Admittedly, I had no idea there were a bunch of DMV related things you can get done here. I'm going to chalk up not knowing due to me not being a member. On the upside, you don't need to be a member to avoid a DMV visit. So anyway. I'm leaving for Italy in a couple of months and found out that I need to get an International Driving Permit to be able to drive the rental car I got. Thanks to Google, I was informed that this can be obtained from AAA. I printed out the form online, filled it out, got the 2 passport photos and moseyed over after work to this location since it's the closest one to my work. I didn't have an appointment and was kind of lost when I got there. I lined up towards the back since it was the only spot where people were waiting aside from the waiting area. After a couple of minutes, It occurred to me that I was in the wrong spot so I went to the lady out front and she told me I needed to be helped by someone else. She took my info, I sat down and was called less than 5 minutes later. The whole process was a breeze. I thought I was going to drop off the application and pick it up after they processed it. Turns out they do everything in one visit. The guy who helped me did everything at once and handed me my driving permit. Like that. What a bummer that this place has so many bad reviews because I had an entirely different experience. Everyone were super helpful. There was a few of us there after closing hours, but they made sure everyone was helped. read more

I popped in without an appointment at 4:30 in hopes of squeezing in to get a passport photo and application and I had a brief 15 min wait and paid about $10 and left with application, passport photos and a map for my next vacation, the rep also gave the child I had with me a child's map with the states on it - very fun and cute! read more

I went in to get my Registration renewed and the systems were down with no indication when they'd be up. I have called the Thousand Oaks branch 3 times to check, left on hold for a long time, then transferred to voice mail, left a voice mail with the promise of a return call in 24 hours, never happened. I worked for AAA in Century City and Santa Monica years ago. This kind of bad service would never have been tolerated. read more

I've only been here a couple times. The first time, I waited in line roughly 5-10 mins. My car registration had gotten lost in the mail, and I needed a new one. They were happy to help. I had already paid roughly $200 to the dmv and already had it renewed, however, they still charged $20 for the replacement. While the dmv told me it'd be free, that was obviously not the case. The lady that was taking care of me told me to run across the street to the 711, pull out $20 from the ATM, then come back and I wouldn't have to wait in line again. Upon doing so and returning (literally less than 5 mins later), the lady had mysteriously disappeared to lunch. Needless to say, I had to wait in line again. As this was on my lunch break, I was forced to leave with no resolution. I came back yesterday, and while the line went quick, the new lady that helped me (longish red/brown curly hair) was very rude and unpleasant. She obviously doesn't know about customer service, as she treated me disrespectfully and even laughed at me at one point. How rude! If you want to keep your customers, you need to treat them well. I signed up for mature driver course, where I paid $15. It was suppose to be an 8 hour course. Wrong! It was an 11 hour course. I was not allowed to advance even if I finished a section on time. Spoke with AAA to submit my certificate. They promised a 2% decrease in insurance rates, which In my case would have been about $45 per year. Well, I received a statement from AAA, stating that my yearly policy would decrease by $18! Go an 11 hour course where I paid $15, and received $18 off, that leaves $3 for 11 hours= $.27 per hour of my time. Beware, seniors! This is a trap! Start looking for another policy! read more

Your employees and their families are subjected to this virus every day that you keep your employees coming into work. Your Palm Springs office gave their employees two hours to get their computers and items together to work from home. WHAT is wrong with your office. Your office can do exactly what Palm Springs office did! Keep there EMPLOYEES AND FAMILIES SAFE. Some of you may not feel the need to worry! You may not have a child at home or a parent, spouse, sibling with a serious compromised immune system. SOME OF YOUR EMPLOYEES DO! PROTECT THEM! SEND YOUR EMPLOYEES HOME TO WORK! All the money in the world isn't worth subjecting any one person to this virus COVID -19. You can screen all you want at the door.. this means nothing. People lie. You can ask if they traveled outside the US. Upon entering you facility.. What is that going to do. NOTHING! SEND YOUR EMPLOYEES HOME TO KEEP SAFE! Take precautions and help all of us. Omg just had the best experience. Lately, service at different places I've been has been horrendous. Not today!!!!! I went to AAA to get a trip tik which being a customer for over 20 years I've never done. Chris assisted me and he was so thorough and knowledgeable. He ensured I understood the different routes and gave extra maps for stops from here to Florida ensuring the places we wanted to stop at were designated. Unethical sales tactics. Quoted me lower prices that kept increasing little by little. Also I was told I payed in full, but about a month later received a notice of cancellation on the policy if I didn't pay an extra $163. The sales agent also added a discount to my policy that he fully knew I didn't qualify for. When it got rejected my insurance premium went higher. I cancelled the policy and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Run from this location and do not look back. I called in May to include a new car, seemed easy at first. Hazel even offered me free card for my kids in case they are with others that do not have AAA. Then she charged me $40 for each, when I said no she argued with me why did I try to sign both up when only get one free. They again try to charge me for me kids in September. She then forgets to send my signed paperwork in and my insurance cancels in July. I call in August and get Raynelle who tells it is ok and everything will be fine and go back like it never was cancelled. I was in such a panic of not having insurance for a month, I believed her. Since I was being told everything was being reinstated I did not look over my paperwork, my mistake! When they reinstated they reran my driving record found I had a ticket so they increased my rate. So not only did I not have insurance in July they went back and had me pay more for the privilege. When I question all this, Raynelle emails me I had the time from July to September to review and shop around for new insurance. She actually said in July I had the time to review the contract I already signed, that they incompetently misplaced, and look for new insurance anticipating they would go back in September and charge me more for July. Wow! Had they just been upfront I would not have been so upset, but the way they went about everything was so underhanded. If you go with this location be sure to check everything and do not believe anything they are saying to you. read more

