I'm not in construction, but am a better contractor than he is!! The price quoted seemed reasonable but the responsiveness and service provided was atrocious! I realize there is lead time in ordering materials, but had I not continued to hound Marlon I don't think the job would have ever happened! When the job did occur, it was all screwed up! We were getting replacement French Doors installed. First of all, we had to provide final payment before Marlon would allow his guys to even start the job. The check I gave Marlon was cashed before the guys were even done. We both work from home, so I guess we should've supervised the job, but we were paying for the job so we shouldn't have to supervise it, right? Well, the guys leave and then we check out the doors to find out they were installed backwards. Swing-out doors with internal blinds were installed as swing-in doors so the blind controls ended up on the outside of the house! After about three weeks of hounding, Marlon, he finally sent his guys back out to check it out. Did they fix the doors? NO!! They continued to insist that they were installed correctly and left. I ended up having to hire somebody else to turn the doors around and pay them to do it so now the reasonable quote was no longer reasonable! I told Marlon about it, and he promised he would repay me for the door re-install. After 2 months of asking and reminding him he never did so here is his review. Never ever hire Tricolor Flooring or you may end up with Marlon and you will regret it.

He was on time and completed the cleaning as scheduled. We had some very old stains that remained after the cleaning, but overall we were pretty happy. Note - we used our personal carpet cleaning machine a few months after The Rug Man cleaned our carpet. Several of the stubborn stains went away (I think it may have been due to the cleaning product he used).

Over the phone, I explained that I had two rugs that needed to go a serious, serious deep cleaning -- one rug is about the size of a runner and the other was more of an area rug (8x10). After speaking over the phone and receiving the most competitive offer I had heard to date, we agreed on a time and date for rug pick-up. I emphasized that this just was NOT a rush, as both of these heavily soiled rugs are only used in my classroom - and since it is Summer time - no need for them anytime soon! Since I was receiving such a great deal, I did not want to place any unneeded pressure on them. Later that week, a Chem-Dry representative arrived to my door right on time to retrieve the two rugs. After a few days, I received a text message from Seth that indicated the rugs were finished, and we arranged a mutually convenient time for drop-off. Seth hand-delivered the rugs himself to my home, and boy did they look different! All of the kiddie germs and encrusted dirt were 100% gone! All that remained were the rugs in their near original form - a bright colorful square patterned carpet - and the lingering aroma of a recent deep, deep cleaning. As an afterthought, it would have been nice if I had taken a before and after picture to really show readers how filthy these rugs were! But you'll just have to take my word for it :) Overall, I am very pleased with Chem-Dry's flexibility and willingness to accommodate customer needs and preferences. No receipt left to state what the charges were ( my son was home, I was at work) They have not yet returned my calls. My little carpet cleaner from Sam's club works better than what they did. I've had my carpets cleaned before, so I know it's perfectly possible to get them done. Edit: So Monday they finally called and asked if they could come back out and fix the problems. The owner came out with the original technician and they did the carpets together. I am much more pleased with the work, the carpets look like they have actually been cleaned.
