We talked to their front desk for a change, but were told they're booked up and no room was available. Actually we found out afterwards the adjacent rooms were vacant. It was late so we had no alternatives but to stay. The room was terrible. Carpet was stained. Kitchen floor was sticky. Bedding sets were so dirty that they looked like grey instead of its original color of white. The towels were not clean. So were the other items. We all slept over the night with clothes on. It's a torture every minute we were there. We felt DISGUSTING. In the early morning, we left, but the urine odor stained our clothes and our hair. We sealed all the clothes we had on last night in plastic bags. The clothes we had in our suitcases also smelled of urine. Our bags smelled like urine. It's a nightmare and it RUINED the vacation. Absolutely terrible and disgusting. The front desk when the booking agents called DENIED there was ever pets in the room and refused to co-operate. THEY ARE LYING STRAIGHT ON. We'll never be back to this place. Be cautious on their good reviews, it was a great family business for 50 years now the property is bought by a motel company chain in 2023, their management is a mess. DON'T COME HERE THIS EXPERIENCE WILL HAUNT YOU FOR YEARS

Everything functions well and as expected I only wish they had more sweets with hot tubs and just one or maybe two? They also need better beach access. There was one super whiny, steep trail by sweet three with a hot tub and then a road that you had to walk all the way down view was beautiful and they have that advantage over many other hotels, but they can use utilize the beach access much better for them in their business than what they are doing. I will definitely be going back there to visit again. It will become my secret highway.

Our party stayed at Sandpiper Retreat in Waldport and after getting settled in we already noticed there was some leftover trash in spots of the garage and crumbs in various places of the house. Not going to ruin the trip and we didn't care, however, 4 hours later we were hearing strange noises around the house and then what did we find? A family of RATS in the garage, Eeeek!!! Reached out to Meredith and they have a very firm "no refunds" and "cleanliness is never 100% guaranteed" policy. Needless to say our trip was completely ruined, waste of money, and we high tailed it out of there and found a hotel nearby. The one funny thing is that one of the neighbors was walking their dog and asked us as we were leaving, "Still got critter issues going on?" (while chuckling). I don't know if RATS are that common along the Oregon Coast but I don't think it's appropriate to rent out a property unless there is complete assurance that the rental is pest free. We deal with enough raccoons when we go camping and this was not expected when booking a "classy" rental. Seems high quality pictures are used for the rentals, and then maintenance and upkeep take a back seat because the way this company operates is taking in bookings, no refund policy, deliver low quality service and send you on your way. If you book with Meredith, you'll never book with them again and quite frankly......they don't care! :)

Due to…read moreunexpected circumstances ( no fault of the facility) my mom (94) ended up in ER twice while we were visiting. Della was an incredible help in making a not so good time a good one. Last year we stayed in the Salt and Sea which was a wonderful experience. Knowing that, we returned this year to stay in another place. This place has an incredible view of the ocean as the base of the house sits on the sand. We saw whales and many ships and boats while there. The houses are very nicely decorated and very clean. The price is beyond right as is the attention given by the staff. Thank you again Della for all you did for us while we were there. One of the chipboard doors we could not open at all. Would we stay here again, I don't know. It was easy to check in, easy to communicate with when you had questions.
