I am so disappointed with service I received today. I had to put down the dog we found, I tried to give him a forever home but he was aggressive to people. I spent over $300 2 weeks ago in medication and vaccine. The pound wouldn't take him they were full. when I called the clinic the receptionist said just let him go maybe he'll go home. I couldn't believe she would say turn an animal loose onto the street to starve. I spent an additional $185 to put the dog down, I asked to speak with him without all his assistances in the room, I wanted to let the Veterinary know what happened. He sharply told me it was lunch time and didn't have any time to talk. I canceled my other dog's neuter apt. I won't be back. read more

I've been coming to this clinic since kindergarten, and now I'm grown with a house and all that good stuff. Are there cheaper clinics out there? Sure, been to them. Doctors with better bedside manner? Absolutely. Met them, loved them. But experience is where Dr. Sheffield rules. This dude might come off as intimidating - especially amongst his wonderful, kind, enthusiastic, rock star staff - but he absolutely knows his stuff. He knows exactly, clinically, how to assess your pet, and will always give you the formula for successful treatment (if it's possible). He's saved two pets in my lifetime in crisis, and has always reliably and clearly communicated to me what the issue is (or might be) and discussed budgeting when necessary. AA Animal Clinic is an old local business with personality, reliability, and good practice. There are plenty of other options out there, but I'm more than happy with what we've got. read more

Just took our two birds to have the nails, wings and beak done. The girls at the front desk and assistants were nice. The doctor had NO personality like did not introduce himself or explain what he was going to do. Didn't ask anything about the birds and just started to do the trimming. We were very specific on the wings that we did not want them to drop like a rock and have ability to flutter etc. We had a prior avian vet and they had an actual chart on what to cut and what they did for the birds. This practice was like the pet store and cut almost every wing feather. Needless to say they drop like rocks now and face possible future injury. The comment from the vet was they will grow back????? So needless to say DO NOT BRING YOUR BIRDS TO THIS PRACTICE!!!! SO disappointed.... read more

We switched to this Vet bc our dog got hurt and our current Vet was still doing curbside service and I didn't want to put my poor pup through more stress. They were awesome! The staff was so friendly, patient and compassionate. The Vet seemed to come in within minutes of our arrival and he was so gentle and encouraged me to talk to her and be near her while he examined her. (Old Vet wanted you across the room). Also really like the fact that he wasn't pushing for more then what she needed at the current moment. Overall experience was great. We are very happy with our new Vet! read more

I took my cat in because my normal vet is booked solid for 2+ weeks right now. He hasn't been anywhere else or had any contact whatsoever with other pets/people in months. My cat then got an upper respiratory infection, started sneezing and it got progressively worse. He's lethargic, has runny eyes, and feels terrible. I called to get information about his treatment and told them what happened. They were super rude and shockingly uncaring. They were aggressive, argumentative, and denied any responsibility. When I was really upset because of the way they escalated the conversation, the older front desk lady actually said "Oh well" to me. They suggested it was more plausible I tracked it in on my shoes, rather than him getting it at the vet where sick animals go. Had they offered to see my cat again without charging, and try to fix the problem with an apology, it would have been okay. They were so rude and quick to shift blame anywhere else. Before this, I told my regular vet to send the overflow customers to them. They will be told of what happened here so no one else gets referred and treated like garbage while paying expensive vet bills during a time when people can't work. They also have a sign on the door asking clients to wear masks but don't enforce the policy, as while I was there they let a woman come in and hang out to pick up her dogs without any face covering. read more

