You really need to update your menu board as your prices do NOT reflect what gets rung up. Quality/Quantity - Combo Bowl - Single serving. Just enough for one person. The flavors were okay. The meats were dry, Gyro Wrap - Chicken. Again, just enough for one serving. The chicken was also dry, but the wrap was juicy. It was dripping with juice, probably due to the other ingredients. Baklava - Not bad. We used to come here and Troy's back in the day. I think I will stick with Troy's for now. Atmosphere - Small local business. Indoor and outdoor seating. Really busy when we got here, due to the end of the fair outside. One unisex bathroom. Limited street parking; again, due to the fair. But because we are locals, it is not a problem for us. Service - Counter service. See below. Self service drinks. Price - $33. My daughter questioned and commented that he rang us up for different prices than on their menu board. He ignored her, and quickly threw away the receipt... Because it was less than a $1 difference, I also ignored him. But this is a poor business practice. As we can see from the taped over prices on your menu board, you guys have NO problem changing prices, so it should reflect the same. BTW - Your online prices are also different from your in store prices...? Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2013.

Really love this place. Food is delicious. Fresh. Love the Gyro Philly wrap. My go to. So good. Their Hummus and Pita is also delicious. Great for an afternoon snack or early snack before dinner. For dessert, we got their Baklava. Nom nom. Service is excellent and food is consistently delicious. I highly recommend. Cheers!

We walked by and decided to eat here, the chicken was so dry it tasted like cardboard. Owners were nice. Parking was easy, rice and bread was good but salad dressing wasn't great and the meat was horrible l.:( I was barely able to chew it.

Located on Central Avenue, Q's offers Mediterranean comfort fare using hand-butchered, halal-certified meats. The place is cozy, modern, and welcoming, with a father-and-son chef team. Conveniently located right across from the Alameda Theatre & Cineplex, Q's has become a popular post-movie stop. Lots of moviegoers cross the street to grab a chicken wrap or gyro plate--it's fast, satisfying, and made to order.

"Delicious and Fresh!" Q's Halal Chicken never disappoints. The chicken is perfectly grilled, juicy, and full of flavor. I usually get the gyro wrap or chicken over rice, and it's always fresh and filling. The white sauce is . Super friendly staff and clean spot -- definitely one of my go-tos!

I had the Gyro Philly Wrap and waffle fries. All in all pretty good. The wrap was very greasy and the pitta bread was a little tough which I didn't like but the flavors were good. Waffle fries were crispy and delicious, the portion can be increased.

Affordable price $12 for a chicken gyro. They didn't skimp on the meat. It had lots of chicken cubes well marinated. A bit too sour for my taste but still very good.

I stopped by Q's Halal this afternoon for lunch right at noon and the place was very empty, with only one other party dining indoors. The menu here is limited: basically you can choose a platter, wrap, salad and either chicken and/or lamb. My wife ordered a lamb gyro with a side of waffle fries while I got the gyro platter with double meat. In total, our meal came out to $43 with tax and tip. The lamb meat is tender and neither oily or too dry. I like that the meat is cut up to bite size and crisped up over the grill. The food is reasonably priced but the lackluster service (i.e. you go to the counter to pick up your food and you need to bus your own table, just like at a Costco food court), intimidating glare from the cashier when the iPad's tip screen is presented, and atmosphere -- full of flies both indoors and outside on the patio, prevents me from recommending it without wholeheartedly.

Local Mediterranean restaurant located across from Cinema Grill and the Alameda Theater in downtown alameda. Food: - Gyro Wrap: ordered a chicken gyro wrap with excitement looking at the other photos on Yelp. I wish I wasn't as disappointed, but there was such lack of flavor with the chicken and pita wrap to this dish. The chicken was also on the dry side. You can order a combo with this to get a drink and waffle cut fries. The fries were my favorite part of the dish, but they aren't Mediterranean... - Gyro Platter: ordered the lamb / beef gyro platter, which comes with basmati rice, chutney sauce, yogurt sauce, and pita. This dish had a bit more flavor. Miscellaneous: - Parking available via street, a small parking lot to the left of the restaurant, and across the street in the Cinema Grill parking structure - About 6 tables available (biggest table can seat 4) - They close at 8pm on Fridays, so would recommend coming before 7:30pm

Will you guys ever bring back the chicken burgers?

I wish you guys had halal pepperoni pizza like the other location. I would come here everyday, Richmond is too far and there's no other place in this area that serves halal pizza. Will you guys ever be bringing pizza to your establishment?

I was in the area looking to grab a bite before heading to Southie to catch the Hawks manhandle the Niners. As usual, the restaurant that I always look to forward to visiting is Hummus Republic. Once I found some parking around the corner, I was happily skipping down the block towards the entrance, until... The place was dark, and no one was inside. I had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't one of the scheduled closed days. Sure enough, it was not. There was also no signage on the window or any mention of a vacation or emergency. It was just... closed. As I looked inside, I noticed some furniture and decor had already been removed, so I knew it was beyond the point of no return. In any event, it is indeed a dark time for me, as I frequented Hummus Republic quite often. Yes, I know it is a chain, but the nearest one that I know of now is all the way in Livermore near the outlets. Honestly, it's not completely a shock though, as this particular location was often empty, and I also heard that rent is quite high. There are also alternative Mediterranean shops in the vicinity, such as Tahina and Q's, but none of them combine the level of freshness, convenience and overall value as Hummus Republic. Although it's a lazy comparison used a zillion times before, just think of Hummus Republic as the Chipotle of Mediterranean fare. Depending on who you get serving you, portions can range from large to absolutely gargantuan. It's no exaggeration when I say that a single bowl serving is pretty much enough for both lunch and dinner. Coming from a pig like yours truly, that is saying a lot! Sadly, this exact address also seems to have a high turnover rate, as I have seen a myriad of various businesses sprout up there in recent years. Hopefully the next tenant will provide something to fill the inevitable void. RIP Hummus Republic! You will be sorely missed! The only thing that improved my mood after witnessing this sad news was watching the Hawks absolutely mollywhop the Niners. :‑D
