I love AAA, they are probably one of the most efficient business out there. It doesn't matter which Branch you go to, everyone is consistently super courteous. The Company must treat their employees exceptionally well. If DMV employees could only be half as courteous, it would be awesome. I am actually a gold member here, means free towing up to 100 miles if necessary. Which is super nice considering what I just have to pay for annually. Even though I never had to use it, but it's sure a nice peace of mind if I ever have to. The place always look immaculate and organized as well. Today, I was assisted by Les, of course he was super courteous, friendly, professional, efficient, etc etc. If I ever need anything that AAA offers in the future, he informed me that I can come straight to him and he will walk me over to the appropriate Rep. I don't recommend this place if you're trying to get car insurance. I came here & was helped by one of their agents. I agreed to one amount & then when my payment automatically came out of my account which apparently is the only way you can do it, it was $45 more than what I agreed upon. After arguing back & forth & speaking to a manager they lowered my bill. Then all of a sudden 2 months later I get a call that I have a remaining balance on something that was placed on my account which I was explained was the one time payment that I had already made prior & it was pending cancellation of i didn't pay the remaining balance of $57. Super inconsistent, they don't explain things to you correctly & you're constantly hit with new bills that you didn't know about. read more

WORST INSURANCE COMPANY! My car was hit from behind while I was on a traffic stop cz the driver was on his cellphone. He has AAA insurance too & AAA doesn't want to pay up. There's damage to the rear bumper on my car and I had neck pain from the whiplash that stranded me at home for a week. The insurance adjuster came to the house, saw goodwill donation boxes and he used that as an excuse to deny my claim for my neck injury. They did not pay me a dime for my pain & suffering and the days I missed work! I called and spoke to their regional manager who told me flat out that I can sue but I wont win anyways! Is that how theyre supposed to talk to people? Don't ever get this insurance. They're only good for towing! read more

It's my day off and I came to get a title change. Took a very long time, lots of waiting. Must be lunch time for half of the employees because they are way under staffed now. Last week I came and it was a breeze. Inconsistent. No idea of how long I would be waiting. I was given a temporary disabled placard for my upcoming foot surgery. My podiatrist said that I could get it at the DMV or if I had AAA, I could get it there. Because it was a Saturday, I headed to the nearest AAA, which happened to be down the street from the foot doctor. I wasn't sure what time they were open until but since it was just past noon, I took my chances. It turns out, they are open until 2 pm on Saturdays. There was a bit of a line since it was the first of the month and the first Saturday to boot, but my wait wasn't long. I told the person at the front what I was there for and she asked for my AAA card. Then she asked me to wait. My name was called maybe 30 minutes later and I was in and out with my new temporary disabled placard! DMV transactions are cash or check only at AAA, so make sure you have it. My placard was $6 so luckily I had cash on hand. I don't normally carry cash so I was grateful to have it. I've never had to take care of DMV errands at AAA, but I'll be sure to make use of my membership from now on. read more

He checked flat tire to see if repairable (but hole was on side of tire), put on spare and then went the extra mile to help us locate a local tire shop. This is for rep Maggie Victoria-Bravo... I had purchased auto insurance through her trying to get a lower rate. She informed me if I raise deductible to $750 from a $500 deductible, I could lower my rate from my previous auto insurance carrier Allstate. When I got my 1st bill it had a HIGHER RATE that what she told me when I was in her office. My statement also informed me that this would be done thru automatic deductions which she NEVER informed me about. I called her Monday Nov 2nd....she said she would look into it and call me back. She NEVER called me back. I called today their 800 number to cancel and the guy Noe was very helpful. Noe was very understanding of my situation. I give him praise. He looked into this and told me if I wanted a lower rate I would have to raise my deductible to $1000.00. Also if I want to cancel before my 1 year is up I have to pay approx $200.00. You are on a term contract. All I can say is AVOID MAGGIE VICTORIA-BRAVO......She LIES and WILL SAY ANYTHING to make a sale. It's PATHETIC that AAA would hire someone like her. read more

