So, it is difficult to pay $ 800 dollars for a job that is done in one hour and 5 minutes. I understand inflation is high but there should be some kind of consideration with the customers. In any case yellow pages advertises the charge of $150 per hour, and that does include the commute of the technician to the site. In conclusion I got another technician who came to add the speakers and microphone to my computer in 15 minutes, he charged me $140.00dollars. I do not recommend this busines.

Thankfully, I found Neal at Eric's Computer World He came to my house the next day and took control of my PC, cleaned it up, deleted junk, gave me some practical advice, and gave me a clean bill of health when he was finally done. This procedure required me to remove the CPU and its associated CPU cooler. Thermal paste is sued between the heat sink and the CPU.I had no thermal paste and no store int he area carried it. Amazon would've taken a couple of days too many for me. I decided to look for "PC repair' in the Pt Washington, NY, Manhasset, NY areas. I called Henry, who was not in the office, and explained the situation. He immediately offered some thermal paste free of charge and called his assistant back at the office that I was on my way. Gladys was charming and helpful. I had my paste in a minute, returned home, and was able to be my son's hero. What's that worth, folks?