contacted AAA customer service to get assistance per the letter I received when they informed me they were dropping our coverage for our Condo/Earthquake insurance because of our second claim from an un related water leak to the first. I called to get assistance with getting another insurance company they could recommend as recommended on their letter they sent us as per Ca. law. The over Caffeinated lady I spoke with informed me they have no one to recommend because insurance companies are dropping Ca. and kept telling me I don't understand what she was saying (I did but she offered no answer to my question) and wouldn't stop talking talking over me & interrupting to get a word in. after she said for the third time that just didn't understand and rudely I might add, I finally said, "wow your kind of Snippy" after which she said "I'm going to disconnect this call now because I don't want anyone to speak to me this way"...lol 20 years with AAA for everything and treated like a peasant. If she worked for me and I heard this recorded conversation, she would be dropped like a filter full of used coffee and filed in the round bin. read more

I have had AAA since I've moved to California and used it for the first time because I got a flat in my boyfriends truck. The tech arrived within 35 minutes. They have a cool app that you can track them like Uber. Chris was my tech and a nice guy. He dove right in and changed the tire in 10 minutes.. put on the spare and I'm off to get the tire repaired.. maybe my boyfriend will never know!!! read more

I've been an Auto Club member for 37 years and have always had a good experience with their emergency roadside service. That changed last weekend. While driving about 75 miles from home, my car suddenly shook violently and the engine shut down. I had to push the car out of a very busy intersection and into the driveway of a luxury townhome development. I called Auto Club for emergency service, and advised them that I was blocking a private driveway and couldn't stay there for too long. Auto Club agents repeatedly lied to me as to when a tow truck would arrive, and then lied about other issues as well. 6 hours later, I still had no tow, and, because it was now late at night on a Saturday night, I couldn't find an alternative. After 6 hours of horrible service from Auto Club, I was able to start the car and drive home, despite the car not driving well. I had to drive surface streets only as I could not drive faster than 45 mph, but I finally made it home. Auto Club proved to me that they cannot be relied on in an emergency. Since that time, I've been viewing one horror story after another about Auto Club's "Emergency Roadside Assistance." They aren't paying the contractors enough to make it worth their time, and they're employing agents that are ok with lying to customers experiencing an emergency. I am not going to renew my membership. Auto Club isn't what it used to be. read more

Generally a fan. My most recent visit had the downfall of me being checked in but not actually getting into the system so I waited and watched as people who came in after me got helped. After that was resolved I was helped quickly. This location usually isn't too busy. Staff is friendly and they have a decent selection of travel books. read more

I agreed and signed paperwork starting 1 of July Next day at 7 pm she called me that price will be $317 more I said then please cancel it At June 30 I emailed her to make sure she canceled it and have prove that I request for cancelation July 2 I emailed again how I get my refund She respond back you get refund check After that I never received anything from them until yesterday phone call from Aaa collection that I owed them $205 I said I didn't get my refund yet not even bill from you OMG I went to office and talked to her what's going on She told me I don't know we have early cancellation And felt cancellation I go what that mean do I get my refund ? said she e mail her manager to look at it I called my credit card and put stop payment on it. can you believe that today is August 14 and I don't know what the he'll is going on Only think I can say it was really bad experience Never ever go back again read more

I cannot begin to describe how amazing my experience was at this AAA location. I needed to register a new (to me) car that was previously owned by someone else. I arrived close to closing time. George greeted me with a smile and when he patiently waited for me to find my checkbook, I realized it wasn't with me. He held onto my paperwork encouraged me to run home and come back and even stayed a few minutes late just to ensure that I could accomplish a weekend task that would have made my life so hectic if I had to do it during weekday business hours. September 2018 my daughter and my baby grandson were left broken down at night on the freeway for an hour and a half. I was out of town working.My family have been members 30+ yrs.Also Plus members. She called me crying said they would be 15 min.Thank God Highway Patrol came and stayed with her.Highway Patrol even called with no response.Very disappointed AAA!!! Beware of buying a battery with a 3 year warranty. AAA does not honor their warranty! My perfect condition Lexus would not start this am. AAA jumped the battery and started the car then announced the battery was good. Really??? If they had to jump the battery (new) why didn't the car start? After stating there was nothing wrong with my car that would affect the battery, they refused to replace the defective battery as stated on the warranty. Alert! Make sure you do not purchase a battery from AAA. As a 33 year member of AAA (Premier), I never thought this tried and true company would rip me off.