Consumers...Beware... Long story short...I already of auto insurance with AAA, so my fiance and I came in to purchase HOI and was assigned the HOI agent Mario T. (he took payment for the HOI) and he even offered the bulk discount; however, to get the discount we must transfer the primary and secondary holder of the membership and changed the title on the car. After 2 months of hell...got a refund check from one of the policies that we thought we had, called in to the central 800 number, found out out from the manager after he had stayed back to speak to the underwriter, and I quote "there were no paperwork submitted and I have never seen this happen before". "There is nothing that that underwriter or myself could do, because we need the documents that you sign, and its not here". WTF...is exactly what i thought in my head. The manager on the phone was really nice; but the knowledge of service this location has is BS to infinity. If you choose to come here because of the convenience like I did, PLEASE and I URGE you to make sure you get copies of all documents that you sign for and to follow-up with the office manager (if they are ever there) the status of your insurance. If not, you will be driving for days without insurance because no one works on the weekends that is convenient to your schedule and with multiple letters re-stating or cancelling of your policy, you can't keep up with what is accurate. I am really steamed while writing this, so I don't want to go get in more details, so if anyone wants to know more or can relate, feel free to message me. Very loyal and pissed off, and upset customer of AAA. This location should be audited by the corporate office and probably shut down. We had the worst experience with AAA on May 29, 2017. Background: After having a previous horrible experience of our jet ski trailer having a tire problem and them refusing to help us because only our car was covered, which then brought on a $500 towing fee - we purchased additional roadside assistance that covered our boat trailer/RV. This is a family plan. Our son then turned 22 and they required that we give him a separate account - which we did and were paying even more money since we didn't get the benefit of the family plan discount. Situation: Our son is driving back from the River with our Jet Skis on May 29th. And he gets a flat in CA and calls AAA to come help him get the spare off our trailer - he is missing a basic wrench - has EVERYTHING else - spare, 2 jacks, etc. They immediately transfer him through to tow company to pay them for that service direct - not covered by AAA according to them. I am furious - I am paying extra for the trailer coverage - this should be free. I call AAA - the gal I talk to says- "oh yes, he is covered for the trailer, I don't know why they did that, we will call your son to get his location and take care of it". THEY NEVER CALLED HIM! So my 2 children ages 22 and 18 are beside a freeway and AAA never calls them to help them. After waiting an hour, My son gives up and ditches the trailer and drives to Walmart to get the wrench (and had the insight to buy two new trailer wheels in case the spare isn't good). He comes back to trailer and let's me know what's happening. I call AAA again - I am furious again! This rep tells me there is a record of my son's call "which your son canceled" - yah, because you were going to charge him for it!! And they have NO RECORD of my call, where the gal said my son WAS covered for the trailer and she would call my son and get his location. OMG - unbelievable. It's been several hours now and they are still beside the freeway in the dark working on the tire change. I insist they send someone out - as they were supposed to have done 2 hours ago! I pay for this service, we should get it. When tow driver showed up - he was polite, but frankly my son had already changed BOTH tires and was just putting jack in the truck. NONE of this should have happened - AAA was 1. wrong in his coverage 2. negligent in not following through with the second call 3. left my 2 kids beside the road in the dark for almost 3 hours. I was so frustrated with the Artesia location and didn't even really want to go into another location, but I needed to get some things sorted out with my registration I had paid that was mailed to the wrong address. I walked right in and with in 5 min they called me and I had my registration and tags in hand and it cost me nothing! The Artesia location tried charging me and they were so rude! Anyway, my friend Rajan has a AAA membership card, so he called them to come tow my car to Firestone to get my tires replaced. Since he's a member, towing was free. Although when we called them, they said they'd be there in 20-30 minutes, but didn't come til like an hour later, it's okay because the guy was hella nice about it, and seriously apologized a bajillion times! He was really great and really took his time to put my car on the tow truck and took his time to really secure it so it wouldn't roll off when he's on the road. AAA is my longtime insurer but 3 out of 4 experiences have been a complete letdown. I had the displeasure to go through my first AAA tow truck experience a few months back. The driver got lost and the time he lost he made up for by throwing my car on the truck and making a ~60MPH trip, through a residential area after dark, a breakneck pace that didn't stop until he got 7 miles away. On the way to the shop he lost us. By the time we figured out where the car was dropped he had already had time to leave it on the pavement and disappear. This in spite of calling to say we were unable to keep up due to his high-speed driving! The next day one of his cronies called to see if we were happy with our service. I had the odd feeling I was NOT talking to someone affiliated with AAA. It was probably this joker's way of making sure that customer complaints didn't get back to his REAL BOSS (let alone AAA). This tow operator was so reckless I was sure he would do damage to the car if not kill another driver. He tore through busy residential and city streets between where I broke down in Placentia and where the car was towed into Anaheim. Next came our dealings with the AAA authorized repair shop. Turned out my radiator had cracked across the top and that's why my car overheated. I had pulled over immediately so no damage occurred to the head gaskets. However, in replacing the entire radiator it was necessary to disconnect the hoses and refill the coolant. I had the presence of mind to request that the shop replace the thermostat while they had access because it's recommended to replace those every 3 years or so, regardless. But the shop failed to bring to my attention that the radiator hoses (original) were shot. They told us AFTER we paid $500 to replace the radiator and refill the coolant that the hoses need replacement. Replacing them after the fact will entail draining the radiator again and paying to have it refilled! There's no way I would bring my business back to a shop that would tell me this AFTER they've reconnected 12-year-old radiator hoses up to a brand new radiator. Now for my recent experience with my battery dying. I suspect having my engine overheat put too much heat through the entire engine compartment because less than 2,000 miles after the above, my battery was found to have run dry (it just hit 4 years). I call AAA. Not only can they not come out for hours, but when they do I hear this idling sound out on the street and I don't realize that it's next door and it's the AAA provider. Why don't I realize he's already pulled up? Because he doesn't call me for an additional five minutes. At that point he's calling to say he'll be leaving soon, which he did. Apparently it's okay for our AAA battery service to be delayed by another 30 minutes after having to wait three hours in the first place. Not cool. Now for the AAA authorized auto body shop. They didn't reattach my husband's bumper correctly (uneven gaps) after a minor accident. There's wind noise from the passenger door for 6+ years but we stopped coming back to complain because he could never get the bent door hinge fixed right either. That's my spouse's car. When I took my car to get some paint repair, the same shop kept my car for five weeks and had to repaint the trunk, alone, three times! The trunk emblems were entirely askew, making it look like the make/model emblems had been glued on by a six-year-old during school recess. While my car was shuffled between the guy's tiny lot and the public street, something (paint thinner?) dropped onto the top of the rear bumper. I brought it to the attention of the shop owner within 24hrs (we had picked up the car at night and didn't see the spots until full daylight a day later). He claimed it happened at my home. I took a full set of photos before I dropped my car off just because I didn't want any new damage to be blamed on me. Still, the owner wouldn't own up. It's two years later and what looked to be acid-etched splash marks have resulted in the entire clear coat flaking clean off. Now let me share my experience dealing with the Whittier AAA office for an updated title on my car (to reflect married name and current address). Although I had an appointment, it took over an hour, only to be told I couldn't bring my title up to date (to be consistent with my driver's license). Long story short, the title to my car only came back with my name updated but not my address. I haven't bothered to go back and have it fixed. The manager there told me that I could NOT register my car title to the same address that appears on my driver's license. Apparently, though, it's acceptable to have my car registered to an address where I have not lived for 10 years! I'm sure the cops would like that. Can we say "poorly trained"? Automobile Club of Southern California doesn't do a good job vetting their service providers. They're great if you lock your keys in the car. Not so great if you need anything else. read more

