Come to find out the car is totaled so I didn't need to have any work done, but I can say they dealing with this place and my insurance and all that has been, compared to other experiences with body shops/repair shops, post accident or whatever other reason has been a joy. Super nice, welcoming, easy and friendly. It seems I'm not then only one, their reviews are great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends. A to Z has been our family's auto body shop for decades. That said, they recently went above and beyond. My husband purchased a Bunting 1939 patio glider, chairs, and tables. They definitely needed restoration. While there for a car related reason, I asked Junior if they were willing to take these pieces on. Very bad service. They said I had to wait for insurance to approve meanwhile never sent in their quote and kept telling Me I couldn't call and see what was taking so long. I finally decided to contact My insurance myself and they contacted A To Z and it got approved within the hour. They told Me to bring My car in a couple days later and when I got there they never reserved a rental for Me and none were available. A TO Z AUTOBODY PREVIOUSLY BEGGED THEIR "FRIENDS IN THE BUSINESS" TO REMOVE THIS REVIEW BECAUSE IT EXPOSES THEIR LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My experience at A to Z Autobody was nothing short of a uncommunicative nightmare. Despite its reputation for doing outstanding body work, be prepared for a lack of communication, respect, and a complete disregard for your time if you decide to take your car to this establishment. There were a plethora of issues from the time I called this business for my initial consultation up until the time that I picked up the vehicle. My mother needed a new mirror cover for the rearview mirror on the right side, as well as a completely new antenna for the top of her vehicle. I also requested that they take a look at my mother's key remote, as the car no longer beeped once the lock button was hit. I called this business on a Friday and was told that the antenna was not on backorder. My response to the gentleman was to "keep me informed if anything changes and let's set up a day for installation next week." Despite that simple request, the gentleman at the counter ignored me for almost three weeks. Not only were we lied to about the part not being on backorder, but we also weren't kept in the loop about it. The only time I would learn of any update with the mirror was when I would call the secretary, who on TWO DIFFERENT OCCASIONS put me on hold for 8-10 minutes while the bodyworkers in the back took their time coming to the phone. If that wasn't enough, the primary worker, who is also the owner, couldn't own up to the fact that he ignored one of my requests for service, which was the issue with the key remote and the car not beeping once locked. Instead of admitting that he forgot to look at it, he blamed me for "telling him about the problem that morning." I'm sorry, but when I'm told that my car is "ready to be picked up", my guess is that all of my service requests have at least been looked into. They completely forgot to look at my mother's key remote, and the owner couldn't even own up to this. I'm not sure if it's an ego thing, but when I continuously asked him why this wasn't done despite me being told that my "car was ready", he proceeded to talk over me and deflect his own ignorance with the issue. Fast forward to yesterday at 4:40pm (20 minutes until the establishment was due to close), the gentleman at the counter is sitting there giving me the amount I owe and asking me when I would like to pick up the vehicle. The next morning, he calls me to inform me that the mirror cover that we provided was not a fit (which I completely own, that part is on me). However, WHY WAS I TOLD MY CAR WAS READY WHEN THE WORK WASN'T OFFICIALLY COMPLETED? Once again, an establishment that deflects blame and puts it all on the customers, treating them as though they are inferior. BEWARE: The cheaper your issue, the last regard they'll have for you. I was given the run-around for six weeks, more than likely because my issue wasn't profitable enough for them, therefore, I was put on the backburner. And perhaps the most insulting thing of all: They offered to take $5 off any future work we needed to on the car. That is the biggest slap in the face. I have already consulted with two other body shops on Arthur Kill Road, and they have treated me with more respect and have given me much better prices than A to Z Autobody. What's more? Inform your family members that going to this place puts you at risk for being ignored and disrespected, and not communicated with. Having a car issue is frustrating as it is - but taking your car to an establishment that truly doesn't care or respect you (unless your car is bringing them a great return in profit) will make your ordeal worse. read more

Amazing service! My brand new car got hit after 2 months of having it and I was worried it wouldn't be new again. There was a ton of damage. Jr assured me it would look as good as new. They even went as far as to take my seats out and wrapped them to make sure nothing got ruined and to keep the new car scent! They tried their best to get my car back as soon as possible. My car came back brand new! Looks like nothing ever happened and still have the new car scent! Not to mention the shop is very clean and up to date. You will not be disappointed this is an A++ place!
