So let's start with the positives! This place is cute, clean and has tons of healthy options for your pet. It also happened to be the only place in town that carried my dogs prior pet food (small batch pets). I started coming here weekly about two years ago. Initially I really loved the customer service here. Some younger girls were working and not only did my pet love them- but I did as well. They were warm, helpful and outgoing. Then something shifted - I walked in one day and the owner Kate was discussing prior employee with another customer. Bad mouthing them and discussing how the had moved to work for her "competition". Maybe I'm just too "community over competition" oriented but this experience put a horrible taste in the mouth. Everytime I've seen Kate the owner after she's just very off putting, she's condescending and rude. Not a friendly woman in any form. There are other local pet stores in stgeorge that you could patronize that undoubtedly treat their employees, past employees and customers with more kindness. Also, the owner is VERY money oriented. It doesn't really matter how much you've been there-there used to be free samples which they now charge for. read more

We stumbled across this place. The staff is so friendly and welcoming! A young girl helped us find booties for my shar pei. She took the time to help find the right size as well as treats for both of my Shar peis. I was so impressed by her knowledge of rescue dogs. My two are still learning to be socialized. We went back to get our other shar pei fitted for booties. This is a great place for high quality pet food, treats and products! read more

This is a great pet shop with very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful employees! Last week I visited the Washington City shop in the hopes of "magically" coming up with a new and improved food plan for our 10 year old kitty. I was fortunate to pose my questions to Kat, who is the manager of the Washington City location. She is amazing! She addressed my concerns and questions regarding our kitty's current diet and made suggestions. We are transitioning our kitty to a raw food diet and I am so thrilled with the progress and improvements so far. Kat is so friendly, kind, encouraging and knowledgeable. I'm grateful to have this resource in our area so that we can care for our sweet furry family members in the best way possible. I went to to one on Telegraph In Washington, Utah. I spoke with Salesperson yesterday and she took notes on what I needed. Her name was Claire and she was very helpful helping getting me the items I needed for my dogs trachea. After her last teeth cleaning they said she has signs that quite a few dogs have. The vet put her on Hydrocodone which is additive with side affects. I told Claire I wanted to go grain free and holistic and she was knowledgeable on what I needed for my little Cocoa. Claire suggested this chew that has collagen. I wasn't going to get it because I didn't think my little dog would eat on it but she loves it! Thank you so much for the suggestion! While a long time customer today's surprise came as not one employee wore a mask at the 3 pm hour. Ironic because the mask policy is posted on ALL doors. Perhaps this is due to no owner on premises, but customers were ALL in compliance. Utah has the latest strain and southern Utah has a high senior, at risk population, lots of dog lovers....this is no joke. Please, please, be respectful of your customers, and comply with CDC guidelines and Utah's mask policy. Dogs are great, this is a people problem. read more

I really like this store. They have a great selection, will order pretty much anything you need, are conscious of what is a healthy and and unhealthy ingredient, and they are super friendly and helpful. Every time I go, I find something new to try and they source a lot of "real food" products from family owned farms and small companies. I support them because I think it's critical to keep small businesses alive these days. I could order from Amazon or Chewy, but they are the same prices and this is a small part I can play in making a positive impact in the survival of a great small business that gets it all right. Ran low on Lotus lamb for my dogs while on a road trip. Stopped in for a large bag, but only the medium was in stock. Natalie gave me a discount, since I had to buy two. Lots of good stuff inside for the 4 legged family members. The real treat was meeting Natalie. She was helpful, friendly and a ball of energy. She also helps raise funds for the local K9s in service. I've tried to make this our go to place for dog supplies. I've given the mediocre customer service the benefit of the doubt but my last experience took me over the edge. I had received a life jacket for my dog as a gift and they purchased at Bone Appetit. Unfortunately, the jacket was way too big so I needed to go a size down. I had asked the Santa Clara store while bathing my dog if we would be able to exchange and we were told yes. When I brought the jacket into the Washington store I asked if I could swap it and they said their manager just changed the policy that you only have 7 days to return or exchange. Nowhere in receipts or anywhere written in the store does it say that. Not to mention, we were just told that we could exchange it.. I don't know if the expected us to purchase another hundred dollar life vest or what.. instead, they lost loyal customers. I guess a drowning dog is more important to this store than decent service. I probably would've bought a treat or two for my dog if they would've swapped. Instead, we are stuck with a gift that doesn't work for our dog and service that will guarantee an end of our business. Such a shame. This business has so much potential to be the best natural dog grocer in town but the service, management and environment will certainly crumble this business. read more

I believe it was the owner? She was the only one working who wasn't a young girl. She was extremely rude and treated me like I was a waste of time because I didn't have a giant budget for my 2 labs. I wanted healthy food but just can't afford $300+ a week options she forced on me. Honestly I could let that go what really pushed me to even leave a review is how she spoke to her young employees. I felt so uncomfortable and will not be back after that. Every time I would go in there seems to be a whole new team of employee and I've worked crappy retail enough to know that's large red flag. read more

Awesome shop! They have a lot more variety than I was expecting particularly in the pet food / treats sections. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. We went in hoping they offered grooming services for our high strung pup and even though they don't offer those services, they were happy to help us get it done. This place has a great selection of healthy treats for your dogs! Great selection of dog food and a very helpful staff. The only reason I give them 4 stars out of 5 is because it is a bit pricey, I wish they did a deal where if you buy 5 or 10 treats you get one free like some of the other pet stores but I'm glad we have the option here in St. George/ Washington! The girls that work here are so sweet, knowledgable and genuinely love dogs. I came in to get RuffWear hiking boots for my dog. The girls were quick to explain the two types of boots, measure her foot, try on different sizes, etc. they also fed her yummy treats in the process :). Although I didn't leave with what I came to buy (turns out my girl needs two different sizes for her front and back paws), it was the most enjoyable experience I've had in a pet store to date! Love this place. Found the BEST extra extra small harness for our 4 month old chihuahua Izzy. And while we picked her up the perfect harness we were able to get the cats a couple of unique treats including dried fish. I just wish they could get more dried rabbit ears in!! I relocated to southern Utah 4 years ago for great weather and a grooming position at All Fur Love. I didn't realize at the time that I wasn't feeding the best I could for my dogs after learning from Bone Appetit just what a natural healthy diet really was. My dogs are now on a raw diet and are doing fantastic. I only shop at Bone Appetit for my dogs food and supplies now. They are always so helpful. They carry an awesome selection of everything your pets need. Recently I excepted a position as the grooming manager at La De Paws in Mesquite and it's so nice to know that if I can't make it to their store by closing they will deliver or come in on a Sunday just for me.
