Best pizza place in the Bay Area! I am like a regular. My family and I, always order the Beef Pepperoni pizza. It is BOMB. Always fresh and made to order, they take care and precaution to not use the utensils for the Regular pep pizza on the Beef pep pizzas. (For those with allergies or other reasons why you can't have pork). There have a couple bad instances, where as I have gotten a half & half pizza and one half was really burnt, hard to chew but by that time I had noticed I was already home. When I came back another time, with my Sister we had spoken to the manager about our last order with them and he compensated us with a free soda . It's good to know that when you voice your concerns you are heard and taken care of in such a manner. I remember getting pizza by the slice from them in high school when they were at a different location on Park street. The interior is a bit run down with old tables/chairs with 1 flat screen tv. Definitely more of a take out/delivery spot. Service was decent and it was expected but the pizza was good. A medium 14", 8 slice combination for $20.66. It was much larger and denser than other pies of similar size at other places. It's a NY style pizza with all the fixings with plenty of cheese. You can choose between cornmeal crust and regular. After my first run in with this establishment I decided to give them another chance. Mainly due to their beef pepperoni pizza. Like I said in my previous review, it is great. After searching high and low for something comparable and coming up empty handed I had to circle back to A-Town. So, my sister and I went back- she was there the first time I visited as well. We were greeted by Sayed and asked him a few questions about the size of their pizzas and which he thought would best suit our gathering. Immediately, he recognized us (based on my yelp review and our previous encounter- I'm assuming). Now, this could have been an awkward encounter, but I'm pleased to say that it wasn't. He inquired on what was displeasing about our last service, we had a conversation, he apologized and comped us a free soda, and life went on. Honestly, that encounter alone will make me come back. Him asking what our issue was and looking to resolve it was a great form of customer service. I was also sure to ask him to cut our pizza with a clean roller due to us not wanting any pork residue on our pizza. He informed us that they use a clean roller each time they cut a pizza. This is great because not many places care enough to take that precaution. Well, we ordered... you guessed it, one beef pepperoni pizza and one olive and beef pepperoni pizza. They were cooked to perfection. Neither were burnt or under cooked and the toppings were great. Not too many or too little. All in all, my encounter with this establishment started off VERY rocky. Ordered for delivery 3 times at this place. At no point does the employees that took my orders nor delivery guys ever disclose that their delivery fees (4.00) are already included. This place is probably my favorite slice in the bay area. I've never order a full pizza here, but every time i've gotten a slice its been on point. We used to go to the san ramon location that unfortunately closed down so we decided to try this location and let me tell you the service here was next level. The manager (Rahula I believe) was so warm and welcoming. They treated us amazingly and the slice was exactly like we remembered. If I lived closer I would come in weekly. I used to recommend A-Town Pizza without hesitation, especially the garlic chicken pizza, and I would order that or the lamb kabob at least once a week. But...they have gotten really sloppy about getting the order right, or even getting their own recipes right that were once reliably consistent, which was really sad because I loved the garlic chicken pizza with black olives and artichoke hearts added. The most recent time the crust was soggy and floppy, and on more than one order the quantity of garlic was noticeably scant. When I mentioned it I was told that customers had complained about too much garlic. I didn't and they didn't mention the change to me! The final straw for me was when they forgot part of the order, more than once, and when I called about it and suggested either a credit or a free whatever the next time, they argued with me or acted deeply suspicious. I figured that I would give A Town a second chance after their wings were god awful the last time however I made a grave mistake coming back here again. So I thought that it would be a good idea for a friend of mine and I to come here for lunch on a lovely Monday afternoon. Anyways, we called up the place about at around 4:00pm asking for a medium pepperoni pizza. They told me that there would be a 25-30 minute wait which is normal. After about 30 minutes my friend and I show up to pick up our pizza but the guy at the front desk(some bald guy with some tacky buttoned up shirt and a red apron) tells us that we "actually ordered a cheese pizza" when my friend and I know damn well that we ordered a pepperoni. He then tells us that he'd have to remake it which would take another 15 minutes or so. I reluctantly agree to have him remake the order and continue to pay for the order. After about another 30 minutes of waiting our pizza is just barely being brought out to us. To no surprise the pizza looks like and taste like it was deliberately rushed and was just sitting there forgotten until I asked for our pizza after 30 minutes of dealing with their shit. Overall wasted an hour of my friend and I time for quite possibly the worst pizza I've had in a while. I will not be returning to this establishment and anyone considering ordering from here should AVOID IT AT ALL COST!!! read more

Based on a Facebook group, I decided to try A town pizza. Boy, was I extremely disappointed. The pizza tastes and looks premade and as if it has been frozen and reheated. Nothing was fresh, the dough was chewy, the sauce was flavorless and the veggies were waterlogged. The mozzarella sticks were not crispy or even brown.
