Bought a gold necklace for my wife's birthday, but as they did not have her size they said it would…read moretake 4-6 weeks for delivery, which we were fine with. However after leaving we were called and told that the delivery would take as long as 4 months. I called and requested that they refund 70% of the purchase price as a 30% deposit would be sufficient. The salesman, David, was very kind and understanding, but said the decision would have to come from the owner. The owner called me the next day, and I explained that the quoted time frame was changed and that there was no need to hold all the funds for 4 months, she said NO. After going back and forth she agreed to a refund, but said that I would be charged 3%. After more BS I said forget it, and called my credit card for a refund (which they obliged given that there was no delivery of the jewelry, and wouldn't be any for months). The lack of perspective and horrible customer service received by the owner tells me all I need to know about this business, which is to stay away. Her attitude, and constant sell sell sell at all cost attitude not only cost her a sale, but also a great customer. How you treat your customers is important, and looking at their horrible YELP reviews, I feel that I dodged a bullet. So why 2 stars instead on 1, because the salesman was kind, courteous and respectful. They should take a lesson from hin on how to treat customers, better yet they should let him run the business!

Incredibly helpful, local family-owned company. Worth the cost. Since our engagement, I had dreamed of an heirloom design but with a personal twist (a flower from his home country). I searched on insta and etsy and was told it was either impossible to personalize or quoted HUGE fees. We even went to a number of big-name companies in Ala Moana and other locations and were told repeatedly it wasn't possible. When we finally went into Gold Mart, it was with the intention to settle. Thank god, we mentioned this to Lily who IMMEDIATELY stated, "We can do that!" She showed us a number of options, but we never felt pressured to buy. In fact, she encouraged us to go have dinner and then come back. Each time we met with one of this family owned company (4 times in person, 1 over the phone) we were given helpful advice that was never pushy or demanding. My SO even felt that we could have backed out at the last minute, because this family wanted us to be happy with our purchase more than making a purchase. When we finally received our rings, we ended up with hugs from Lily because we were so happy with the design and she was happy for us. This is a family company that's been here since I was a kid. Don't expect perfection, but come for the Aloha and the care for your interests.
