Wow I hate when this happens... when you had an amazing experience with a company year and years ago so you return and it's just night and day from the previous experience. Bummer. Our garage door was broken so we called them out. We told them we could only be home until 4pm and they gave us the window of 2-4pm. We made sure we were home during that time. Unfortunately, it was for no reason because nobody showed up or called. We called them and they said they would come tight then and only take a minute to give an estimate for the work. Well no estimate was provided and they just started the work without any communication. When I heard drilling I asked if they were going to provide an estimate or what? And the workers said, ya, it's almost done, it's $450. No approval, no paperwork, nothing. I was late to my appointment and they said we could leave them locked in the garage, but as we were going to leave they kept having to go through the house to get things from their truck. I didn't want to leave them locked in the hot garage but we really had to leave. The whole situation was so incredibly frustrating. Then the office girl called me to collect payment and made it 100 times worse. I was trying to explain to her that the process was really stressful and she said, "ok so then I'll just have them go back and undo everything they did" .... Are you serious? What kind of customer service is that? What a terrible representation for their business. Had she said, "I understand how that was frustrating. We should have come when we said we were/communicated/provided an estimate/explained what we were even doing/honestly anything? It would have been different. Things happen, I get that, but have accountability and communication. It's very very basic customer service. We paid, we're done with them, but we will never use this company again. read more

I called and told them it was urgent as my garage door was not working correctly, they showed up next morning on time , the tech checked and found and fixed the issue very quickly. They charged me 65 dollars for an estimate, they didn't even tell me they will charge me for the estimate, other wise I would not ask them to come at all. Because most of the company will offer free estimate and give a quote. They insist they told me on the phone and want to me to pay 65 dollars, I know they never said that. My wife had Mesa garage door the original company who sold us the doors to come out to replace the seal underneath my garage door as it was chewed up by a rat. I never understood why the garage door could not lay flat to the surface on floor. I had Mesa come and try to fix it when I originally bought the door. They couldn't fix as they said my garage floor is in even, and we had to live with a narrow gap. That's why we had the rat enter my garage chewing up the seal. The Mesa rep said the repair not only needed a new seal but also a new rotor rebuild. They asked for a deposit and went on their way. I smelled BS so I called Sam's Garage door and Diego not only replaced the sealed but properly adjusted the garage door to fit flush to the ground of my floor. After having this company over to my condo on Thursday, my garage door now doesn't open or close on Saturday via the mobile clicker or wall mount clicker (it has to opened/closed manually which is not ideal for my 5'4 wife who leaves to work each morning after me). We've used this company a few times prior and now they are unwilling to give us a 2.5 hour show-up window (must be 4 hours from 11am-3pm) to accommodate my work schedule next week. I communicated that I can be home by 12:30pm next Tuesday and can wait late for them, but the office manager refused to accommodate me at all here. Also, one of the screws wasn't screwed into the strut brace. Poor quality and customer service; I would not recommend this company to my friends. Why do they have FIVE STARS? Read and find out! When we were searching for an installer, we did a ton of research - reviews of service and the products themselves. The whole thing. We needed to know what we were in for. We sweat over this decision for many weeks before we chose Sam's. SO happy we did! The employees are incredibly knowledgeable, courteous, clean, respectful, organized, and quick to respond - especially post install, which is where it really matters. We have personally worked with Jesse on a few occasions and can't fault him for anything. The install was super clean. Wiring was professional, as well as the physical install, where there was no damage or marks remaining after. They did a complete walk-through and when they left, there was nothing in the way of trash or debris to be found. Such respectful guys. On top of that! The admin staff is the same! Totally pro and very easy to work with. No attitudes when we asked for help or to fit us in in a pinch when something I did caused an issue. They always have gone above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. You can't get that anymore anywhere. Many companies that employ dudes performing physical labor have very low standards for entry and quality. NOT THE CASE HERE. Any one of these guys could carpool with you and take your job at corporate! They are articulate, super well groomed, polite..everything your wife wishes you were and y9our mom raised you to be. AND the same dudes show up every time - no turnover or guys working at a job they don't care about. I just can't praise them enough. Everyone we have interacted with on every occasion has made it a good, personal transaction. Bottom line is they care. BTW, this review is years overdue. THe garage door has been flawless for years. TOday, our torsion spring broke, rendering the garage unaccessible. THey fit us in last minute and came out, doing another stellar job. The springs are only rated for about 10K cycles, that's quite a lot. Ours outlasted that by over 1K cycles! The springs tell the tale of the install. If they fail prematurely, the install was less than perfect.. Bravo! read more

Sam's garage door technician came to my property because they're subcontracted with my home warranty, Old Republic. Even though there is an error code on my garage door's spring that had to be overwritten, and I have only been sparingly using my garage door for 5 days now because I don't want the spring to snap and come down on anyone, Sam's garage door technician and Old Republic home warranty refused to help me out. I asked them, "Are you gonna be responsible if the spring breaks and the garage door comes down on someone here at the property?" They refused to answer, but also refused to replace the spring. I called Sam's Garage to book an appointment. They had one available within 5 days. Robert came out to assess my garage opener situation and unfortunately couldn't change it that day due to not having access to the parts needed to fix it. I was extremely disappointed. Robert spent his time with me and shared the options I had...and he promised me he would take care of me within the week by Friday at the latest. I waited for the call back for the new appointment and did get it but it wasn't going to happen within the week. I was devastated. I took the later appointment.