My last visit really made me question my memebership. I came in on Saturday to swap out my license plates so I waited in line finally it was my turn well no hello or welcome just what do you need?! 45 minute wait to get new plates? Fine, I try to find seating in this overcrowded place now I know how sardines feel. The longer I waited and longer a saw an employee not helping anyone made me more pissed off its not like you have a waiting area overcrowded with people with nothing better to do on a Saturday than stare at some stranger while waiting to be desperately assisted. Finally they call my name what relief and the same thing no hello just what do you need and I told her where is the customer service and she said "I said hello" I said I'm standing right in front of you and no you didn't. I asked her for a complaint card she said she didn't have any..so I go off into why am I waiting an hour here when I could go to the DMV and experience the same crappy service at least I know to expect it there and the people sitting could hear and I'm sure they were thinking the same thing I seriously question my memebership and insurance I have my cars, life and home. I was helped by Patty Yocum for my car registration from out of state (i had to go back to arizona just to have signatures and dealer to fill out for the application) and they lost the application paper when sending it into the dmv and had the nerve to leave me a voicemail to say i took it back and i have to fill it out again if i couldnt find it! This review is for AAA corporate office where their 800 number goes. My car breaks down so I called AAA to get it towed to the dealer. I didn't go with the tow truck but showed up at the dealer once the car was fixed. I got it back with a cracked windshield. It wasn't a rock chip that turned into a crack but clean crack from bottom to top left. Dealer said the car was brought in with the crack. Called the tow company and they deny it was cracked when it was dropped off. They blame the dealer lifted the car incorrectly. Called AAA to mediate but they said it's not their problem. The tow companies are independent contractors and AAA does not get involved nor is it responsible. That shows the true value of AAA name brand. Thank God I didn't buy life insurance from them, something that's really important when needed. read more
