10-7-22. Toilets plugged up and would not drain. seemed like a septic tank issue. Chris Vitari and a helper came out, located the tank, found a problem with a blocked baffle, cleared it and pumped the tank. Quick response time, diagnosis and partial solution. Suggested cleaning the inside pipes, via the clean out. Had the technician Shane come out and clean the pipes. Like a Roto Rooter on steroids. Seemed to do the job. Again, fast and accurate diagnosis and fix. This is the best plumbing business I have dealt with in my time in Rock Hill area. Not cheap but no surprises. read more

I had AAA diagnose my 8 year old water heater that had suddenly stopped heating. The repairmen arrived (nearly 2 hours after their scheduled time), asked a few questions, evaluated the tank and recommended one of two courses of action. They told me they couldn't know why the tank stopped, "could be a power surge". They pushed the button to reset it; so it was now on, but they could not know for how long. First, they quoted a replacement price of $3,593.00. This is replacing a standard 50 gallon electric tank. The price was double the quote I ultimately received from a competitor. The second option was to "rebuild" the tank which meant replacing both thermostats and heating elements. They cautioned me against "spending too much on an 8-year old tank", which makes sense given their expected life. Their quote: $689.00. I told them I'd think about it and get back to them. I paid $89 for the service call (their sales pitch and a button click). Both prices were much higher than I expected so I researched a bit. I learned that this is a common issue. In short, one of the two thermostats malfunctioned, the water didn't turn off at 120 degrees, and a safety mechanism turned the tank off when it got too hot. The likely remedy: replace both thermostats. You might as well replace the heating elements while you are at it. I went to Lowes, bought two universal heating elements and thermostats and the tool to remove the elements. Total cost: $40. It took me about 2 hours to drain the tank and replace the parts. It was super-easy, though I'd never done it before. It would take a pro an hour or less. The parts would have cost them less than I paid at a retail box store. Again, their quote, $689.00. Clearly their angle is to give you an inflated price to repair, caution you against spending too much on an older unit, and hope you buy the new (over-priced one). It's a tactic that probably works enough to make it their business model. I know not everyone has the interest in learning how to diagnose and do a repair on their own. I did it out of necessity as I didn't have hundreds/thousands of dollars laying around to give to AAA. I rarely write reviews, and never negative ones, but I hope I can save my neighbors some time and money in hopes you'll find a plumber who truly wants to resolve your issue, rather than just sell you over-priced equipment. Hopefully you'll find someone who would take the same steps with you that they would a family member in the same position. read more

I had an issue with my septic pump and couldn't use my water and was honestly freaking out, within hours AAA city plumbing was able to send out Shane, Parker and Jesse on a Friday, late in the day, on a holiday weekend! They fixed the issue without a problem and at super reasonable price. I can't say enough good things. I would be very cautious of this company. My entire house is gas, from the grill to the hot water heater and my heating system. They came out to quote an 8 foot line so I could have a gas stove in my kitchen and it was $3600. This would work 2021. York natural gas said they could do it for $600. read more

We called at 9:30 am for service on Saturday June 1st. They kept calling to let us know the service tech was running late. He didn't show up until 10:30pm. That's 13 hours later. He said he was really tired and asked if he could just cap the leak off and call it good. Five minutes later he was done and charged me $200.00. He also gave me an estimate to re-plumb my entire home due to faulty fittings. He quoted me $9,100.00. Thank fully I got a second opinion. The job is done at $5,600.00. I made my appointment about a week in advance, then, two days before, I had to adjust the appointment day. They were very accommodating and rescheduled for my next available time. The day of the appointment, I was called around 8:15 to confirm that a technician would arrive between 9 and 10 am. Frank arrived in the promised window of time. I explained briefly, that I'd like to create a half bath in an existing closet. Within minutes, Frank took all of the current plumbing into consideration and was able to quote the project. Luckily, the closet is in a very central location and neighbors and kitchen and master bath. My parents have used AAA City Plumbing several times, so I know they do great work. I will still do a little research and estimate gathering prior to selecting a contractor, but overall, pleased with the initial experience. read more

