The meatleaf came with my choice of mashed potatoes and cole slaw. The meatloaf was one of the better meatlofs I've had at a restaurant in recent memory. I ordered three chicken wings (they were oversized - not my preference), potato salad, black eyed peas and one piece of cornbread. The chicken lacked flavor. It was just big and kind of greasy. The sides were fine. Ordered a piece of sweet potato pie to go and that was fine. The jazz contained a lot of talking. It was nice when they started playing line dancing music and there was a small area to dance. The dancing wasn't offensive or in the way...it was just right. Then came more talking. And advertising of a cruise, etc. It was okay, but I wish they played more music than talking. The same night, the restaurant attempted to charge me for a missed reservation fee ($5 per person). Luckily, I keep my AMEX locked. Weird, I gave my name to the hostess upon check-in. Wonder if that's happened to others. All-in-all, it was an okay experience. Oh boy, it deserves to be on the list! (and we've tried 3 out of 10 from the list). The chicken was perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. It was super crispy without being greasy. No residual grease on the serving plate/box. We've tried the wings, the chicken sandwich, and chicken & waffle (tenders). All items were very good. The only thing I didn't care for is coleslaw. It's little too sweet for me. I think next time I'm gonna go for Mac & cheese or spinach as the side. Also, they have options for mumbo sauce and honey mustard. The service was also great. The food came out within reasonable time. The guy who took order was helpful and patient. Unlike a lot of fried chicken places, the restaurant didn't smell like grease and it's clean. 10/10 will come back for more. PS: They also have other locations.
