Such is the case here - over the phone I was told to come by and show them my busted up iPad and was assured that whatever the issue was, they could fix it. Fast forward an hour later, (it literally took me 15 minutes of driving and walking back and forth on the street to find this place as it's basically a rented room at the top of a staircase of a commercial building), I was informed that my iPad is dead and that it should be used as a coaster or paperweight. Look, I understand a car mechanic cannot accurately diagnose a vehicle electronically or telephonically as accurately as they can if they can see the car in person and of course when it comes to an iPad with a cracked screen and water damage that won't power on, it would be ideal for a repair person to physically inspect it before diagnosing the issue so please don't tell me over the phone that you can fix something and then smugly state that it's beyond repair. Also, I appreciate that you want to keep your overhead low but FFS don't do business out of what is basically a bedroom with shit everywhere and a dog sitting around begging to be anywhere but there. This place is super inconvenient to get to with a super unprofessional "store" and super creepy vibes. All said, I disagreed with Sheldon's diagnosis so decided to call A to Z Wireless (which coincidentally enough is right down the street in an easy to see and enter store) and while no promises were made over the phone or in person, the owner fixed my iPad and is now working just as it did before I dropped it in a jacuzzi. So yeah...don't recommend this dude at all but highly recommend A to Z. Enjoy.

After bringing it in, as he investigated, Sheldon explained what could happen inside the phone from water damage, which I appreciate when someone takes the time to teach the customer. He found (luckily) no water damage, and he took the time to further investigate, test out some options, to find potential causes. Cleaned out my charger port, and offered several things to try at home before trying something else. I was told if it still overheated, we could replace the screen (not likely a root cause but the next step if needed) and it was would discounted as I already paid for the other cleaning and gasket replacement. Luckily the issue is fixed and I'm happy he didn't push for the screen replacement if he truly didn't think it was needed!

On multiple occasions he's called me from random #'s asking me to Zelle him some cash because he can't afford to get his phone fixed, so that's why when my phone charging port failed I knew exactly where to go. I've been on Android & Samsung for 13 years never having had an issue other than loss. So when my S24 Ultra USB-C Port got loose I was thinking of just upgrading, but having lost some key features when they released the S25 Ultra I decided to repair. Phone was at 15% and was taking 3 hrs to charge via wireless and I needed my phone for work the next day (4PM thursday). I called ahead and they said $125 without knowing what model/brand. Showed up and James quoted hour and a half which was perfect as they closed at 7 and had the port in stock. They can sure fix the easy stuff, but when I asked about cases and accessories they pretty much only carry Iphone and the latest models from other brands S24 Ultra is a flagship phone. Service was great, but my screen protector was bubbled from when they removed the glass. Not a big deal, but I wish they had my brand/model for a replacement. While i was browsing I heard James interacting with another customer which gave me pause as he didn't seem to have any sympathy for them wanting to save an old phone which had pictures that were priceless to them. Loss of a star for that. Haven't had any issues since and I'll likely return if I ever have need for repair not through my insurance.

Also there were lots of boxes and broken computers just kind of laying around everywhere, but we were desperate and needed a quick fix. It's been a few days since getting the screen replaced and we've noticed that when next to a normal iPhone looking at the exact same images, the colors are a lot different and not as detailed. Also it's been flashing and went black for a few seconds. Really disappointed but not confident we could get a refund, or would even want further repairs from this establishment.

Instead they tried to tell me I need much more expensive repairs. I order the JB weld for $6 and fixed it myself. Now the owner is out $100 and get a bad review for being dishonest. Edit: owner is also a liar trying to defend his dishonesty. I've attached a picture of our conversation in Yelp. Edit 2: oh so you didn't lie about talking to me you just so overwhelmed you couldn't remember all the people that you spoke to which is why you said you didn't speak to me. And you're not dishonest you are incompetent because you had to quote a much more expensive repair instead of doing quick repair. Makes sense considering you are so overwhelmed with business that you would immediately try and push a longer more expensive repair instead of a quick JB weld job. Fast forward to about a month ago where I closed my laptop lid and CRACK - something happens where basically the bezel, back over, and hinge gets damaged to the point where it looks like I ripped it apart when I open my laptop back up. Tried to fix it and somehow made it worse by messing up the screen and man, I've done my fair share of taking computers apart before but I wasn't going to mess with my laptop after this series of unfortunate events. Cue Eric! I reached out to a couple of repair guys for a quote and Eric gave me the best one AND the hope that my laptop could be saved (I had a couple others tell me it wasn't worth the fix; mind you, my computer itself worked fine still - I just had to plug in an external monitor to get anything productive done). He was timely with messages, and even let me know that some parts were missing for repair and ordered it for me. His quote was reasonable in comparison to the cost of a brand new laptop and now that I've had it back for a couple weeks; I can honestly say it feels brand new. Appreciate his quickness and his expertise, would definitely come back for any silliness I encounter with computers down the road. Thanks, Eric!

Hello to anybody taking the time to read this review! Iv recently had my phone repaired at A to Z Wireless, and I cannot be happier with the excellent dedication to customer service. I took my iPhone in because it was having screen/microphone issues and was unresponsive. When I dropped off my phone it was late in the day and I expressed how desperately I needed it to be fixed ASAP. The gentleman who works at the repair store said that he couldn't make any promises but would try to have it done for me. This store closed at 7pm this night, and the generous man stayed working on my phone for an extra 10 minutes just to make sure I was content. HE GOT IT WORKING LIKE NEW AGAIN! in the very short amount of time I actually gave him to work on my phone he focused and actually finished it even though I had given up home for that day. Iv never seen a higher level of customer service and I applaud this business. Thank you. read more

After waking up from my worst nightmare at Verizon in Encinitas, I was referred to these people by Seth at Walmart. A to Z wireless told me they could fix the screen on my smartphone after I was told at Verizon that it was impossible. The girl that worked there even offered to loan me a phone until I got mine fixed. That is just nice! Who does that? Verizon??? Uh...NOOOO. Anyway, I ended up buying an iphone while I wait on the repair. Highly recommended when you're in a cell phone pickle. read more

I won't even bother trying again. The original screen held up great for years. This one not even for the first day.

This place helped me twice and both times they have been awesome…read more I was in an urgency to restart a 2017 IPhone for legal reasons, with a dead battery, broken screen...I wasn't sure the phone was actually still functional (it had been run over by a truck). The repair person (I do not know his name) didn't make me any promises. He simply said that he'll try to see if it starts and go from there. I agreed to pay some $$ for a diagnosis even though it wasn't requested when I dropped the phone. I told the repair man to charge me for a broken screen anyways if the phone was still useable. 2 hours after dropping the phone, I received a text saying that my old phone was ready, it has full access and charges well. I paid $55 for the (super fast) service. Competent, efficient and friendly staff.
