My car (2018 bmw 440i) was in a collision and my insurance company chose sea breeze auto to fix the damage. Don't get me wrong, the outside looked BEAUTIFUL. The color was matched immaculately, however when I put down my window it felt tight and went down slowly. I called them about it and they told me come back so they can check it out. They attempted to fix it and when I got my car back it smelled like nail polish remover. I drove off and realized the problem wasn't fixed. I went back again and the worker said that my car is older and that it seems like my motor for the window went bad and that they are not responsible. I brought my car in with no issues besides body work and got it returned with a damaged motor that they continued to blame on my "old car". All they care about is the insurance money. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I went in with just needing a minor, cosmetic repair and left with THREE different problems my car never had after they attempted to "repair" part of my grill. I literally had to bring my car back almost FOUR times for the same issues after they replaced my grill (sensor and check engine light issues). I was assured that they had corrected both issues, only to get my car back and still have the same issues. This went on for two, almost three weeks now. They didn't even bother to "spray paint" the new grill piece the same color I once had it too, as promised. Now, because of their negligence, I have to go to another, more trusted auto shop and pay TWICE as much as I did with this shop to fix their "repairs," including engine and sensor damage to my car. They refuse to even pay full or even partial of the extra costs I have incurred due to their avoidable mistakes! Completely reckless and not to be trusted, especially if paying in cash. Go through your insurance before you even think about bringing your car here for some form of protection and peace of mind. The lady was very helpful and kept me informed on what was going on. It took longer to receive the parts than either of us would've liked but nonetheless it was good. Let me set the premise with the fact that it's my mother's ride and she had her passenger side mirror stolen (presumably, since no signs of collision). The mechanic (Fidel) didn't seem like he was very familiar with designs of newer models of automobiles. It's a 2018 Honda CR-V EX-L, my mother bought it 3 months ago, given that it'll be paid off within 3 years when she retires. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Fidel is a nice guy but my mother wasn't exactly jumping for joy with the dings and dents left behind on her brand new car. Also, the blind spot detection on the glass of the side view mirror doesn't light up either when cars pass by on the right. With that said, Danny (Dan Jr.) provided great customer service. Everything was prompt as promised. I showed up on the day and time scheduled and the part was ready, replaced in half an hour. Dom was also helpful when Danny wasn't around. The atmosphere reminded me of my childhood growing up in Bath Beach. Old Italian family businesses like this are as rare as hen's teeth. The neighborhood Italian bakery, barbershop, cobbler, mom&pop's pizzeria, etc, all family-run. Everyone knew everyone. You had everything you needed within a 5 block radius. Sea Breeze used to be in Coney Island when i was a kid but this new location is much smoother of a drive to. read more

My car was in an accident and damaged on the left side. My car was hit so hard that the hood had shifted everything to the right side making it so that I could not open the right passenger side door. First they tried to tell me that the broken windshield was from a different accident, then that the door was a different accident. I accepted fault for the door because I was the one who after the accident opened it and really pulled hard to get it open. But they told the insurance company that I was in an accident and the fender on the right was for something else as well. NOT TRUE. I pay for all of this work to be done, my deductible is $1k so I paid $2200. I get the car back and my right mirror which worked fine when I dropped it off didn't work any longer. I made them aware of it and there response was they would replace it but only if I pay for the part!!!! This is the worst place period, DO NOT BEING YOUR CAR HERE, YOU ARE JUST ASKING FOR PROBLEMS IF YOU DO. They are only looking to help save the insurance company money, not you. Absolutely terrible and unprofessional. I've had my car here serviced once before and at that time, I really had a smooth and easy time dealing with everyone here. However, the second time I've had my car repaired here, it was an absolute disaster. Scroll down to a fellow individual's review of their experience - it was quite similar to mine. They kept delaying me and telling me another week, and another week ( all the while I had to keep calling, they never kept me in the loop.) Two months go by with delay after delay - and when I went to first get my car, I found new bubbles and lining in the car that wasn't there before. Second time I get my car, I found an entirely new dent in it that the individuals here were trying to say to me " what do you expect me to do?" and finally third time I get my car, I'm able to drive it out of the lot. Only to find out a month later that this place completely did NOT repair my car and essentially fraudulently did a lack of repair (while taking money) that required it to be repaired somewhere else within 2 weeks. read more

We brought our car here to be fixed. We paid in full, but they did not have one of the needed parts available for our car. They told us they would order the part and then install it, but they never did. We followed up with them multiple times over the course of 8 months (eight!!), but they never ordered the part despite telling us that they did. We asked for a phone number so we could order the part ourselves. They gave us the wrong phone number twice, and after we went in person to get the right phone number, they stated that their inability to get the part was not their problem and then made a derogatory political statement out of the blue. Afterwards, multiple men came out, likely as a method of intimidation. We were return customers, but we will not return here anymore. They were rude, unprofessional, and dishonest. Your promised week and week that the vehicle will be ready and it turns out it's not. The older lady in the office is quite nasty and rushes you off the phone without giving you a clear answer. Our Subaru needed extensive body work after an accident and the Subaru dealer subcontracted the work to Sea Breeze. They wound up holding onto the car for 3 weeks because it took time for Subaru to process the claim and for Sea Breeze to get all the parts. It wasn't an unreasonable wait but while the car wasn't being worked on it was in either Sea Breeze's or Subaru's secure lots. When we got the car back our glove compartment had been rifled through and a number of items were missing including RayBan sunglasses, prescription eyeglasses, a flashlight and the paperwork for the car. Plus a backpack we left in the back of the car with an old Atari system and game cartridges was gone. Either their lots are not that secure or one of their employees is light fingered. We called both Sea Breeze or Subaru annd neither was especially alarmed by this and neither made any real effort to look into it or make amends. They did very good work. But if we ever go back to them we will take everything of absolutely any value out of the car before we do so. read more

