I needed a mover for the same day. I called rick at 7 am and he answered and kept me in the loop with his schedule. Understandably, especially in the summer, movers are busy. He was able to fit me in and went out of his way to do so. I can't comment on price as it was last minute, but his rates weren't outrageous. read more

I called AA Rick Moving on Saturday Dec. 23rd after the original company I hired came at the wrong time and then never came back (that was Good&Fair Moving). I explained to Rick the terrible situation I was in. He asked me how much the other company had quoted- he said he would match it, though the amount of small things and boxes I had..as well as the new apartment being on the 3rd floor with no elevator...would normally be a higher estimate for them. Not only that, he said he would send FIVE men and a truck. In order to get done faster and STILL at the same price when the other company was 3 men and a truck. AA Rick Moving showed up a little past 8:30 am Christmas Eve morning (A SUNDAY!). They had the apartment emptied out in under an hour. They never once complained that some of my packing- or lack thereof- was bad, as I had run out of boxes, contractor bags and even tape near the end. They put down padding at the entrance to keep most of the trampling of snow to a minimum. At the new apartment, the management was missing or just a skeleton crew for the holiday weekend. The front entrance was like an ice rink. Rick went and BOUGHT rock salt. Up 3 flights of stairs...all this stuff...in about an hour. His workers were the most energetic, polite and happy people you would ever want to come across. They were so good with my things, some coat racks and heavy antique mirrors and shelves I had no wrapping on at all. I was able to at least put up some lights in my window for Christmas Eve. I was able to keep my appointment with an internet installer and the delivery of a new sofa. This company was my CHRISTMAS ANGEL. I am not a religious person, but BLESS THEM!! read more

I Hired A.A. Rick to do a small move to a one bedroom for which we agreed upon the price of $200. I inquired about moving a washer to a relative's house, and I was informed it would cost an extra $100. I declined, paid the $200 and received a written receipt. I'm now being harassed for the extra $100 that was for the washer; not because he moved the washer, but because I "unloaded extra work" on him on the day of the move. Everything that was moved was agreed to on a previous walk through. They did take an extra end table, but I cleared it with two employees and the boss himself. Afterwards, I was waiting for a relative to return from the bank with their pay but the boss was impatient and wanted to leave. I offered to meet my relative halfway to get the money to them quicker, to which the boss replied "I'm going to chase you down" and muttered other threats, accusing me of trying to scam them despite our interaction being pleasant until this point. I ensured I received a written receipt upon payment for services rendered. They were nice guys and did a great job, but the gentleman running the operation is a bully and should not be trusted. Get everything in writing like I did and you won't have an issue. read more

Rick and his crew were a lifesaver! After the mover we had been in regular contact with bailed on us at 230am the night before (!) we were in big trouble. We were moving from one house to another and the process is daunting enough without that predicament. We started calling around and found AA Rick. He and his crew were at our house in 20 mins. Please, no one use this company!! I scheduled them 2 weeks in advance for moving out of my apartment. They told me the day and time they'd be available, I was flexible and worked around their schedule. When they didn't show up at the time he scheduled, I called and asked if he needed directions. His response was "uh we can't do it today, can we do it tomorrow instead". I asked what happened and why it changed and he said "I'm not going to get into it with you". He ended up hanging up on me and left me with no one to move me 2 days before I had to be out of my apartment. read more

My girlfriend and I had AA Rick Moving Company move our 2 bedroom apartment furniture from Tonawanda to Grand Island today. By far they are the BEST movers I have ever used. They were on time. Rick was very short with me on the phone and didn't listen to the scope of the move when I tried to tell him. All he heard was 3bd 1 bath. He quoted me 375 and when he arrived said "we usually walk away from jobs be like these" I had everything packed in boxes stacked in a relatively orderly fashion. he then was muttering when i asked cost that it will be around a $1,000 now. "we'll try to keep it under a grand". the people working with him were nice but he is a terrible owner/leader, was rude, ended up leaving some rugs outside, refused to carry boxes to any rooms, and was an all around D-bag. Any box not going right in the middle of the living room was a horrible pain in the ass for him. 3 of the guys busted it pretty good. Rick and this other guy didn't do jack but was trying to tell me it took 5 guys 8 hours and if it was your friends it would have taken you twice as long. 8 hrs NOT correct it was like 5-6 and my friends would have had this done Much faster and much more organized. The cherry on top was when he overbooked himself and " needed to help a relative" so this move happened in two trips with 5 hours in the middle. This guy is a joke a bully and a total slim bag. Do not trust Him/his quote or anything he says GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

I used AA Rick moving to load a truck for me as I was moving out of state and rented a truck. I was told $350.00 to $400.00 dollars to do the job. When they were don they told me it would be $1000.00 I talked to Rick and settled for $700.00 They loaded the truck and I was off to S. Carolina. When we got here, I had another moving company unload the truck. They asked if I wanted to take pictures of how they loaded the truck because there was a lot of damaged things. I have replaced some of the damaged stuff already which has cost me more than they charged me to move. I called Rick to tell him about all the damage and he said let me talk to my guys and I will get back to you in a few days. (its been almost two weeks now and haven't heard back from him. I call and get their answering machine which says the mail box is full and can not accept messages. I have since call "Call for action and the BBB to report this. My next step is to hire a attorney to get my money back. DO NOT USE THE TO MOVE you will be sorry. read more

I have moved a number of times in my life, and this moving company is by far the worst I have ever hired. The owner is a complete A**hole. They have no regard for the customer's property. To make matters worse, they show up the day of the move with a small trailer attached to a pick-up truck despite the fact that I had a fully furnished 4 BR house. Rick, the manager, actually did a walk through twice before the move! I took out insurance, but Rick never gave me the name of the insurance company. I'm not sure he even has one. Perhaps the worst part of the move other than the additional stress they created was the price gouging at the end. Rick demanded cash before unloading the last of my belongings. He never mentioned this on the phone. He added the numbers on the invoice incorrectly and inflated the total amount by at least a $1000. Then I got into an argument with his schmucky father, who threatened to call the police because I refused to pay the inflated amount. If you are moving your family out of state only go with real professionals, not this crooked outfit. Avoid them like the plague!! read more
