This is located on Thornwood Drive near the corner of Winfield Dr. They have a nice sized car park. If you want to get car insurance, AAA has to be one of the best insurance companies. They also offer towing (which covers the driver no matter which car they are in), also home owners insurance and CEA earthquake insurance. They have convenient offices where you can get maps, tour books, also has a mini DMV (where you can pickup license plates, renew, etc). I have been with them for over 12 years and very happy. This AAA was the nicest I've ever been to in my 20 years of membership. From the front desk to the notary. A warm welcome at the start, the DMV portion kindly answered questions about out of State paperwork needed and as I waited for notary, at least 3 AAA employees approached me asking if I had been helped. I never been to any triple A because my car insurance company is all states. But today triple A really made my day. And I decided to use triple A as my insurance company after I finish the half year contract with all states. I accidentally left my car key in the back trunk. And my car was locked, I went to the toyota service centre to cut a new key but it didn't work. So I called all states( my insurance company) they said they are going to charge me $60 since I don't have a road side insurance. And it takes at least an hour to get the tool man to my house. So my friend who has a triple A insurance called them for me and triple came within 10mins. They helped me to opened my car and it's for free. I love triple A! Nice service nice company! read more

First, this web site doesn't recognize the AAA branch at 5291 Prospect Rd in San Jose, CA and this is where we had our problems. We attended our third Trafalgar tour seminar and within the proper number of days we gave our agent the go ahead to charge our credit card on file the amount required to obtain and hold a $400 discount on our next tour. Went to office off Capitol Expressway. A friendly lady initially checked me in and told me someone would be calling me. . When my name was called, I could not see who was calling me from where I was sitting. I started to get up and asked if someone had called me. A lady behind the glass counter said she called me, she did not bother to get up from her chair to alert me that she was the one calling me. I greeted the woman, did not get a friendly reply, no reply for that matter. I formed her that I needed to do a title transfer. I gave her the papers that were required. I also informed her that I completed a partial transfer of ownership online with the DMV and I just needed to bring in original paperwork. She said she had no idea what I was talking about, and stated there was nothing online. She shoved the papers under the glass window back at me and stated the form I gave her (print out from DMV) was just something else and not needed. I thought ok that's fine. When she glanced at the registration slip, she saw right away that a signature was missing. I told her that was my fault because I didn't know to have my mom sign in that specific area. She proceeded to tell me I had to have it smogged before I even come in again. From what I researched online, a smog test is not needed if the car was a gift (I didn't know that until after I left the office, but she should have known that if she read my paperwork). I obviously couldn't do anything that day, so I thanked her (she did not reply) that's fine whatever. I felt that she was unfriendly and had poor customer service skills. I will not go there again, I will not even recommend any family or friends to that office or at least not deal with her. (I failed to get her name). Maybe she had a bad day, you never know what other people are going through. So I guess I'll shrug this off, but I still need to say something. I've had a lot of bad things happen to me in my life and I have never exhibited rude or mean behavior to anyone and I'm a nurse! I needed to get a new car insurance plan, and was veeeeeeery skeptical that by going to AAA, I was simply asking to get ripped off. Not true! Stopped by around 5 (30 minutes before posted closing time, didn't help my suspicions) and was promptly greeted by the receptionist and was asked to take a seat while she paged an agent for me. Chris Kissell came to greet me and lead me to his cubical to get down to insurance buying business. He asked me all the usual questions and within minutes quoted me a rate I believed could not be beat. Even if it could have been, I was ok spending that amount of money on car insurance and signed on the spot. He was very personable, not pushy and really knew his stuff. My AAA Representative was Hieu...I am not sure if she still works there but now my AAA rep is Trish. I am originally a Norcal resident but moved to L.A. One day while searching for car insurance at various insurance agencies my brother recommended I switch over to AAA with Hieu. The only reason why I deducted a star is because every-time I call...for instance I called 3 different agents, I think one was an assistant, but every time I call I would get directed to VM. Granted, Trish called me back within a few hours and took care of my requests. But I did have to call the AAA corporate as a precaution to get my requested information emailed first b/c I wasn't sure when she was going to return my call. Another reason why I deducted that star was because I never ever receive any mail from AAA, no copies of my insurance cards or nothin! so that is definitely something I have to look into. But, overall, everything was taken care of and they are very friendly! read more

