The employees here are truly the best! Everyone was so kind and helpful. I ordered my food without realizing that tomatoes came on everything. When my food was ready, I mentioned it to the staff, and they realized that the menu doesn't actually make this clear. They were incredibly kind and offered to remake my food without any hesitation. They also let me know that tomatoes were included in the rice and black beans as well, which allowed me to adjust my order and get exactly what I wanted. The food was good, but the customer service really stood out to me. The building itself is pretty small and there is only outdoor seating, so just something to keep in mind if you're planning to eat there. These are the most legit street tacos in all of Flagler!! The green chili simmered pork tasted just like the way we had them in Santa Fe, NM! The price CANNOT be beat! 4 double corn tortilla tacos with salsa and tomatillo sauce for $11??!? !! I mean, I have lots of co workers from LA that bring grills to work and feed us all. They call it the Cholo Cookout! these tacos, are definitely those tacos! Our friends got the UFO, and a burrito the size of your head, 2 beers:$30!! We decided to try out A1A Burrito Works, beautiful day! We did check out the outdoor seating ahead of time which is picnic tables only but there were 3-4 the sun was shining on. We usually stay away from the picnic tables but with the reviews I read we had to try. Bonus is you can order on the Clover app and customize to your liking. My husband ordered a beef burrito and I ordered a chicken taco we also got a bag of tortilla chips with queso, I also ordered an extra Baja sauce. When I placed the order it said to pick up in 20 minutes but in actual time our order was ready for at least 35 minutes. My husband really enjoyed his burrito almost as good as the ones we got when living in California. My taco was very good, so much chicken on it and the Baja sauce was so tasty! AIA Burrito Works has a "cult" following. I mean.. This is TRULY the place... to get a leg-up on what the area is like, what the locals are doing, get the "juice", get the vibe. You know what I mean. I'm not a burritos loving girl but I did get the tropical bowl.. which consisted of some beef, and all the toppings that are normal to a burrito bowl.. It was great ! But this place is SO MUCH MORE ! It is the essence of Flagler Beach. Its what you come here for. The relaxed vibe. The sound of the ocean. Easy Living. No Stress. I spent a half a day wandering around the very small village of Flagler Beach and I fell in LuuuuuV ! Seriously! I'm in LOVE with this little town... If I could move here I would move here! In a heartbeat . I feel like... and I could be ENTIRELY wrong... but I feel like this area is a bit more left-leaning that many other areas of Florida. In fact, the little town and the beach felt like many of the really tiny tiny beach towns in California which are very difficult to get to, have a rough beach and have cooler air. If I closed my eyes... and didn't know where I landed..I could easily think I was still in California. The sand on Flagler Beach is brown, and the waves are rough.. many areas have steep slopes.... so its not really a beach where you could leave a chair in the one spot all day long... the tide comes in and its rough out there... but beautiful ! read more

I have been out to A1A Burrito Works a number of times over the years, and it is still my favorite burrito and taco place in Florida. It is a bit of a trek for me to get out there, but if I make a day of it they are a great place to go to before the long haul back through Palatka and home to Gainesville. I've tried pretty much everything that is on the menu, but my go-to is still the burrito. It is a toss-up between which style I like better, but I think I prefer the Works over Baja style. Ordering is simple... go in the shop and make your order. Then sit outside under an umbrella and wait for your name to be called out, and pick up your order at the window. The staff are always polite and they do a good job. This is your quintessential beach food location, and reminds me of my years down in the Florida Keys when I used to work in sailboat rentals and would go across the bay to get sandwiches and other food items. Most of the time the clientele are in bathing suits and sandals, there is the scent of the ocean in the air, and the weather always seems to be hot. I had the burrito with NM hatch chili because they knew about NM hatch chili. It was an oddly specific ingredient and it gave me a good feeling about my order. I wasn't disappointed. The chili had a nice pleasant heat. Flavors were distinct and crisp. It reminded me of Roswell. I wish they were closer to where I live. The next time I'm back I'll try the UFO. I have been to the Burrito Works in St. Augustine many times and was happy that there was a location near where we were staying over the weekend. This one is a much smaller spot. There's no dining inside so you basically just go in to order and grab your food. They do have tables outside, but since it was rainy we just took our orders to eat in the car. This location may be smaller, but the food is just as delicious! I ordered a chicken UFO (think kind of like a Crunchwrap, but way better), and it was delicious and packed with tasty chicken and fillings. My husband and I stopped at this taco shop on our way up the Florida coast en route to St Augustine. We debated where to stop and I'm so glad we chose A1A Burrito Works! I had the sides of rice and beans with guac and salsa- everything was delicious. When Mexican food is done right, it's one of my favorites, and the flavors of the guac and salsa were so fresh and complimented the rice and beans perfectly. My husband had the chicken burrito "with the works" as recommended by the cashier and he reported it to be one of the best burritos he's ever had! Patrons order at the counter and wait for their order outside, as the building is very small and there is not much standing room inside. Menus are placed in and outside the building and there are a few picnic tables for patrons once you've gotten your order. This place is nothing fancy but the food was A+! read more

Hubby and I shared a beer, and the landshark ground beef 3 taco deal. Crunchy corn shell but you can get whatever type of shell you want and any type of protein you want. One of the best tacos I've ever had and I'm kinda an expert. I will be rushing back. Oh, the prices are super fair, so fair I tipped extra. The folks that work there are so nice and something else I didn't expect was I ordered an ice tea. It was the freshest most delicious ice tea I've had in a while.
