The location is extremely clean, lots of cameras all over the property for security, and they provided us with locks to make our move easier. I highly recommend this storage location!

Tempe Choice Self Storage gets four stars from me, and honestly, they've earned every one. The only…read morereason it's not five is because it's all outdoor with no temperature control. Totally understandable, but still kind of wild for Arizona! Luckily, it's fall, so my stuff's living its best, comfortably crisp life, not melting into abstract art. Here's the good stuff, I scored a stellar savings because they were running a current rate the day I went in. Always check both online and in-person, the office staff might have a special going that isn't listed. It's not permanent, but it's a sweet little temporary perk. My experience started with a phone call, shout-out to Colton (or Caleb? either way, Customer Service MVP), who explained everything like I was booking a penthouse instead of a storage unit. When I showed up a few days early, there was a tiny hiccup (we'll blame Mercury), but by the end, I was a part of the Tempe Choice family. Access hours are great (6 a.m.-10 p.m.), it's secure, clean, and easy to pull up, unload, and move on with your day. So yeah... I'm happy, my stuff's happy, and if they ever add climate control, this'll be an easy five stars. Bonus points for saving me a few bucks in the process.

First, they lured me in with an introductory rate, but made no mention that it was an introductory rate. My rent has increased 42% in 16 months. The possibility of rent increases are in the contract, but that kind of hike needs to be made abundantly clear from the start ("this is an introductory price ..." . I was extremely surprised at all of the increases I've had in just over one year's time. But, they got me. Access to storage is not much longer than normal business hours, which can be problematic. What's worse, they require you to provide proof of insurance or they will automatically bill you for monthly insurance. Unfortunately their central office and local office are not always on the same page, so I will receive notices multiple times a year from each for me to send them my insurance policy, even after I've already done it. In 16 months I've had to be on the phone with them somewhere in the 5 to 10 times range with billing or insurance problems, and add to that multiple emails. I send them stuff and they conveniently don't receive it. Last time, the proof I showed wasn't enough and they needed the declarations page from my actual policy and additional insurance info. I've got to contact my insurance company and find out the information that they want. All of this so that they can charge me an extra $12 a month. This sort of thing happens multiple times per year. Absolute madness. But I have so much stuff in storage that I would have to hire a moving truck to get it out and into a new unit with a new company. They have me over a barrel, and they know it. What an absolute mistake I made renting from this company. Huge regrets. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had renting from a storage space, and I have been doing this for well over 15 years. Save your time (so, so much time) and money and stay away from this company.

Was able to find a unit very quickly. Upon arrival, Jenny was super nice and equally helpful with getting me set up and familiar with the storage property. Their moving truck was tremendously helpful in moving my belongings. It was very nice to take a usually expensive extra step out of the moving process. they were so awesome that I was able to get my old roommates to use them within a few days after myself. Because of that I will be able to take advantage of the great referral incentive this location has as well. they made getting my 1st storage unit very easy and stress free so I want to thank both Paul and Jenny for that!

Yes we filed for compensation but the storage unit did absolutely nothing like this was a normal accurance and did nothing but say "oh we fired the dude". then just a couple weeks later, they call saying our storage is up for auction. Like what do you mean!? We just got broken into and now you're gonna put it up for auction? Horrible. We payed the bill ofc and after that everything went more smoothly until yet again then put It up for auction and already had a buyer, and at this point they are just milking us because my mom did not have 300$ to pay for storage after we JUST moved in to our apartment. and most of her money got put down to that. We still found a way because uhm that's our stuff? After that we took everything out of storage and they sent a review thing ask how was the experience. And this is my review to them that our experience was horrible. But the blond worker was super kind so toots to her.
