I had read numerous complaints about other companies and big box stores making the homeowner pay to rent a POD to store their furniture in while their floors were being installed, and some even went to a hotel during the installation. No way were we going to do that! My 1700 s/f home took 2-1/2 days to be completed including having brand new baseboards installed. A to Z's team of highly qualified installers took photos of where my furniture was before moving it across the room and installing my beautiful LVP flooring, then placing the furniture back to where it went. Sam, the owner, is wonderful to work with and he is very honest and has a good eye for detail and he was very helpful. I brought home several samples from his store and when we had made our decision, Sam came over and measured and took the samples back. Sam knew what we had chosen was perfect for our home and I appreciated that input! We then scheduled the installation and everything went very smoothly. My husband and I were never once inconvenienced or overwhelmed. Sam had asked us before installation only to remove any items on top of the furniture and easy to remove items on the closet floors. My wife and I have been putting off doing our flooring for several years because of all the horror stories we have heard from our friends in Las Vegas. Mainly, it had to do with incomplete jobs, unprofessional behavior by stores selling flooring and installation, and lawsuits resulting from bad jobs or incomplete jobs by different companies in the Vegas Valley. What a nightmare. We did our research for over 2 years and visited A to Z Direct Flooring several times before we decided to do business with Sam, the owner. Mind you, I had spoken and gotten bids from several other companies. I even read all the positive and negative reviews on Yelp before hiring this company. What I noticed is all the negative reviews were about petty complaints BUT no one had gotten any actual work done by A to Z!! The 5-star reviews all raved about how happy they were with the completed job by A to Z. So we took the leap of faith, and hired A to Z, and dealt with Sam directly. I love the fact that Sam is a straight shooter, honest, and a man of integrity. Our job was pretty big, approximately 2500 sq. ft, and included two full floors, and 4 levels of wide staircases. I am very happy to say that I give A to Z, and Sam (owner) 10 stars for the quality of work, professionalism, integrity, and for going out of their way to do quality work. Are they the cheapest? No. But I rather pay $2k more than the cheapest quote and have no headache, than nickel and dime others. That is exactly what happened. We had ZERO Headache and one of the best experiences ever!! Sam came to my house 4 times during the entire process. We had a problem in the beginning when the sample we picked out, the color of that and the stair nosing, didn't match perfectly. Sam's lead contractor, Adrian, pointed that out to me, instead of just installing what we had picked out. It was our mistake, and We wouldn't even have known until the work was finished unless he did that!! At that point, we called Sam, and he immediately came over, we discussed changing the flooring, went back to his store, and picked out a different flooring, which was more expensive and thicker than what we had originally picked out, but Sam did not upcharge us for upgrading the flooring. Most other stores would have charged us extra at that point since we already had the original flooring pulled off the floor. The same day, Sam went to his warehouse, brought back the flooring samples and stair-nosing sample of our new flooring choice, to our house, and made sure we were happy with the new flooring/color match. Then they started the work 3 days later than originally scheduled. I thought they were going to take 8-10 days, but they finished the job within 6 days. I was shocked!! They cleaned up every day and were super respectful and professional throughout the process. Adrian and Gabriel are simply amazing. Then after a couple of weeks, my picky wife found a bunch of little things that needed to be fixed or changed to her satisfaction. I called Sam, and he immediately sent those guys back and within half a day they fixed everything to her satisfaction. Sam kept saying to me from day one, "Your satisfaction is my number one goal" and he is a man of his word. I don't give recommendations easily, but I recommend A to Z direct flooring to everyone. We will be back to do our carpets in the bedrooms soon. Originally we were going to go through Lowe's but Lowe's didn't have as many selections as A to Z. Also, A to Z gave us a better estimate and no additional "hidden fees" that would break the bank. I love working with A to Z flooring. Two years ago we had our bottom floors done with them... from the very first interaction with Sam, he was extremely prompt to respond and come out to do a quote. He never made us feel pressured to do everything at once, as we wanted to stay on budget and needed to do our three floors in phases. Susan at the office is very patient and helps you go through samples and talks about the undertones in the samples and the differences between the products. They allow you take home many large sample pieces to see how the floors look in the light of your home. And I cannot sing high enough praises for Mateo and Ray, the brothers who do the floor installation. When we called Sam this last month to finish our second floor I said "please tell me you can get the same two men to do the installation!" He said, "no problem... everyone loves them and requests them!!" They are true gentlemen. I feel safe with them doing work in my home. They work very very diligently and do an excellent job. We were looking for some vinyl or laminate to put on a wall in a nursery. We walked in and we were briefly greeted but the entire time we were looking the woman working there did not get up from her chair to see if she could help us find what we needed or answer any questions. Finally we asked her about prices and compared to other places we had previously been to the prices were much higher. We were very displeased with the customer service and their samples that were falling apart. It was only after one of the planks fell on my arm that the lady working finally got up from her desk. I recently purchased a home and wanted to have all the floors completed prior to moving in. I called multiple companies to obtain a quote and most could not begin work for 6 to 9 weeks. Sam and his crew are top notch! I was so surprised at how smoothly our install went. The only hiccup we had was due to the supply chain issue, not A to Z. We have had floors installed before and had nothing but issues. From start to finish, Sam made this SO easy. I was able to take my time with the samples. I went to the store the first time on July 2nd, at 5 pm, it was closed, even though the hours on the website and the door said open till 6 pm. Oh well, maybe holiday week so they closed early, who knows, I'll try again later in the week. So today, July 5th, I go into store about 1 pm. There's a guy at the desk with who I'm assuming is a customer. So I start looking around, although I know the two hardwoods