My garage door started malfunctioning and it was Sunday and I called Precision Garage Doors and they came out with a free estimate. The guy that came out told me I needed a new motor and the cost to replace it would be over $1,100. I didn't go for it and told him to send me an invoice and I would get back to them if I decided to have the work done. On Monday I called and spoke with Brian from AA Best Garage Doors and he came out and inspected the garage. He didn't think the motor needed to be replaced. He acknowledged that it was old but he thought the problem could be with the sensors. He said he would send someone out again the next morning. I can't remember the name of the guy that showed up. He showed up just after nine in the morning and he was both friendly and helpful. He was able to fix the sensor and the garage door was back to working properly. AA Best Garage Doors is a business that is honest and I would recommend this company to anyone looking to repair their garage door. I ordered a door through AA Best and provided a deposit. Five months later no door. After I repeatedly followed up and finally calling the manufacturer myself I was told the door was not in production and that I should cancel. So I did. It has now been four weeks and AA Best has not returned my deposit. Despite having received a refund from the manufacturer they have indicated that they are short on cash and therefore cannot return my deposit. I was looking to replace a heavy wood garage door with no opener that was likely from when the house was built in 1952. Brian came out on a Saturday to measure for my door. He had a top notch door available. It included windows and insulation. He explained the difference between an insulated and non-insulated door and he showed me a sample of each to show the difference. The quotes from other installers were for a non-insulated door with no windows for about the same price. He sent a quote within a couple of days and the price for the door and opener was excellent. Michael and the installation crew was great. There was no trace of them ever being there except for the new door/opener. They hauled off the old door and hardware. I am really happy with the new door. Easy to use. The opener is wi-fi enabled if your wi-fi signal reaches the garage. Mine doesn't but I don't really need to open/close the door using my phone. Used AA Garage for a new door. Cool salesman/owner and nice lady at the desk. Door looks good no problems after install. Fast forward a year and a half, the door starts to squeak and becomes noticeably noisy. I call AA to have the door service. Tech comes out, cool dude says it just needs silicone spray. He sprays the metal parts and the door works fine. He stays about 10 min and all is well until I get a $100.00 ($25 discount ) service invoice. Ridiculous. He sprays a few joints stays about 10min and leaves. I email the owner inquiring about the 100 dollar fee. Says sorry we gave you a discount. Ok, that's cool. 100 for a couple sprays of silicone, unbelievable. Beware..Go to Home depot and get a 8dollar can of silicone. Come on man read more

Our door pretty much failed and I found AA online. Brian came right out and under no pressure I picked an upgrade door with the side-mount motor. The door came in a few days before expected and we found an install time the following week that worked. One guy came which surprised me a bit (its a tough job for one), but he did the work safely and in less than 4 hours. Can't remember the installers name but he was great and very professional. We just purchased a new home with a 3-car garage, one door for each car. Unfortunately, the doors were the old wooden tilt-up type with only one door connected to an automatic opener. The other two doors were in very bad shape being tilted, broken springs, etc. We called garage door replacement companies (Mesa because of the radio ads, G&G because they replace the doors on our first house, and A & A) for estimates. Of all 3 companies, A & A provided the BEST quote (over $1,000 cheaper than Mesa!!) for very comparable doors (their quoted top-line models with steel back and insulated R-10 value). Needless to say, we went with A & A. The garage doors we chose are manufactured in the USA by Unique. The doors are 2" thick with insulation sandwiched between 2 heavy gauge hot dipped galvanized pre-painted steel door skins. The 11-Ball silent white rollers and 14 gauge heavy duty roller carriers are so quiet, they make our G&G garage door sound like a rock concert in comparison! Installation of the doors would require cutting the cement at the base of the garage. Both Mesa and G&G stated that once cut, it would look ugly. A&A stated that using the right tool and blade, that they could make it look nice. They did not lie, it looks great! The doors were supposed to be delivered and installed on a Thursday. I received a call on Wednesday from A & A who said that the manufacturer is still working on the doors and they will not be ready until Friday. First thing Friday morning, the crew shows up with the new doors and began to work. Installation was smooth with the installation team dismantling and hauling away every last bit of the old doors (good riddance!). The cement was cut, new doors were installed (along with 2 new Genie garage door openers for the other two doors). Mesa and G&G were going to charge $85 extra to retrofit the existing Craftsman door opener to accommodate the 3rd door, but A & A did it for FREE! Why did I not give them 5 starts then? A couple reasons. 1. After the crew left, we noticed that one of the doors has a larger gap between the rows of short panels than the other two, so looking at them all together, this door looks different. Brian from A & A sent his crew out the next day and they tightened up the panels, but was unable to correct it. Brian will be taking a picture of the door to send it to the manufacturer to get their take on it. He believes it is a manufacturing defect and is working on getting a replacement door sent. If he does this, I will definitely bump it up to 5+ stars. 2. The installation crew neglected to bring a vacuum with them when they cut the cement. This left cement dust everywhere when they left. This was not a big deal to me as I thought about the savings (over $1,000) I received by going with A & A and just grabbed my wet/dry vacuum and took care of it smiling. If you are looking for a replacement garage door, I highly recommend calling Brian at A & A. You will NOT be disappointed. Quality doors and very reasonable prices. read more

Will never work with this company again. BUYER BEWARE!!! Ordered a custom door via Brian. He told me 7-10 business days. He failed to follow up with me, the customer, at the 10 day mark. I finally got through to him 2 weeks later and he told me another 2 weeks. 2 weeks later, 4 weeks by now, I called and threatened to cancel my order so he finally got to work on my order. It appears that he never sent the order in (or as he claims that it's not his fault cause it got lost somewhere) so I would have to wait yet another 2 weeks. This garage door company came through for me in a big way! The day we were closing escrow on the sale of my condo the garage door got stuck, it wouldn't open or close.
