The kabab meat didn't seem fresh and it was cold after I told them to make sure it's heated thoroughly. Also they charge $2.50 per kebab. You can go to Lahori Kabab (on Lex) and get fresh kabab's made in their tandoor and for only $2 Doh! The ladu's looked really fresh on the counter. The one I got was an old pale crispy ladu. NASTY. I break into the ladu and the center was more the normal color. I was tricked and served an old one. Threw it all away. Save yourself the risk and find another place. Really disappointed that I won't be using this place again.

Their inventory always seems abundant and I've yet to come here and not find something on my grocery list. Most of their best selection is through fruit and one of the better times to come is during weeknights where there is less pedestrian traffic. The people here are super nice and know how to pick out quality goods. One time I was here and the woman refused to give me something that she knew was beat up or outdated. She later offered to sell me a similar fruit at 1/2 the cost. Good customer service and fresh produce are among the many reasons why I'm a repeat customer.

If you dine at Vietnamese restaurants, they offer salty plum soda at $5 a pop. Koon Chun is the brand the restaurants use. They sell the plums on Amazon for $20 for two jars. Save some money and go to Chinatown. Good prices but you need to shop around.

I was somewhat annoyed that they dropped the prices after i got it because i could have definitely saved some money from that time. They do let you sample but i will say that it is a slight sanitary concern to know that everyone is dipping their hands into the buckets and they are also using that batch to sell to others. Maybe I am just a little germaphobic, but you dont know where a lot of the hands have been so it is a little concerning along with the containers not being covered. At lease from my experience, service was always pretty nice but i think their english is a little limited so when foreigners do come by, they do struggle a bit which i do feel bad about. I think i would just have to see how their set up goes in the future if I were to consider buying from them again. I dont really think they make their products themselves, so I am curious where the products come from. I really hope they arent just repackaging other brands.
