The agents who answer the phone -- the only ones you are allowed to speak to -- don't know insurance well AT ALL. I've been given so much misinformation over the years, it's incredible. Why didn't I leave? Because their quotes were lower. But I will tell you this, given all the MISTAKES they have made, it's likely customers are under or over insured. The training they provide their agents/customer service reps is laughable. Forget about talking to anyone who understands a Condo master policy -- PFA -- in relationship to your own coverage. Oh, and I was told, before I flew to Ohio to possibly purchase a nice used RV, that they could cover it and was given a quote. After the purchase, I immediately called AAA to only find out the agent who told me that was DEAD WRONG. I had to scramble to find a company and ended up paying a lot more than I was quoted by the DEAD WRONG AAA agent. How can they give you a quote for a policy they don't every write?!? AAA Northeast insurance offers decent prices AND THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, LEAST KNOWLEDGEABLE AGENTS/REPS IN THE INDUSTRY. Buyer beware! You might spend too much over years -- as I have for coverage I didn't need because of my building's PFA -- or you might end up underinsured because they don't know what they are talking about. If I had a dollar for every minute I was put on hold by an agent who didn't know the answer to my questions so they could ask a supervisor (who often didn't know either and whom you are not allowed to be connected to), I would be a millionaire! I went to AAA Branch to get some maps, tour booklet and traveler's checks. When I spoke to the Assistant Branch Manager, I mentioned that I was renting a car thru Enterprise for my trip to Florida. She suggested I sign up for Hertz. I was very skeptical, even though I had tried for an hour to reach Enterprise to confirm my car reservation. The cost to rent a Kia at Enterprise was $205.00 for 5 days. However, she persisted and reserved a car online for $171.76 and added a Coupon of $35.00. I was still skeptical because I wasn't sure if the Online reservation would work. In any case, the Assistant Manager recommended I use their phone to call Hertz directly. I did and then asked what the price was and they quoted $182.00 instead of 171.76. I told them that Triple AAA had a coupon. He asked for the Coupon Code, and the Assistant Branch Manager spoke to Hertz and gave them the code. Then, after she had completed the Online Reservation, she called Hertz directly again, and asked if they could send an email directly to me confirming the price. They did immediately. She printed the Confirmation for the Car Rental and price. Due to the Assistant Branch Manager's extra efforts and taking the time to call Hertz directly, I saved approx $34.00 and upgraded from a Kia to a Corolla for less the price. In addition, she recorded my AMTRAK Guest Card in the reservation, so that I could earn AMTRAK points. Because of the Assistant Branch Manager's willingness to contact Hertz directly in Florida, she saved me time, money and the frustration of trying to reserve a car online. Honestly having this company as my insurance is a heavily unpleasant experience when dealing with being towed. I've dealt with multiple occasions with I requested road side assistance and had to wait a minimum of 3 hours to hopefully even get an update on the request. Then I am constantly told that I was high priority for a tow but never truly feel like a priority at all when dealing with towing with this company. Truly feels as if my monthly payments are going to waste because when I need service from this company I get unpleasant and less than mediocre service no matter the issue. To make matters worse they increased my insurance to still provide helpless service. Whether I am stuck on the side of the highway in the freezing cold or just a few minutes away from my towing location, thus meaning no matter the situation getting towed is a whole day process, with there being no real understanding that someone in stranded, even in some cases stuck in a bad area, this company seems to make little effort or urgency to aid you in your time of need. read more

Discriminatory, rude, non accommodating, power tripping, callus and all around brutal bullies who work there. It used to be you get a letter in the mail that your license would expire and you bring your ss card or passport and you get your license. Now they have a messy set up with rules that are too rigid to wrap your head around. Unless you want to deal with discriminatory staff who will show you disrespect and disregard - come here. I hope they shut down. There's people I know who worked here and were forced to quit because of the absolutely ruthless and bullying behavior. For people who hate their lives and enjoy stressing people out, this job is perfect for them to gain a false ego boost. You all are what's wrong in this day and age. Unacceptable. read more

My college aged daughter was in town for a very brief time and between other commitments had about 2 hours to get her license renewed. The RMV online form process indicated that certain AAA offices could do the renewal and I suggested she try that as the RMV lines can be so long. She did and it took all of ten minutes. Why only four stars? I called Framingham to make sure the service was actually available and simply could not get through to speak with a representative. I finally called our local office (Acton) and they were able to confirm that she could go to Framingham. (the Acton Office is awesome!) read more

I bought a new car last week and got my financing through AAA. The experience was my best ever when financing an auto. Not only was the rate amazing, Marc Hebert, the loan officer, was exceptional. He was thorough, diligent, extremely professional and pleasant to work with. Dealer's can often be difficult when they learn that you've obtained financing elsewhere, and this was one of those cases. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that there were some technical glitches that made everyone in line wait without frequent updates for over 15 mins while there seemed to be other counters/computers that could presumably have been used in this time. read more

I put in a call for a simple jump start for a dead battery at 8:04, on a Monday night, no traffic, slow night. At 8:26, I look online and they say they'll be there in 37 minutes, so it looks like a full hour at a quiet time, but that would have been tolerable. At 9:00 they tell me it will take until 9:50, so almost TWO HOURS for a simple jumpstart on a slow Monday night with no traffic. read more

Might as well have gone to the RMV to get my "Real License"...Waited an hour and a half while one or two people helped out everyone in the building. My entire wait I was witness to a four employee boondoggle taking place in the waiting area. When I finally finished the process I left feeling aggravated and bad for the only two employees actually working. What a mismanaged operation. read more

I went in to enquire about travel tips to New York as my family was visiting from South Africa. The member service counselor that helped me was very friendly and gave me all sorts of info to read. I went back a few days later and booked my hotel in New York for a great price. I will make AAA my first stop from now on, for great deals, when planning a trip like this again. read more

I went to renew my license since I could not renew online; picture was old. The AAA rep was very patient and friendly. I completed renewal form online with RMV, printed and brought it with me. I had my picture retaken, eyes examined and out in less than 10 minutes. Much more pleasant experience than waiting at RMV. read more

I had my license renewed there. The young woman working the counter was very efficient and patient. She even offered to take multiple photos! I went towards end of day during the week and there was no line. A wonderful experience especially compared to RMV. I highly recommend this branch of AAA. read more

After experiencing a slow RMV computer and even slower response attempting to renew my auto license I gave up that route and went straight to Framingham AAA.