This is the best clinic I have ever taken my dogs to. The doctor is brilliant and will help you understand every concern you may have with your beloved pet. The technicians are also friendly. Everyone is always full of smiles and you can tell they really love and care for all of the pets that walk through their doors like if they were their own family members!!! Took our cat in for a check up and shots. Was kind of high priced and wanted us to out her on a flea program that was very expensive but we decided against 8t since she was a indoor cat. This seemed to upset the vet and he left the exam room in a huff. I didn't care and went on with our day. As we were leaving they had some rescue kittens in a cage near the door. We asked that if they should ever come a cross a calico kitten to call us that we may be interned in a rescue kitten for adoption. Received a call 2 weeks later that they had 2 kittens that are calico and we should take a ride over. We did. The one kitten was definetly a calico and matched in color to our other calico cat. The other kitten was a gray kitten but did not look like a calico. We asked and the receptionist (manager) told us they were sisters. We were not expecting to take on 2 kittens but did not want to separate the kittens. We asked about their rescue program which included a free spay for both cats as long as we do their shot program which was 6 rounds of shots and booster shots. We asked about if they could save us money for their declaw since our other cars are declawed. The manager offered us a good price for their declaw. So we thought. First, their shot program is way over board of what you actually need. They charged us $60 each time we have to go in for the shots to get the free spaying. The original adoption fee was $80 each! This included two rounds of their first shots so we had to pay for the next 4 rounds at $60 for both. That's $240. We made the appointment for the spay and declaw. The spay was free and the declaw was supposed to be $100 each. They gave us an estimate of almost $600 for the spay and declaw! I asked what happened to the $100 estimate and the manager replied that the fee did not include the 3 day pain meds, special cat litter, cones for their heads, and follow up. What kind of a vet would give an estimate for a declaw without pain meds? Plus we had to pay for the future shot rounds since we wanted to spay and declaw before the end of the shot rounds. All in all we spent over $800 for two rescue kittens! I called Pet Alliance and asked about their rescue programs and they charge $60 to adopt with all the shots and free spay. I also asked about AA Animal shot and booster program and they told me that have of the shots are not needed. According to Pet Alliance, I needed a rabies and booster shot and that's it! AA Animal is all about making money. They decieve their clients by not telling them the whole picture. Also, the other kitten turned out to not be a calico or the actual sister of the calico kitten we wanted. AA Animal Hospital lied to us just in order for us to take the two kittens. I will never walk into to this place again. They lie about the fees, they find fees to charge you when not needed, they suck you in with low cost shots and charge you a lot when something is wrong. We should have just went to Seminole County and adopted a kitten and stayed with Pet Alliance! We would have saved over $600! read more

My family and I went to this vet for 2 decades and never received anything but stellar service. The vet and staff were always kind and compassionate. We have a lot of animals (cats, dogs, and ferrets) and was given a small discount because of the amount of business we gave them. Through the years, they helped us with emergencies and routine check ups and were there for us emotionally when a beloved animal would pass away. The only reason we no longer use this wonderful clinic is due to us having to move to a different state and let me say that no vet we've tried up here comes close to the service we got at AA animal clinic. read more

Unlike what is suggested by their phone number, (386-668-CARE), they do not CARE about your pet family members...all they CARE about is money! My parents and I have spent hundreds of dollars here (unfortunately), my parents donated 3 large bags of nearly new pet toys, and never will return. My Dad is having an emergency with his doggie son, but they told him they will do nothing because my Dad only had $400 to spare. (Dad was just their this past Saturday and paid nearly $250 for after hours emergency; which consisted of 2 shots, a catheter, and some take home meds.) The surgery cost $1600....they refused monthly payments from him as he doesn't have a checking account. I live in CA now, and have always paid this vet for their services (even from this distance). To be treated like this, when my parents' baby is suffering right in front of them is disgusting! Shame on you AA! read more

AA Animal Clinic provides very affordable care for your fur babies. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. Dr. Mark has a dry sense of humor, but definitely knows his stuff and is great with the pets. I'm not as concerned with his bedside manner with me, as I am about his skills, and he's excellent. I highly recommend this facility. They have provided outstanding care to several of our kitties and we have boarded them there as well. I like them so much that I drive from Orlando to Debary and it's because I couldn't be happier with the level of service they provide each and every time! read more

This Dr. is heartless and really should not be in this profession. My husband and I have been going to this clinic for years for the location only but the last visit was an all time low. As a nurse my self, this Dr. has absolutely no bed side manners. Once I told the Dr. what was going on with my dog he took a comb and I Quote, " you see that black thing, that's flea SHIT". The bill ended up being $247.00 when I told him that I was not prepared to pay that much I had $150.00 the bill was $147.00 and nothing given for the flea shit. A steroid injection and antibiotics new vet needed ASAP. read more

Dr. Sheffield at AA Animal Clinic is the best veterinarian. He is the only vet that I would ever take my pets to see. He is very caring and knowledgeable about what animals need. He will work with you to figure out what is best for your pet and tries not to charge too much. One of my kittens was dying and Dr. Sheffield saved his life. I will always be so grateful to him for saving my kitten's life and always providing the best care for all of my pets. read more