Well well just went to pick up my 02 Honda Civic today and what a disappointment with the body work and the way the car was presented to me . My driver spider rear quarter panel and bumper needed repair . The paint work looks horrible it's looks like a sea with waves all over the panel . The car was given back to me dirty nasty and horrible . They could not even wash the car properly . My decals was not added back on . When complained it's seems like I have to accept such a horrible job . The insurance adviser was present at the body shop and he even saw the horrible job given to me . The car had been in the shop for over 2 weeks . On a couple of occasion when I showed up there I saw the garbage they were doing . I made sure a molding and rocket panel was removed , it seemed like their intentions was to work and paint around it . Anyway the insurance adjusted kept the car so the body shop supervisor will look at the horrible job presented . The preparation of the body was horrible that is why when the car got painted it showed waves like a sea side Let's see if they will correct the issue , which they will have to sand and block and and repaint . So the owner don Dom is a hostile arrogant person . I had to call the police this morning After he assaulted me in the Geico office . A Geico rep Stephanie saw the assault and lied ( she has to work there ) Any way the car was given back to me unfinished Furthermore the sabotage something under the hood cause now my car has s mechanical problem . This place should be shut down next going to sue them and make a complain to the BBB . read more

I'm so happy I went here. I am a huge skeptic when it comes to anything car related. I simply don't trust mechanics or auto body shops. There's so much room for getting ripped off and you always hear horror stories. But Sea Breeze was super close to home and had a couple of good reviews so I gave it a try. I went there because my bumper got ripped off of the car (the outer cover). I had the dealer do a quote for putting it back on and repairing some other scratches. They quoted me $3500. They mentioned I could get a ticket for not having the bumper, but they were sure to avoid telling me the price of the bumper alone. Oh yeah, it would also take 3 days. When I went to Sea Breeze, I talked to Dominic. He came right out and looked at the car. He checked the bumper cover that I had in the car and said he could get it back on pretty easily. He said his guy was leaving soon but he asked him to stay to take care of this first. He also let me know it would be less than $50. That was a lot less than I expected. I hesitate in writing this review as it will probably mean the next time I use them, they will be too busy to help me!!! All kidding aside, Dom and Dan have always done the right thing by me. Last experience my Mercedes had a pushed in grill , and they estimated about a $300-400 repair bill based on parts once they took things apart. I understood that and agreed to the job. When they opened up everything they were a able to make a perfect repair using my parts alone and the grill looked original out of the showroom!!! 15 minute job and get this: No Charge!!! Ok this was not my first time with them and I always go to them for my body work, but still, a quick repair and what a savings! If I could give no Stars I would. Sea Breeze auto body is horrible, if they were honest and told me they didn't know how to take my car apart I would've been happy and went somewhere else. When i went to pick up the car after a minor body repair there was a scratch on the repaired section, when I told the A**hole that gave me the keys about it he said 'I don't see nothing'. I showed him the bumper not being on right, the wheel flare gouged from using pliers or whatever they forced it off with and he still said he didn't see nothing. There was pink stuff all over the front bumper which looked like they wiped off, it just left it looking faded. I was going to replace the flare anyway and I didn't want these people touching my car anymore. After a few months the stain from the pink stuff left the bumper still looked faded and a panel below the entry sill was falling off. I was so pissed that i took it back and had the owner look at it, he said the panel got that way from someone stepping on it and that he doesn't see why they would remove that panel anyway (a panel that covered the fender flare) but they would fix it. These people are dishonest and incompetent and I am seriously concerned about them touching my car again. Their work is sloppy they dirty my car inside and out, they damaged and scratched my car by forcing parts off. If you have an old model car they might know how to fix it. Recently had my car repaired by this shop and really can't say enough good things. My one month old car was randomly keyed across both doors on the driver's side while parked. Sea Breeze not only made it look like new but had it ready for me by the end of the week. I believe this is a family owned shop and everyone I dealt with throughout the process was very helpful and professional. Also, they give you a small jar of paint for small touch ups, which is very nice. THEY LOST OUR CAR. An employee left it outside with the keys in it! On top of that Dominic was a bit of a jerk - I had to convince him to stay and wait for the police to come, to file the police report. He wanted to go home at 6 - normal quitting time - to "eat dinner with his family". And then for the next few days he continued acting like a jerk toward us when they had f'ed up so badly!
