A2B Catering provided a Banana Leaf Wedding Luncheon at our daughter's wedding in July 2026. With over 20 item included, the food was delicious and so many of our guests were praising both the food & the experience of eating a traditional & authentic Tamil meal on a banana leaf. We were also very impressed by A2B team's execution of a served Banana Leaf lunch for over 200 guests, which went without a glitch. Our American guests were most astonished with this presentation. I have eaten here several times, and the food is always delicious! They have an extensive menu featuring both North and South Indian favorites. Everything is vegetarian but packed with flavor. I tried the Plantastik Dosai, and it was just okay. I was excited by the menu description of "Plantastik 100% plant-based protein (moong bean)," but it mostly tasted like JUST egg. Every other dish I have tried, from the Podi Dosa to the Lychee Paneer, has been fabulous. The food arrives quickly, and the staff are helpful if you have questions about the menu. This is my third time visiting this A2B and the food has been consistently good. The parking is private and plenty of parking available. As you enter the restaurant, the ambiance is so pleasant and welcoming. The staff greets and gets you seated. The menu is via app and is very easy to use. We ordered Veg thali for dine in Then ordered Crispy corn, Veg Kothu parotta, vegetable fried rice and Idiyappam with coconut milk. The Veg thali meals was good portion and came with rice, Roti, Sambar, veg kurma, Rasam, yogurt, a desert, few sides of vegetables like spinach dal fry and sweet potatoes. I missed the Puli Kozhambu instead got the Mor kolambu. Overall the taste was spot on for Southindian meal. We did order some snacks for take home and they were perfect and fresh. Ordered paneer 65, mini thali and mysoore masala dosage. Paneer 65 was ok, actually a bit dry. But that's it rest was done right. Mini thali was loaded with idli vada ghee Pongal and kichdi along with mid sized dosa. Pongal and kichdi were made in ghee and were done perfectly right. Idli was soft and vada was not drenching in oil. Sambar was perfect, not oily or too spicy. Mysoore masala dosa was done perfecf. Filter coffee was nice. We also ordered Royal falooda which was nice and loaded. The place is casual dining with relaxed ambiance. They sell snacks as well. The place is pure vegetarian. I do recommend it highly! read more

I'm writing this review for both the South Plainfield and Princeton locations as they just mirror each other and there is no concern that I could even think of. I've been here enough number of times than any other restaurant I've been to, in NJ or even in the US and that makes me bonafide e to write this review. If you are in the state of Tamilnadu in India, you will know that this restaurant is the Mecca of South Indian vegetarian restaurants and people will swear by it, for its taste and quality. There are also other restaurants in NJ that are run as franchise of some famous south Indian restaurants, but the A2B is unlike others. These two do not disappoint a bit and stay true the brand's authenticity. The taste and quality are exceptional and the staff are kind and pleasant. When driving along Rt. 1 South, we always pass A2B and always tell ourselves we should go and try this. Finally, we found a nondescript weekday to visit this place for dinner. First, the space is pretty damn spacious and clean. I was impressed. We were seated relatively quickly and were greeted promptly. We placed our orders and off we went. First, the service here is FAST. Like literally within a few minutes, we received our drinks (mango lassis), main course, appetizer, 2nd main course, and the 3rd. Literally within minutes. We were done eating within a half hour. I've never seen speed like this. Now to the food/drinks, here is what we ordered and our thoughts: 1) Mango lassi: it was solid. It came in a plastic to-go cup, which was.... interesting. It tasted pretty good though. My only gripe is the price.$6.50 for one mango lassi is wild. That's a bit too crazy for me. 2) Gobi 65: we gobbled this down pretty quick! Loved the taste and the spice level was tolerable, but not bland. Big fans 3) Chole Bathure: The chole was solid - in terms of spice level, but I wish I received a bigger serving of the chole. The bathure was fine, though it became a bit stiffer at the end. TBD if I'd repeat again. 4) Mini Tiffin: mom had this. It wasn't bad, though maybe not the best. 5) Onion rava masala dosa: technically, it's called an Onion Rava Dosai. My pops had it, but it's worth noting that this isn't the typical dosa you receive at a South Indian restaurant. It's made differently because it's made out of semolina and there are onions topped on the dosa. I believe it's a Hyderabadi style.... Was unique to say the least. I was originally leaning towards a 3, but I went with a 4 because we got a really really good waiter, Kiya. He said our experience worthwhile with his hospitality. Very special waiter. I think they have a ton of options that it almost becomes a bit overwhelming. Maybe too many choices. I noticed it's easier to read the menu via the website instead of via QR. I wonder if the Hyderabadi items taste better as the traditional South Indian items were not really different or better than what I get close to home. read more

I've had better Rava Dosas compared to what I had at this restaurant. Additionally the chutneys paired with Dosas were flavorless. Some of the positives include average wait times and quick and efficient service. The menu is extensive with a variety of south indian and north indian foods but seem like they are known more so for the south indian entrees. Also another huge plus is the that it is a fully vegetarian restaurant, which is a rare find. Adyar Ananda Bhavan which is now famously being called as A2B, was a much needed south Indian restaurant to the Princeton/Central NJ area. This was our first visit to the restaurant, and they delivered food and service that stood to its name! Except for a couple of minor issues, like sambar not being piping hot, pongal was tad bit dry, most of the food we ordered was delicious and fresh. The service was super quick, the wait staff and probably the manager Rajesh ensured we had a great time and provided everything we asked for to make it an experience that will bring us back soon. I went have been to their Parispanny locations a few times. This place is similar. Just good South Indian food l. On a Sunday go early, after release there will be a wait. Despite the area's large Indian population, South Jersey lacks options for vegetarian, South Indian food. While plenty of restaurants serve butter chicken, naan, and other North Indian classics, places that specialize in dosa, idly, and sambar are rarer. A2B is one of the few choices around to satisfy your craving for this type of cuisine, and fortunately the food here is quite good. A2B is actually a chain restaurant with roots in Chennai. The outside and inside of the restaurant look relatively nondescript, but the space is tidy and bright enough for a pleasant night out. My family luckily got seated immediately during a recent Saturday dinner, but expect a wait during peak hours given the place's popularity. We started with an assortment of appetizers, which comprised the masala vada, gobi 65, and baby corn chili. All three tasted great, with the tangy-sweet baby corn and the crunchy, spicy vada making a memorable impression. Our dosas arrived shortly after. Each of our dosas arrived hot from the kitchen and possessed the ideal balance of crispy edges and more chewy, thicker centers. The flavor of the batter carried a characteristic fermented tang and the perfect amount of salt. Furthermore, the sambar here is excellent with a rich taste and balanced seasonings. My South Indian and very discerning wife heartily approved of the quality of the food, and particularly complimented her spicy Mysore Masala dosa. Service ran efficiently for us despite how crowded the restaurant seemed. Our servers vigilantly kept waters full and provided prompt assistance when needed. Prices run on par with nearby competitors, so think about $10-13 per dosa depending on your order. Overall, A2B is an excellent choice to get your dosa fix in the area. My parents have dined here multiple times with consistently good experiences, and my wife and I look forward to coming back when the mood for South Indian vegetarian strikes. read more
