Instead of trying to upsell me, they listened and found me a quality used battery that fit what I could afford. They installed it and got me back on the road. The thing that really stood out was how they treated me as a person. It was 104°F in Lancaster that day, and they handed me a bottle of ice-cold water without me asking. That simple act of kindness meant a lot in that heat. They also took the time to answer my questions honestly. When I asked about replacing my broken car window, they didn't pretend to do something they don't. Instead, they recommended AAA Auto Salvage as a good place to find a replacement window. When I have the money, I'll be coming back here to buy their new battery with the 2-year warranty. I called over to AV Battery Mart after I was at Auto Zone and they told me they couldn't replace Ford Edge batteries there because they're too complicated. The guys at Battery Mart answered right away and answered all my questions. Based on prices I was seeing at other locations, the quote they gave both cost and time was great! I drove right over and they had it all done and ready in less than 15 minutes. They offered me water and were very kind and down to earth. Went for a battery replacement on a VW Passat. They installed it backwards and fried my whole electrical system. Over $500 of work to get my car back running. Manager was completely rude and went from denying wrongdoing to maybe the corporate office will pay. Edit to update. Battery was installed backwards and then correctly installed. In my vehicle if the battery is connected incorrectly then attempted to be started it will cause severe damage to the main fuses. That's why I was able to drive off but my power steering, a/c, ACC (cruise control, emergency braking, safety signals) all were out. I bought my battery from AV Battery back in December 2020. In the last two months' I have had to jump start my car twice. I took the car to AV Battery to have it checked out. during our discussion, I told them I had recently purchased a new car and was not driving the Honda with their battery that often. They explained the problem may be that when I do drive the Honda, the trips I was taking were not sufficient to fully recharge the battery. So they wanted to check my battery out. they then gave me a new battery while they checked out the old battery . We bought a battery for our jeep 13 months ago at AV Battery & on the receipt it said 24 month warranty if defective bring in for a new battery.We brought our battery in because it would be dead after the vechicle would sit for more than 3 or 4 days,to make a long story short they refused to give us another battery saying it was our altenator.We had the vechicle checked out at a repair shop & they said it was the battery. Being on Social Security and in need of a battery for my Mustang I started calling all the battery locations from auto stores to retail outlet which carried all kinds of needs from food to auto....I called the AV Battery Specialists and was drawn in by a customer review....Craig answered and said he had a battery the number he quoted as to what battery was needed was the same as my research...the quote was close to $60.00 dollars less the highest quote and $30.00 less the the lowest I had found. This is the best place to go for battery problems they gave me a loaner battery to charge mine and see if mine was a problem and even though they were busy the counter was hopping they got me in and out in a reasonable time we have used them for over 15 years and I could not find one thing to complain about. Both gentlemen here are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and answer all my questions without an attitude and are extremely helpful and I will definitely be going back to them.I highly recommend them.
