Met the hostess and were seated immediately. Place was small (about 10 tables) and quaint. Waiter approached us within 5 minutes and asked if we wanted drinks. We told him that we drink cabernet sauvignon and asked for his recommendation. He came back with two glasses of Montepulciano wine that was rich, bold and fruity. The waiter gave us ample time to enjoy our wine. When the waiter came back, we ordered a Caesar salad to share. My wife was admiring the pizza on the table next to us and ordered the same. Withing a couple of minutes we received our salad. It was a nice size enough to have a second helping. The romaine lettuce was crispy and fresh with parmesan cheese, crunchy croutons and a creamy Caesar dressing. Lets just say we cleaned our plates. Once we were done our pizza came and it was piping hot. It was a 14' pizza that had mozzarella, basil pepperoni and a nice crispy crust. I am a fan of New York pizza because it's thin and I can fold it in half to enjoy. This pizza did not disappoint nice chewy cheese, salty and oily pepperoni, fresh basil, chewy middle and crispy crush. My wife and I were hungry but could only finish two pieces each and brought the other four slices home. The waiter asked if we wanted dessert and we said we better be good but ordered two more glasses of wine. While we were enjoying our wine table next to us receive their dessert. I looked over and had to make a comment that you must be heaven because the tiramisu looked so good. The lady was so nice and cut a piece of her dessert and gave it to us to try. We tried denying it but she was persistent. Boy she was right creamy, soft spongy lady fingers coco and a sprinkle of expresso. After that we introduced ourselves and made new friends. Great ambiance, food, and service. We'll be back!

Ignored all the caution signs and venture deep into the heart of O' Town...Street parking was tough to come by, so just do as the locals do - get creative and make it happen...LOL... -Vibe inside was chill. Lines were hella deep with hungry peeps trying to get a slice of the pie....Counter seating was very limited, luckily space was available upstairs.... ***PIZZA: definitely the very BEST NY style pizza in the Bay Area.... It was that GOOD. Pizza display - very inviting. So many flavor profile to choose from. "Wish i had the munchies."..... Combination Pie - made to perfection. Thin and crispy- excellent carriage - crust was able to hold topping without the FLOPS, very nice. Sauce and topping complement very nicely w/ fresh mozzarella. Add a generous dash of "Mike's Hot Honey" = the PERFECT BITE.....yummy. -Finale Thoughts: someone better call OPD cause I'm bringing HELLA CASH to Oakland for a DOUGH HANDOFF - getting involved in a SLICE DEAL. Been getting that pepperoni itch and craving me some Momma's Boy Pizza....yep it's that serious....you should definitely give it a try....

Mama's Boy has some of the best pizza I've ever had!…read more You can buy a slice or a whole pie. Every component of the pizza is executed really well. The crust is thin with a nice chewy texture and it's not too bready like at other pizzerias. The sauce-to-cheese ratio is spot-on. My favorite pizza is the burrata and hot honey. The creamy burrata pairs beautifully with the sweet heat of the hot honey, creating a combination that's simple but incredibly flavorful. I've also tried the pepperoni pizza, and you really can't go wrong with it. I especially love that they use the small pepperoni slices that curl up as they bake, creating crispy edges and little cups full of flavor.

We searched for another restaurant and found Alameda Pizza. So happy we did! They had bigger pizza's and more food options. We ordered a XL pepperoni/ mushroom pizza and cheese ravioli added meatballs with pesto. Oh yeah, and a slice of cheese pizza for my toddler. DELICIOUS! Pizza crust was so soft! Toppings were perfect! Meatballs were super tasty! Everything was amazing! I rarely take pics of my food, but wish I took pics this time. We were all starving though. It looked like a masterpiece. We enjoyed everything so much, we ate it all. Most times we have leftovers. Not this time. To top it off, staff were super sweet. We felt welcomed. Great service is hard to get these days. Don't be scared of the old school feel inside. Took me back to my high school days, pizza place across from my school. To me, it was a sign the food was going to be delicious. I was right! Try this hidden gem out! You will not be disappointed!

He was standing by the door watching the parade and reluctantly came behind the register to help us. I asked if they sold pizza by the slice. Instead of being friendly or helpful, he answered in a cold, annoyed tone, explaining the starting price and that extra toppings would cost more. I said that was fine and asked how long it would take. He said 5-10 minutes. Since my son didn't want to wait, I politely told him we'd come back later and i said As we were walking out, I overheard the owner whisper to one of his employees, "He's just wasting my time." I turned around and said, "You're running a business. What do you expect?" He then rudely told me to get out. I've never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant. We came in intending to buy food, but the owner's attitude made it clear he didn't want our business. Customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately, this place completely missed the mark.
