IEP With Help was a great resource in understanding and navigating the IEP process. They were friendly and answered all of our questions, no matter how basic. They joined our IEP meeting with the school and district to help us get what our son needed. Thank you all, from two previously exhausted parents and their grateful son.

I don't even know where to begin. Finding IEP With Help -- operated by Diego and Madelyn Sologuren…read moreand Amber Cooper -- was the best decision I've ever made for my twin sons. I reached out desperately needing an advocate after years of frustration, confusion, and getting nowhere with the school district. After just one consultation, they joined me at my sons' IEP meeting the following week, and I was in absolute shock at how much they were able to accomplish after just one meeting. What started with one IEP quickly turned into a series of strategic, intentional meetings, each one bringing us closer to accountability and real solutions. It wasn't overnight, but their consistency and pressure made all the difference. They asked all the right questions, the kind that only an experienced advocate would know to ask. They challenged the district in a way I never could as a parent alone, and they did it respectfully, knowledgeably, and with total confidence in my boys' rights. Watching them work was like watching people who not only knew the law inside and out, but who genuinely cared about my kids as if they were their own. From the very beginning, they walked me through everything step by step. They took the time to explain my sons' IEPs in detail, something no school team has ever done. I finally felt heard, empowered, and most importantly, supported. They made sure my boys got exactly what they were promised under FAPE, and when the district fell short, they didn't back down. Because of them, my sons now have a plan in place that will completely shift the course of their academic progress and self regulation, a direct result of the team's relentless advocacy and dedication. Madelyn spent hours behind the scenes using her investigation skills and due diligence to uncover the district's missteps, while Amber was like a legal encyclopedia, firing back with exact amendments and language without missing a beat. Diego especially... he should seriously become a lawyer. The way he advocated for my family felt like I had my own brother in the room fighting for us. That level of passion, knowledge, and care is rare and it's exactly what every parent of a child with special needs deserves. From now until my boys graduate high school, IEP With Help will be at every IEP meeting. That's a promise I've made to myself and to my kids. I am forever grateful to this team, my heart is full. If you're a parent who's struggling to navigate this system, please don't wait. Call them. They are the real deal.

Throughout her stay, the Oak Grove team demonstrated patience, compassion, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping her succeed. They provided a structured and supportive environment that helped her focus on her education, personal growth, and emotional well-being. I especially appreciate the dedication of the therapists, teachers, and residential staff who worked tirelessly to encourage her, guide her, and help her stay on track. No program is perfect, but I truly believe Oak Grove's staff cares deeply about the youth they serve. As a father, I am thankful for the effort, kindness, and support they showed my daughter. I wish continued success to the entire Oak Grove Center team as they continue making a positive impact on the lives of young people and their families. We brought wrap around services back in, and while schools were closed/remote, we managed him at home with some psych admissions to Del Amo, with in person return to Switzer Learning Center, but transitioned him to a full public school for the last two years of high school where he graduated with high honors and Dean's List. Hang in there, it's worth it.

She attended two days out of the week and transitioned to four days. But in that short amount of time my daughter was positively impacted by Miss Jamie. Miss Jamie, your passion and dedication for these children is out of this world. You really proved that to me during the "graduation ceremony" that we had this past year. I got emotional listening to you speak with passion that morning and I am SO GRATEFUL my daughter had the opportunity to be impacted by you. She had a blast in your class! She's been attending kindergarten but asks about you almost every single day. We are currently waitlisted for the after school program and hope to run into you at some point. It's funny how things work out in this world- I used to attend this recreation center in elementary/middle school and it's brought me so much joy seeing the growth of this location. Most of them are parents, so they have proper experience with this kind of stuff. The best part about the staff is that they don't just focus on teaching, they focus on YOU. The teachers have less students which means they can focus on students individually. Other schools have teachers which focus on the class as a student body. The teachers want to know YOU and what YOU need help on and what YOU like. It may be smaller than your average school, but makes up for it for the indivual care the teachers put into the students. It's a great cross between homeschool and school, where you have less stress and all the kids are chill and you get all the knowledge you need. It's a great low-stress alternative with social aspects to homeschool. ICA also has class 2 days a week (Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday). ICA helps kids LEARN subjects at an more appropriate pace and is great with helping each student GROW to be the best version of themselves. ICA will make your child SOAR into the wonders of fun and low-stress! Thanks ICA!

The office staff was so warm and welcoming, and our daughter loved picking out her supplies to create her own I Can Academy bag. When it ended, she was smiling and excited to bring home new flash cards to practice blending sounds. A few days later, she had an assessment at a private school for kindergarten, which included sounding out letters and blending them. She did so well--and I couldn't believe how quickly the lessons from the academy had already made an impact. This is absolutely the place to go if you want a warm, child-first learning experience. We highly recommend it!