I've been a member of AAA for a little over 5 years now as a "PREMIER" member knowing that being this level of membership gave me some advantages, Benefits and privilege over their regular membership like having more distance in towing services. One regular day, I had a problem with my truck transmission and it requires a 60miles towing. I don't feel like it's safe to drive my truck to my reliable and dependable auto mechanic. So I called AAA like 8am being confident and self assured this company can help me for the first time with towing service after being PREMIER member for more than 5 years. 1130AM and still no sign of AAA towing truck. I called in to follow up the status of my request. The operator told me that they already have received my request and they are still looking for the towing service who can can handle 60 miles. I mean it's only 60 miles and as a PREMIER member I am entitled to more than that. How can you offer a 200 miles or even 100 miles to your member who's paying extra to get this kind of benefit if you CANNOT even provide a decent towing service for 60 miles. I don't know how the company is promising a lot and can not even provide one simple towing service for PREMIER member who just ask for the first time in more than 5 years of their service. Please explain this and who ever want to be a member of AAA OR want to avail their insurances and other services. I hope this message will reach the top management and can do some major changes in their service and policies. I recently broke my foot and needed to get a temp handicap placard so sent my sister into this office to get the placard on a Fri. She came out and said because there was something corrected on the form they could not accept it and we needed a new form from the doctor. So we truck over to the doctor and get a new form, go back to AAA at rush hour now and they tell us the computers are down - ugh! Mon AM I call the office to make sure the computers are up and let them know why I am coming in and they said come in now as there are no lines. So we get ourselves in the car again - which takes time with crutches- and head over to AAA. Once again my sister comes out furious - now they don't have any placards. Ridiculous. Couldn't they have told me that in the phone. They now said we needed to go to the office on Cherry Ave. So we head over to the other office and got great courteous service. I will never use the Thornwood office again. They should be ashamed of themselves for making people with injuries or greater disabilities run around like that as it is not easy getting around on crutches and some people don't have any help so need to do it themselves. I have been a member and policy holder for years. My agent Hosanna is very knowledgeable with AAA and her competitors as an agent. Contrary to other comment I feel she is a great agent. If you want a cheap low coverage policy she is not one to sell you one, she cares for her customers and wants to ensure that when you are driving out on that road that you are well is insured and protected as long as you qualify with AAA and go through the application process. I don't live in the area but make it an effort to stop by so that I can have a policy review and to make payments. This office is well situated near freeway and shopping centers so stopping by for all their services even if they are far away from my home; the trip is well worth it. read more

The fact that they have a mini DMV in their building is just the best thing ever. We were done with that in about 10 minutes then went upstairs to see my agent Daniel L. who added my son on to my policy and the whole experience was no more than 30 minutes. OMG...to be able to say a towing experience is awesome, smooth and even fun is unimaginable....and I've been towed a lot due to my lack of spatial perception...even have tire insurance! From Theresa taking my call - professional and honestly interested in helping me out, even though my new auto was not in their data base - she googled it! To Bryan, the kindest most efficient hard worker/tower ever - my car needed a flat bed (Hybrid Accord Touring with "run flat tires - NOT!!), and he finessed the job and made it look easy. I was stressed, and he made me laugh! From the moment I called, I was towed to the dealership in less than 2 hrs (that includes the paperwork at Honda!), even though there is not a lot of flat bed trucks. He arrived 20 minutes BEFORE the time they gave me. BTW, in Florida my daddy had the "supreme" Cadillac Star towing....After 2 hrs of waiting, I called AAA who showed up in less than 30 minutes, even though it wasn't my car. That's why I opt out of Dealership roadside service...how can you do better than this? read more
