I brought the car back the next day. The staff were all smiles and careful with their wording, making it seem like they'd recheck it for free since they missed the issue the first time. They never mentioned a charge. I should've confirmed, but instead of charging upfront like before, they hit me after the fact. This place relies on vague communication and slippery language to squeeze out extra fees. Be cautious.

Fred was really tentative to my anuto needs and helpfully transferred me to Joel in ALLSTATE TRANSMISSION (which is a few blocks away from golden one automotive). Joel was super friendly when I arrived to check out the shop. He kindly gave me a tour of the shop/ area where the transmissions are repaired. I immediately felt after researching other shops that this was where I wanted to get my truck fixed. When I dropped off my truck they immediately got to working on it and were done in 1 day with it! Truck runs as smooth as butter . Joel was kind and let me know if there is any issues to please let him know to get things in order. I will definitely be taking my cars for any future repairs to Joel. Will definitely give Fred a call if any issues come up with my other vehicles.

The price seemed high, so I shopped around and ended up buying tires elsewhere. When I returned last week for an oil change, the owner's wife asked if I still needed tires. I told her I had already purchased them, and she was clearly upset that I didn't buy from them. I also asked the owner to check my brake pads because I had been hearing noises. After the oil change, I followed up, and he informed me that the brake pads were still in good condition. I had a feeling that wasn't true, possibly to let the issue get worse and charge more later if the rotors were damaged. I got a second opinion at another shop, and the mechanic confirmed I definitely needed new brake pads and had to replace the rotors. I won't be going back. It felt like they were more interested in waiting for my car to get worse so they could charge more rather than being honest about the issue.
