They are very strict and sometimes, one man insists on staring at me, one of the woman bus driver bullies me, talking too much about her personal issues and her traumatic past in a threatening way. I wish they would just be quiet and drive. A few drivers also drive very fast, and reckless. There are maybe, one or two good drivers that I possibly would trust, but I rarely see them. It's also very expensive. I like riding with a companion, this feels much safer.

Bevan was quick to answer my call and arrange for pick up. I asked about return and he said that they would check in with me that night and see if we needed a ride back. The night shift came on and text me asking if we still needed a ride. Otis was my driver back to our place and he was fantastic. Both vehicles were clean and had complimentary snacks/water. I especially appreciated the kindness that Otis showed me. Very professional company and 10/10 would use them again.

The camp store just opened and is fully stocked w/ beer, wine and food items. The staff is very friendly and great to talk with. The dog park areas were nice and large with a big dog wash area near the dog park. We will definitely be coming back and recommend GVRV Resort to others.

However, I had a neighbor in the next room who got up at 5am and was heavy footed and had a dog. The noise they made traveled into my room. They woke me up and kept me awake way before I planned to get up. Noise level depends on who ends up next to you. Luckily they were not there for my entire stay. The room was just right and I like the way it looked and the covenience of a kitchen with a full size fridge and stove top and microwave. I bring my own pans. I am glad because I didn't like the pans in the room. I appreciated that the fridge didn't make hardly any noise. Less than mini fridges in most hotels!! Bed was comfortable and management was reachable via text message and provided information via texts that was helpful. Beautiful trees on property and I liked that behind my room was left unmowed-good for nature and made it private. I also loved that the windows opened (four windows in the room (on both sides). Upon first arrival we saw the place had festive Halloween decorations, which I love. Tony immediately came out and greeted us, then directed us to where to park. He then gave us a quick tour of our room, then gave us a tour of the rest of the outside areas. I love how personal Tony was and his genuine enthusiasm in showing his establishment. After we had settled in, we were able to inspect the cottage and it was ideal for two people. Everything was exceptionally clean. The kitchen had utensils, dinnerware, and cookware. The bathroom was also in good condition. The only inconvenience encountered was from my husband (as he is a tall individual) that the toilet area was slightly cramped. We were told that our rooms bed was just upgraded to a king size. Let me tell you, that bed was big and ridiculously comfortable. We both slept so good, we couldn't stop talking about how comfortable it was. As we left for dinner the ambiance of the place was truly enchanting. The beautiful lights created a magical environment, and the canopy with the projector added to the inviting atmosphere. He had kindly opened some wine for us, and we helped ourselves to it upon our return. Tony asked us before he left, what we would like for breakfast. I opted for toasted bagel w/ cream cheese & honey yogurt. My husband asked for avocado toast with fresh fruit. The next morning, he delivered our breakfast to our room. To say we were shocked at how good and fresh everything was, would be an understatement. We certainly plan to visit again in the future. Thank you, Tony, for your wonderful hospitality.

The gentleman who checked us in was pleasant and humorous. The small garden, fountain, etc were wonderful touches. While it's probably only a shadow of its former 50's road trip glory days, it was a welcome surprise to find it well cared for. The only issue was that the window above the bed had no window screen and the window in the "kitchen " alcove had no window covering. A street runs right outside this window thus a privacy curtain is needed. A very easy walk to the old town center with lots of tourist trap shops and a few nice eateries. The chocolate shop is not to be missed as is the updated Mediterranean restaurant.

It does remind you of olden days because it looks like it hasnt been updated since the 70s. Tiny rooms, bedspread looks dirty, and food from the previous renter was still in the fridge. They promote a pool but was told it was closed until it can be inspected and no date was given. I unfortucnately pre-paid based on the positive reviews and now am stuck here for 3 days. I cant imagine where other reviewers stayed previously that they gave this place 5 stars.
