The shop was clean! I was greeted immediately by the 2 women working in there. They spent some time making my anxious little pitbull more comfortable. They only had one dog that they were finishing up on before mine was started. They quoted me a reasonable price and time they would be finished. My pitbull girly came out on time, clean, smelling good, with a cute little bandana. I was also able to pay by card through their payment system. I initially hired this individual to complete a full installation of a range hood, including the…read moreelectrical work. He confidently claimed he could handle everything, but as soon as he saw the installation diagram, he admitted he had no clue how to deal with breakers. Instead of taking responsibility, he brought in an electrician and upsold the electrician's work to pocket extra money. I have text messages to prove he originally claimed he could handle the entire project, including the electrical portion. Regarding the flooring, yes, the damage was caused by a previous installer, which is why I hired him to fix it. He agreed to do the job but ended up damaging six additional pieces of vinyl because he clearly didn't know what he was doing. What was initially a minor issue turned into a much larger problem due to his incompetence. His claim that the vinyl was "cheap" is completely false--it's the same high-quality flooring used throughout my house. To make matters worse, he was supposed to purchase the materials for the job, but I ended up having to buy everything myself. As for payment, he claims I delayed paying him and that he had to contact my wife--both outright lies. There was a group chat, and he began harassing me for payment at 8:15 PM the night he left my house. He was fully paid the following morning by 10:00 AM, so calling this a delay is absurd. The harassment and unprofessional behavior on his part were completely unnecessary. The countertop project he references wasn't even done by him. He outsourced the work entirely, and the first piece he brought was a completely different color than what we agreed upon. He couldn't find the correct color for weeks, and I had to settle for plain white just to move forward. Again, his claim that I abused the situation is laughable--it was his failure to deliver what we agreed upon that caused the issue. Finally, let's talk about his complete lack of professionalism and skill. The baseboards he was supposed to fix were poorly done because he didn't have the patience to use the proper tools. He literally told me, "Taking out the machine is way too hard for me right now," and cut them with a jigsaw, leaving them in a horrible state. Every part of the job that was done correctly was outsourced to other people. He had absolutely no involvement in the successful completion of any part of this project. To make matters worse, since the day he left the job, I've repeatedly tried calling and texting him to get guidance on how to fix the floor he damaged. He has ignored every message and call, completely avoiding any responsibility. The reason for this review is simple--he has left me with unresolved issues and refuses to take any accountability for his actions. In summary, this contractor is unreliable, dishonest, and lacks the skills needed to complete even basic tasks. Save yourself the stress, time, and money--hire someone else. He hides behind excuses, shifts blame, and takes no accountability for his failures.
