Got here around 7:45am to be first to get my smog check done and when 8am rolled around no one was here. My fiancé ended up calling and the guy on the phone said it would be about 15 minutes. 8:30a rolls around and no one showed up. We left and went down the street to Castrol Premium Lube Express and there were open, friendly and ready to go. Out of there in under 10 minutes. I will not be returning to this location especially since my fiancé has come before and they either were late or left early. This place is not reliable. Don't recommend. read more

Incredibly disappointed. Came here a few times in the past and got good service. Each time I came they were late to open or left early but I let it slide because they did a good job. Today was the last straw. We waited almost an hour and about 15 minutes after the posted open time I called. A1 Smog solved my problem this a.m. when they did my smog for me for the DMV licensing for my auto. They were just finishing up an auto when I pulled in. They were quick, provided necessary paper work for me to complete my registration, and very friendly and respectful. Also, the waiting room was clean with magazines and drinking water. Although I got a discount from the $80 smog check down to $60, it is still relatively expensive compared to other places. Also they wouldnt let me go find my registration paper in my car, instead they rummaged through my car and glovebox to find it for me... WTF, everything was a mess! read more

Not that filling out a review on getting the smog certificate is something one would expect, it is nice to give a "shout out" to the less glamorous things on Yelp besides restaurants and bars. This little smog check and certificate is perfect for exactly that purpose. They are quick, polite, friendly, and seem to gather the "salt of the earth" individuals that are fun to talk to while you wait. They took my car right away (because I was the first one here) and in 10 minutes I was done. They are inexpensive and if you check in with Yelp you might get a discount coupon. They are a little hidden away and you have to pick the correct driveway (if you find yourself at the casino you picked the incorrect one). I've taken my two cars here and will do so again when the State of California demands. read more

This is hidden behind the casino but worth driving through the parking lot. There is a street just before the casino entrance I recommend using. I arrived shortly about 45min after they opened. One other person was there before me. The attendant said 20min and he was very accurate. They did a quick job and had no hidden fees. I did use the yelp check in to get The best price. Seating room is a small room with a few chairs but their service is so quick you won't spend much time there as long as there isn't a ton of people in front of you. You pay at the end. read more

This place is hidden, but it didn't stop us from finding it! We had a quick smog and the guy was very nice and efficient. The waiting room was a nice oasis from the 97 degree heat outside, especially since we had our two month old with us. Called ahead to check prices. $54.95 for my vehicle. Took my vehicle in for a smog check same day. Guy at the counter was initially friendly, but when I received the price quote, it was $74.95. He indicated he gave me a $15 discount. I told him I called ahead and was told the price for my type of vehicle was $54.95. He said it was different since I had a truck. Funny, other smog stations quoted me $50-$60 knowing my type of vehicle. I called the same number from before and spoke to Emmett (sp?) who was kind enough to remember me and the price that was quoted. He said he would call and let his employee know that the cost should be $54.95. When I returned to the counter, the guy at the shop was quiet until it was time to settle the bill. He asked me what was the price quoted over the phone, $64.95? I told him I was quoted $54.95 and asked if the owner called in. He indicated he got in trouble with his boss and vented about the conversation which I thought was unprofessional. I apologized for inadvertently getting him into trouble, but I was only clarifying the cost of the smog check. My truck passed the smog check and had no issues or light indicators telling me something was wrong prior to coming in to the shop. The next day, I was driving home from work per normal and the check engine light comes on. I'm currently trying to deal with it, but I don't want to return to this shop. It was an unpleasant experience, specifically with the guy at the shop. I didn't verbally catch his name, but the smog certificate reads as Inspector Jamshed Sanjana. The owner on the phone seemed nice enough and I would have rather dealt with him if he was there. After researching multiple smog stations with price quotes ranging from $50-$60, I felt like I was pulled into a bait and switch. I came here expecting good service at the price quoted and experienced something completely different. I will not return and will not recommend others to come to this shop. Update: Took my vehicle to my regular maintenance shop and I told them that I had recently passed smog, but my check engine light came on the day after I took it to the smog shop. They ran codes and told me everything looked fine except that my oil dipstick was missing. They said it should have never passed smog with the dipstick missing and found it quite odd. They replaced my dipstick and ran the diagnostic again and things checked out. It's funny that no one else had any business going into the hood of my vehicle besides my maintenance shop and my husband said it was there since the last time he checked my oil levels. read more