I had a water leak, a 3/4 inch nipple had rusted through. I oked them to go ahead and change the gate valve with a ball valve. Good was quality work in less than an hour. The price for one hour of work and 30 dollars in parts. 469 dollars. VERY expensive in my opinion. If you don't mind overpaying great company to call. I will not use them again. read more

Had two toilets installed in my home that is a fairly new construction. I called AAA very pleasant to speak with and schedule a time for a quote I explained it's 2 new toilets I purchased at lowes to replace the two that were put I when I built the home 6 years ago. Just wanted nicer adult size toilets no issues with others advised no pipe, drainage issues etc. still insisted on making a visit just for a quote. $100 but if I hired them this would be used towards the install. I agreed. Came out quoted 600 which was outrageous since it took him less than 30 minutes to install these new seats that were already sitting there waiting on him. But whatever I agreed to pay and I did. Less than a month one of the toilets started to pull from the floor. I called back and he came tightened and said all good. Well not good it did it again so i tightened it and then 2 months later my husband tightened it and still coming loose. I then called back to AAA so find out the installer no longer was there and they seen the work orders for me but said they need to send out an installer for another quote....I flipped they were charging for another quote to fix what they had never fixed the first times. The owner resolved and sent a competent installer to fix the issue. Not other problems. It would have been nice if the office could have made the continued service to go smoother read more

Nobody shows up. You have to call them to find out why you're standing there waiting. If you want to make an appointment, work your whole family's morning around the probability of having no water until your leak is repaired and end up getting totally blown off on your only day off work you can be there to meet a plumber, enjoy that. Won't call again even if I wake up swimming. What kind of business can't maintain a schedule and make phone calls if there are changes? Normally not one that survives. Edit: (If 'constant contact' means that no one shows up and I CALL YOU at 9:38 and 10:11 about a 9a appointment, then sure.) This job included resetting a toilet and replacing a cracked T fitting in our cross base. The work took one hour. so we got a quote yesterday on the phone to have a toilet replaced in our bathroom, we agreed on the quote and had them set up to come today. when the service tech got here he comes in and tells my daughter a whole different price she says no that's not what we where quoted he charged us $91.67 then says he is going to go pull the call for the quote. He leaves and the manager calls my son in law and says if we come back out we will take the service fee off the bill so he comes and replaces the toilet which was already here and charges us $282.44 more for less than an hour worth of work. He said the girl that quoted us the price was new and mis quoted. That is not my fault that they have not trained there staff correctly! I will not recommend this company to anyone! I feel like the technician took advantage of the fact my daughter was here by herself and he could get away with charging whatever he felt even though we already had a quote! I had a clogged drain to the septic tank. Frank from AAA came out did a great job of fixing the clog. Not only did he fix the clog, he found a cracked water line that I did not know about. I contacted AAA Plumbing because my AC company found a rusted out drain line under my house and it was causing my crawl space to stay flooded. The AC company took pictures and showed me the leak. This company came to my home and informed me that they found it and it would be $650 to repair. I told them to fix it. The plumber spent 30 to 45 minutes under the house and was done. I gladly paid the $650 because I thought the repair was done! I went to work and returned home 6 hours later only to find my crawlspace flooded again. The same problem! I contacted AAA, in which I was informed that they were closed and the work done 6 hours ago had nothing to do with my flooding. They sent the after hours technician around 5:30 pm and he refused to even look under the house and repair the problem. His first comments to me were "We want to go home to our families" and "I want to get paid." The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life! The after hours guy was super rude and obnoxious! He got in his truck and left, leaving my crawlspace flooded and water continuing to flow from the Real Leak. Some guy contacted me claiming to be the owner, apologizing for his technicians behavior. He claimed he would have a truck at my home, the first thing in the morning. The same guy from the original "REPAIR" went under the home and said it would be another $7500 to fix the "Original Leak." I contacted their office for financial information, but my wife said to get a second quote, in which I did! The second company comes and goes straight to the leak and repairs it. If you can avoid it, PLEASE DO NOT UTILIZE THIS COMPANY! It is a MONEY PIT looking to take your hard earned cash! Full Spectrum Plumbing Services (803) 366-1200 did the second repair! They were courteous, on time and reasonably priced! they actually fixed what they were called for! AAA Plumbing is the worst company in Rock Hill!
