms are closed, and the pandemic shuts most shops at 5 pm. Bars? Who wants to drink more after a day at wineries. Snacking? I love a good massage, and this place really did the trick for me. I suffer from sciatica on both sides. Jin was able to work through those tight muscles and offer me some relief that I have not had in a really long time. We went here for massages this weekend and I can honestly say it turned out to be one of the BEST massages I've ever had. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his as well. I had a Swedish massage, and the entire experience was awesome. The masseuse was very friendly and keenly interested in making the experience great for me. He asked me questions and then just let me enjoy the time. His pressure and touch were perfect, and he was very intuitive. Same for my husband - his deep tissue massage was excellent and the entire experience was what he'd hoped for. The receptionist was super friendly and genuine; and the facility itself is well appointed, calming and soothing. Overall this was a FIVE STAR experience, and we're very willing to drive north (it's about 2 1/2 hours for us without traffic!) to come here again. Only downside is parking is difficult - so get there with plenty of time to park! read more

Had the best massage by Patty. I consider myself a seasoned pro when it comes to deep tissue and Patty is the real deal. This is a no frills establishment but I don't think that matters with a great massage. The bed was comfortable and music was perfect. Only one suggestion would be to use eye masks when on your back. Excellent session with Saied. I requested the deepest deep tissue possible with focus on calves, neck and upper back. This was an athletic pounding massage but Saied always adjusted pressure as needed, and (again my request) answering my questions on muscle names, connect points and structure. We live in the Bay Area and came to Healdsburg for our anniversary and scheduled massages. I've had many massages but nothing like I received here at A Simple Touch. My husband said his massage was amazing as well by Nancy. But I can only speak on mine who was with Saied. OMG he was absolutely THE BEST!!! He massaged places that I never felt w any other massage. He did what he called a Therapeutic deep tissue and it was wonderful. Our massages were so good, that we decided we're going to drive here every other month to get one. My boyfriend and I made a spontaneous weekend trip to explore Marin and Sonoma Counties - luckily, Jin, the owner of this spa, was so accommodating, flexible, and helpful! On Saturday morning, I messaged Jin on Yelp about scheduling a couples massage for the next day. She quickly replied that indeed they could schedule us and if we had a preferred time. Unfortunately, I could not reply until later in the night - we were in Point Reyes all day and had no phone reception. By the time I had reception again on Saturday night, I was expecting that there would no longer be any available appointments... luckily we were able to schedule a couples Swedish massage for the next day! When we arrived, Jin was very welcoming and offered us hot water to warm us up from the cold outside. We filled out some paperwork, before we were brought to the massage rooms. This was the very first time both my boyfriend and I had massages, and we both enjoyed them. I had an older male massage therapist, and he checked in on me often (I think because it was my first time.) Some of the Yelp reviews here write of too much or too little pressure used, but I think that this is more of a fault of communication rather than skill. Luckily, my therapist frequently asked if the amount of pressure he applied was fine with me - this resulted in a wonderful, relaxing massage. After a long 5 hour hike on Saturday, my sore body definitely felt indefinitely better after the massage! My boyfriend also enjoyed his massage very much. A Simple Touch Spa was the best place to have our first massages - now we're considering having massages every month! read more

Once again my wife and I found ourselves in Healdsburg, and, this time, it was for a family gathering. Anyway, after a visit to Selby Winery Tasting Room, we noticed this quaint little Spa tucked away in an alley/driveway next to the Ivy House. Heck, after having to deal with our families, we needed a drink and, now, a good massage to get our tight-politeness-McDonald-smile out of the way -especially MINE! Luckily for us, this place has open slots after 6pm -perfect time for us to walk over to HBG for a snack, little bit of shopping and back here for treatments. As my wife and I entered the Spa, we were greeted with genuine and unpretentious smiles from Jin. It turns out that she is the new owner since June 1, 2013, and has been busy putting in a lot of TLC into this place. She admitted that there are still some works to be done -like fixing the sound system- but overall the place looks warm, clean, inviting, and without the heaviness of oil smell. It is a small spa with only three treatment rooms (one for couple), and a room with a huge tub (3 or 4 people may fit). Anyway, my wife opted to have the Swedish therapy with another therapist and me the Deep Tissue with Jin. Before my treatment, Jin asked me for additional clarification on the Client Intake Form that I just completed. I admit that -at first- I was annoyed by this, but, by doing so, Jin was able to adjust her treatment method to help me out with my left shoulder pain via a combo of Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, and Sports Therapy. Boy, she was right to question me further and I THANKS her for it. Jin digs deep into my muscles, isolated those pesky knots and breaks them up, and, also, stretches the tight muscle-tendons areas to where I feel so loose and relax to the point that I wanted to go back to the inn and veg. OH, for a while there I thought this girl might know some martial-arts (she doesn't) because the way she locked my joins to do the stretches are great and almost martial-art like. I would definitely recommend Jin and her spa to my friends. read more

My best friend and I went to Healdsburg last weekend for a Spa Getaway. We spent several hours being pampered and spoiled at A Simple Touch Spa! I had a 90 minute massage and a 1 hour Flower Berry Facial by Jin. OH MY GOSH... it was amazing! The massage technique that my massage therapist Jin used was so incredible! Long, slow soothing stretching movements which made my muscles melt in relaxation! I have had many massages in my life but hands down this was the best ever! She allowed me to completely relax and I felt all of my stresses disappear! The spa was extremely clean and the massage table was very comfortable. I liked that she used a heated gel pad on top of the table which kept me warm and soothed my muscles. Jin shared with me that she purchased the spa about 6 months ago from the previous owner and was so happy to be in the business of helping others feel better as massage is her true passion. She was an absolute pleasure to work with while booking our appt. times. She was so accommodating and even offered us suggestions on where we should spend some of our time while we were in Healdsburg for the weekend. Beth, at A Simple Touch, was extremely warm over the phone and quick with her email correspondence to answer my questions. We booked 4 massages for our group - with one couples massage as we had a rookie with us. The place was very warm, but very small; they couldn't have handled more than the 4 of us. We did all loved our massages and our deep tissue work. Everyone was very friendly and gracious. We also got some clippings of her cool plant that closes up like a taco each night! Hope it makes it back to Philly. This spa was great for the services, but there wasn't much else - like no relaxing room or other spaces to hang out before and after. read more

My gf and I went to Windsor for a girls' weekend and we wanted to do a spa day.