I want to see, planned on making a decision, and getting the process started today. The guy at the desk finally addressees me, tells me to write down what I want on a piece of paper and my name and number, I comply. Now I hear his conversation with what I thought was a customer. It's about physical therapy and "do you drink enough water" and trying to advise this "customer" on his physical well being. I don't get it, but ok, he'll help me in a minute. Nope. Not another word from the guy at the desk. Continued his "doctor appointment." I walked out. I never knew it would be so difficult to spend my money. Will find a company that wants the business and doesn't offer doctor's visits. If you're looking for customer service, I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Post-install update: Wow. I can't say enough wonderful things about A to Z. Garry is a great guy to work with. His team of installers are just as amazing. They're punctual, courteous and have the right eye for this. The warehouse gave them the wrong T-moulding strip for one of the rooms. Leo caught it and refused to install it. Instead, he made sure the warehouse gave him the RIGHT one before proceeding and calling the job done. I can't imagine any other installer would have noticed or cared enough to make that decision. You can tell Garry and Leo take a lot of pride in their work. It absolutely shows in the finished product. You seriously can't go wrong with A to Z Direct Flooring. The prices are on point, the selection is limitless (Garry will get you anything you like that you see anywhere else at a better price), the installers are amazing and will do a final walkthrough with you to address any concerns (we had NONE, and I'm nearly impossible to please) before arranging final payment. I will, without a doubt, return to A to Z Direct Flooring when I'm ready to do the rest of the flooring in the house. In fact, this work is SO good, it might take priority over my other renovation plans -- because the final result is just that exciting and perfect. I was super amazed of A-Z flooring professionalism and the work they did for me. Sam did the inspection of the project needed to be don. I did a Vinyl flooring of large loft upstairs with 17 stairs and two room on the ground floor. We just had our downstairs floors redone this week and our floors look fantastic! Gary was great to work with - knowledgable, easy going and no pressure. Did a very nice job! Sam came out and gave us a fair estimate. We then discussed the changes and reached an agreement. So when the installers arrived, they did understand or did not know that I had purchased the floor molding and quarter round. Also they did not know they wetr installing a new toilet in the one toilet. They said they could not do the plumbing. When they were finished they had installed the new toilet and had done the plumbing. The lady at the desk is no help in describing the differences in name brands. She just sits at the desk. For these reason I can give them only 4 stars. But in the end, it looks much nicer read more

I ended up going with Sam from A to Z, and am SO GLAD I did! I would not, could not, will not recommend this place. First, the store is kind of dirty and cramped for space. You are selling home improvement services and the least you can do is take some pride in your work space. I don't remember what the flooring in the shop looked like and that is kind of sad since they "specialize" in carpet. The main reason I can't or won't tell you to go here is the service. First, I paid them $20 cash to come measure my house. That $20 went straight into Steve's (the owner) wallet. (I should have known then). He did write a receipt... On a white piece of paper that he pulled out of the printer... Oh no! Then the night before he was to come and measure he called and asked "what am I measuring for again?" Really? So the day he measured he calls me at 10:15 and says he's running late because he stopped for breakfast... He was supposed to be there at 10. When he gets to the house he smokes a cigarette in his car then walks to the door and tells my wife... Sorry, traffic was really bad. He's here so I want to get my $20's worth... And hey, maybe the deal really is worth it! When he sees my wife's bird and proceeds to tell me how he used to smuggle birds when he was like 16... Again, why? Then he asks how long they live and tells my wife "I'll bet you will be glad when he's gone" seriously, I think my wife will be devastated when her pet of 40 years passes away. When WE actually get to the measuring part I have to hold the tape measure and remember all of the numbers for him... What did I pay you for again? During the measuring he keeps telling me I'm gonna save a lot of money because he's gonna use the waste carpet to do the closet, the stairs, etc... I'm not spending a few thousand dollars on "waste" carpet. Way to market your product buddy! When he finally leaves he tells us to come in on Saturday to sign the contract and he'll give us a quote. Since we both work and aren't able to stop in over the weekend. I get a call on Monday by his assistant and I ask what the quote is. Am I ever surprised when he is $1400 more expensive than the 2 other places that we had come out and give us a quote. I let the assistant know that the price isn't competitive, thank him for his time and let him know that we are going to go with one of the other places. Tuesday Steve calls. Tells me that he can save me a lot of money, but I have to give him a written copy of the quotes I received. Fair enough, but at this point he starts lecturing me on how I'm throwing away my money if I go with someone else. He's giving me $1400 in free padding... Even though his quote is $1400 more than anyone else... So I guess I'm paying for the padding in other ways. He then tells me that I didn't give him a fair chance to beat the other offers, even though I gave everyone 1 shot at my business. He didn't seem to understand that if you want to earn my business you need to put your best foot forward and give me your best price the first time. I Don't play the car game... Of course I also stopped to ask myself "what if that was his best foot forward?". He ended the call with "when you need new tile call me and I will get you a deal". Yeah, maybe in 25 years when my wife's bird passes away! Bottom line, call A to Z at your own risk. The website says "reputation is everything"... I think this review serves as a good reference on said reputation. I don't see how this place stays in business. read more

My man Sam is the absolute best! Had A to Z Direct Flooring install new carpet in my living room and wood laminate in my master bedroom. They did the job in less than 4 hours and gave us a price that was nearly half what the competition was quoting. The best part is that there are no hidden fees (base boards, padding, etc.). Sam gives you one price and that's it. You know what you're going into with him, nothing will catch you off guard. His pricing is better than the competition as well. We had someone come out from a different company and the $1100 job that Sam did was nearly double with the competitor. The quality of their work is exceptional as well.
