When I wrote the 1 star review for Vegas Flooring Direct, I did not expect anything to come out of it. Shortly after I posted it, the owner of the company contacted me directly, sincerely requesting more information about all the troubles I had. He took the time to listen to the issues, acknowledged that there were places his company could have improved, and truly wanted to make the situation right. We discussed the issues and came to a mutual agreeable solution that we both felt was very fair. While the work completed three years ago did not live up my (or his) expectations, the right thing was done to help correct the problem. Finally being able to write this well deserved review for Michael and his team! We moved into this home in Summerlin last year and we knew that we definitely had to do some remodels (I'm being modest - we had to do A LOT of remodeling) before we moved in. The kitchen was dated and not to our liking. There was no actual exhaust for the air to exit when you're actually cooking - it was just a recirculating system built into the microwave. We went to a few local companies throughout the city to get quotes and ideas of what we were looking for and it just got overwhelming with all the choices and same, dull customer service that we were given. I feel like a common issue we kept facing was a constant typical sales pitch with people that didn't make you feel like you could trust them and let's be real - we needed to trust whoever was coming into our home. Vegas Flooring Direct was definitely on our list to check out and we are SO glad that we did!! Fast forward... obviously, we chose to go with Michael and Vegas Flooring Direct (not to be confused with vegas flooring outlet)!! They were able to meet all of our needs with reasonable costs & great customer service. We really felt that they were here to make our vision come true. From the start, Michael & his team were so helpful and patient. In the end, the whole kitchen turned out amazing! Brand new white shaker style cabinetry (kitchen and bathroom), quartz countertops with a WATERFALL and an exhaust system that actually WORKS! Knowing our current limitations with our dated kitchen, Michael suggested building a soffet so we could actually have an exhaust that blows directly outside. For those that cook - you will understand how clutch it is to have that. We didn't even know it was a possibility! Of course, since we remodeled the kitchen, we had to do the floors, after the floors, we had to do the showers and bathrooms, after the showers, we had to paint! The list kept going and going! I can't say enough how patient Michael and his staff was with us. I can definitely be Type A sometimes and have overly high expectations (sorry not sorry) and we must've went from this product to that product, that to this, a dozen times! We finally went with some gorgeous 6x36" wood looking tile from Mohawk and it was a beautiful choice. The bathrooms turned out amazing as well! If you have pets, especially if they shed, you can barely tell if theres any hair on the ground and SO easy to clean. If you guys choose to go with wood looking tiles, make sure you use leveling spacers! They are a life saver!! There's no lips or ruff edges anywhere, trust me - I looked EVERYWHERE. This is also credit to the skillful crew that worked on our home. Jimmy and his crew cleaned up after themselves each day, were extremely pleasant to work with, extremely nice, respectful of our space, and most importantly trustworthy. Quality & trust were two of the main important factors in assessing who we would pick to have in our home! We also greatly appreciated that Michael stopped by the home almost daily to manage the project and the progress. It's obvious why Michael and his company have 5 stars and are so easy to work with, because they actually CARE! It's shows through their customer service AND craftsmanship. I'm so impressed with Vegas flooring direct! And a huge thank you to my yelp community for the reviews so I could find them. I needed to replace the carpet in a rental property that I own, and it was just time to finally upgrade to wood/ laminate. I went to Home Depot first and was honestly planning on using their product and installers. I settled on getting the new vinyl laminate flooring so it could go all over, including the bathrooms. Home depot was not only more expensive in price for material and labor, but it was kindof a pain to set up quotes etc. I contacted VFD through yelp and Doug replied immediately with a very general quote (which I found hard to get from a lot of companies without them coming out to measure). I then went into the showroom and picked out my material, which was amazing because they have soooo many to choose from. Doug answered all of my questions and made excellent recommendations. He let me take the large samples to the property to pick one. And then he came by the next day to measure. Super quick and efficient. My estimate was done within a day and the price was great! It only took a week to get the materials in, and they worked around my schedule to start installation. It was done perfectly and in a very short amount of time. If I could give Mike and his team at Vegas Flooring Direct 100 stars I would. Flashback to a year and a half ago, my husband and I bought a home that had to be completely gutted and renovated. It was a complete dump. After having a lot of renovation experience in the past with previous homes, we learned the hard way many times in dealing with really incompetent and unprofessional contractors. We knew this renovation was a big job and that we needed a level of expertise that only someone like Mike could provide for us. We had to rip out about 5500 sq feet of old dated flooring, put in all new tile, carpet and engineered hardwood. We also gutted the entire kitchen and all the dated vanities in the 3 guest bathrooms and put in all new cabinets, countertops, hardware, backsplash, lighting, you name it. Whenever I had a vision in mind, Mike was able to do his research and present to me the viable options. I wanted a custom MDF island in the middle of my kitchen and he was able to brainstorm different ideas that helped in designing our own. He also personally drove all over Las Vegas to find the exact modern deco tile for our bathrooms and the specific geometric marble backsplash for our kitchen. When renovating such a big home, I found myself always second guessing my decisions and going back and forth with many different details of the job, but Mike was always upfront about every single option available to us and assured us that if we were unhappy with something he would make things right. I can't tell you how many times I changed my mind about something and Mike never showed a hint of irritability with my indecisiveness. I can't put a price on the level of trust and comfort we had in dealing with Mike throughout the entire 1 month long renovation. Aside from the obvious end result of a beautiful fully renovated home, the best part about our experience with Mike is the sincere friendship we have found in him and his wife. We receive endless compliments about our home and were even featured on HGTV recently to showcase all of Mike's hard work. AMAZING!!!!!!! We chose VFD to replace 1600 sq. ft of carpet and tile with vinyl plank flooring in our newly constructed home. We received quotes from 3 highly rated companies and VFD was in the middle price wise, however their knowledge, customer service, and friendliness was why we ended up choosing them, and we are so glad we did. Laura came out and did the measuring and provided us with an accurate and detailed quote that never increased, even when additional work was needed to repair our uneven sub-floor. The entire project took 7 days to complete including 3 staircases requiring very technical and time consuming work. Martin and his crew started on-time everyday and put in a solid 8 hours or more all 7 days. They were very professional, attention to detail oriented, and knew what they were doing. There were only a few minor scratches and dings to the walls, cabinets, etc. however this was expected and they were all repaired as if nothing ever happened. Laura was the first person we met and ended up being our point of contact for everything. She did an amazing job from the initial measure through to the final walkthrough, she was always accessible to answer any questions or concerns that we had. This company was referred to me by a good friend. Michael arrived at my home on time to take measurements. He took great care in considering every aspect of the job. From the baseboards, hardy backer, and even the size of my washing machine tray. He called back and scheduled when he said he would. He had his guys tile 3 rooms. They were in and out in 2 days! The guys are very nice, and speak English which was very helpful because I am so particular with what I want. I was very comfortable to trust them to do the work I specified even while I was not home (I'm super OCD and paranoid). Everything went so smooth and effortlessly. The washer and dryer, toilets, baseboards... Everything was placed back perfectly. They picked up everything that the other companies left undone. The floors look pristine! Love the work done by this company! Doug was our guy throughout the entire process which made for great continuity. He helped educate us on carpet, padding, and long care maintenance so we could make the best decision for our home and our budget. At his recommendation we took samples home to check how they'd look in diff lighting and areas. Price wise they came in 10% under Lowe's (even with Lowe's specials) for comparable carpet and padding. Bonus, we paid in cash so we were able to get a discount Lowe's doesn't even offer too and part of the money for padding is donated to St. Jude! Installation started around 9am and was done by 3pm.
