I paid JR in full after he tiled my outdoor fireplace. I trusted him when he said he guaranteed his work. When I got back to Vegas to see the finished job, it was sloppy. There was glue and mortar on my new deck that would not come off, the stucco on the rear of the fireplace was unfinished and unpainted, and the ceiling needed to be repainted due to mortar all over the corners. He promised to come fix it but now is ghosting me. It's so terrible when people lie to you. I guess I will rely on Karma. It has cost me over $500 to repair his sloppy work. So I am writing this review a full 2 months after my project(s) completion for two reasons; one, I have just been busy, and the other I like to wait a bit before doing a review to let things settle and see if any "issues" come up later. First of all, I have nothing but praise for JR, and his company JR Tile. There is no "issues" that came up later after all the dust settled. I was in the process of getting bids for a kitchen remodel with flooring. JR was recommended by my brother who got some work done in the past. JR is a tile guy but he has recommendations for cabinetry, plumbing and countertops. So I got all of my work done on my remodel from "his guys" (except electrical which I used Penny). In the beginning JR came in, measured floor areas and gave a quote for labor which included install and demo. His Cabinet guy comes in and measures the cabinets and a price is set for materials and labor. In my kitchen there was a little change up, instead of replacing old for new, which takes some additional planning. We tiled the entire bottom floor of our house including kitchen approx. 1300 sqf. The process was I pick out tile, pay for it (from floor décor), and he picks it up, delivers, and has his staff work on install. It's done in sections, and it took about 5 days to complete. JR may not be there every minute of install but he comes and checks out everyday progress making sure everything is perfect. After flooring was complete, his cabinet guy came in and installed the cabinets. Now as I said before there was some changes in layout; moving built in fridge to new location, extending island, extending end of floor cabinet to fit in a built in beverage cooler. So, if you are doing some changes in the existing plan you really need to do some research on measurements, additional outlets, ect. Because basically I am the designer here, and JR tile are doing what I want them to do. In addition to the kitchen I ended up remodeling my downstairs bathroom as well. Originally I was not going to, but when the new flooring was getting installed and a new cabinet was going in too, it just made sense to get it all done at once. The end results are awesome! Everything turned out great! JR was easy to work with, on time appointments, always answered my calls and texts about any questions or things that I feel needed to be addressed. Our entire project too about 30 days but we were getting a lot of work done, and in addition RC Willey had a few of our new appliances on back order. It would have been ideal to have all the new appliances on hand when cabinets were getting installed but due to Covid, everything took a bit longer to get in. Now I will say JR has a "unique/interesting" look to him, but let me say he is a True Professional and wants to do the job right, not half ass, or sloppy. For example, after flooring was complete we noticed a slight rise in one of the tiles, not sure how it happened, but he had it cut out, and replaced perfectly. We will be remodeling our upstairs bathroom next and will defiantly be using JR. read more

I sent yelp messages for tile work to all the 5 star yelp merchants. They all replied and scheduled to come out for quotes. After meeting 2 contractors I thought I knew who I would go with, but Joe showed up as the 3rd estimator and came back with the best estimate. Overall, my experience with JR tile was good. He charged me only for what was agreed upon. The work was on 2 bathrooms and would take about 8-10 days. He was able to complete the work in 7 days. I like that he under promised and over delivered. I emailed 6 businesses on Yelp for information on a laminate job in a bedroom. I had bought the laminate at Costco which made it harder to find an installer I found out because obviously they prefer to sell you the product. Joe responded within minutes and quoted me a price which was very fair. He came the following am with his men. They did a great job, asked my opinions as they went, cleaned up and finished in about 3-4 hours. No surprises, no B.S., no problems. I used Jr Tile to tile my downstairs and redo our master bathroom and shower exactly one year ago. Joe ensured me a one year guarantee for any work completed. One month ago, water started dripping into the office below the master bathroom shower. His guy did not waterproof the floor before installing and Joe was nowhere to be found to make sure he was doing it right. The grout lines cracked and water leaked through. We had to rip up everything and start over in that bathroom. I would have been ok with Joe trying to remedy the situation but when I reached out and sent him pictures, after promising he would come by and look at it, he ghosted me. He charged more than some other quotes we got because he said he did a great job and shame on me for believing him. He left me high and dry and with more than six thousand dollars to pay for his mistakes. I have paid thousands to a remediation company and thousands more were paid on behalf of my insurance company. Words can't describe how much inconvenience, disappointment and frustration hiring the wrong company has cost my family. Joe could care less. Stay away from this tile company at all costs. (In response to comment below) That's one idea Ruth, here's another...it was a water-proofing problem from your tile work. You failed to contain the water by not using the right product and/or equipment (and certainly charging me for such) and allowed the leak in the basin of the shower to seep through the plywood floor, into the ceiling which ended up in the room below. You take no responsibility and do nothing to fix the situation other than blame the customer. I did what any sane person would do when faced with water dripping on my head, I called a plumber. You are basically saying to everybody stay away from us. Noted! read more

It's me again with another review. After having the floors turn out great, I gave Joe a call again to see if he could help me out with painting the whole interior of my house. Joe came over the same day and gave me a fair quote. Joe explained to me that the painting was going to be done by his daughters who would do the majority of the work and he would come after to inspect and fix anything that wasn't to his standards. Literally next day, the project was on. Tanya and Tiffany, Joe's daughters, showed up everyday ~8AM, I provided the tools and paint and left them to do their thing. During the course of the week, Joe would stop by to inspect and offer his girls direction and tips. After about 8 days of painting (brush and rollers), I'm very satisfied with their work.
