Exceptional team. They assisted me in a huge cross-country to Los Angeles. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning due to negative reviews, but a friend recommended their services. They were very polite on the phone and extremely accommodating. They addressed all my concerns without any friction. The day of the move, there were some minor issues that I assumed would be a big setback for the move because I decided to add things. One phone call took care of it all. They answered promptly and dealt with as if it was nothing, It almost went too smooth. Long story short, everything arrived on time and as expected. I wish I'd rented a U-Haul and a couple of guys to load it...I might not have had so much of my stuff lost and damaged. This company will tell you about the A rating they have with the BBB (it's a B as of last week), but they do not tell you that they contract out your move with companies with an F rating. The 'professional movers' they contracted for my move were random guys hired off of craigslist. The company that AAA contracted ended up costing me a couple thousand dollars to replace all of the furniture they damaged. So, when I called AAA to discuss all of the things that I paid for in my contract with them, BUT DID NOT GET, they pretty much shrugged their shoulders and told me that it wasn't their fault, that they were just the brokers. They told me that I didn't understand the terms on the contract, and there was nothing they could do. Your move may only cost you $3,000 but you'll end up paying a lot more than that when you have to replace or repair all of the things that are destroyed by the 'professional movers' they hire. read more

The single worst experience I've had with a business in my entire life. I moved from the East coast to the West. 1) I booked over the phone and the company quoted me a time frame of 5-14 business days. They said that the extra stair fee ($150) was included in my quote when I specifically asked. They said that if I needed a shuttle at drop off that it was included ($350). The sales rep made a show of putting my on hold to go ask his boss if this was possible. 2) My movers arrived on the day (Road Runner Van Lines, Inc.). I am charged extra for going overweight ($250), which I accept. However, the Road Runner has no record of the agreement I had on either the stair fee or the shuttle. I call AAA and am on hold for 45 minutes. I can no longer see my moving quote because it was in a link and for some reason that link has expired. I am told that my contract said nothing about the two fees and that the customer rep "lied to you." I talked to the manager who said that he would pull the audio tapes and review it to see. If the customer rep had lied (he had, there were 2 other people in the room with me on speakerphone when I booked) I would not have to pay the fees. The tapes would be in in 24 hours. 3) 24 hours pass. I call. I'm on hold. No tapes yet. They said there were so many tapes they had to review for other people. Seriously? 48 hours pass. I call. I'm on hold. I leave a message with the manager. 72 hours pass. I call. I'm on hold. The manager I talked to was in an accident (true?) and so I talked to his boss. They waived the stair fee but couldn't do anything about the other. 4) Two weeks after pick up Road Runner Van Lines, Inc. tells me my things are in storage in VA. Another week later, and after many lies from them, they are just loading into a truck. 5) Because of the delay, I call AAA to ask about the policy on time. I don't have the contract and they had said 5-14 days. Over the course of multiple extended wait times, they send me the expired link to the contract again. After calling again, they send several screenshots of the document. Turns out, they tell the customer 5-14 days but the company has 21 BUSINESS days before any penalty happens. This 21 days doesn't start at the day of pickup, but on the first available delivery date that you provide the company. In my case, it was 5 days later. For each day it is late after THAT, you get a WHOLE $25 refunded per day. 6) The truck (run by ANOTHER company) breaks down in Indiana and is out of commission for 8 days. Road Runner Van Lines, Inc. doesn't even know about it for 4 days and only finds out because I have called. 7) It is 6 1/2 weeks before my things are delivered by a THIRD company. The contract paperwork has been ripped and taped together wrong with packing tape. I am missing a box, another is soaked and moldy, and others are stained. I have completely given up hope trying to get help from AAA. The total "discount" I get for being late is about $250, which means it knocks out the extra fee I was charged on Day 1. read more

Please do not use this company. They misrepresent themselves. They are not affiliated with AAA Auto. When I called I asked if they were part of Triple A they said yes. I said that I never heard that Triple A was in the moving business. They said yes we are did not correct my assumption. My mistake for not double checking. Truly bad service in every way. I don't have the energy to go into all of the details. What I can tell you is that it will save you time, money and countless calls to their customer service department to find your own movers. That is all they do is hook you up with their vendors and they do not do that well. The women who answer the phone in customer service could not have been nicer the manager (aka owner or person in charge - Kris) certainly tried to help. In the end though he lied to my new building manager and did not provide the proper COI- the building manager had every right to refuse my move in but she did not. I thought I was dealing with a reputable company. It was a nightmare - I had to deal with their incompetence and possibility that I could not move in while driving cross county. They did not seem to care and they never followed up, apologized or took any responsibility. In addition - it was approximately $1000.00 more than originally quoted. They hired B-52 Van Lines who arrived 3 hours late and charged me an addition almost $500. for 7 extra med boxes. This is not a reputable company! I needed to move a few possessions from San Diego to Oregon and AAA Moving & Storage assured me they would not scam me and they had a A rating with the Better Business Bureau. (I should have checked them on YELP!) 1) They did not show up on either of the contract scheduled dates which cost me a lot of money since my husband and I flew down to San Diego to make sure the items got on their moving truck & were packed correctly - Reschedule flight, rental cars, etc. 2) They did not estimate correctly even though I explained in detail what I was moving so they charged more when the "contracted moving company arrived." 3) Never responded to any emails or phone calls - When I called them, I was put on hold for over 35 minutes each time and I had to call them numerous times because no one with any authority would respond to email, my phone calls, etc. 4) I had to pay $961 cash when the "contracted movers" (who weren't affiliated with AAA Moving & Storage) arrived on a Sunday night to get my things delivered and off of the truck. I was at their mercy, so I paid them because who knows where and what they might have done with our load if I didn't pay them. 5) Roy, who was supposed to be the one person who would "help me from start to finish" but after he received my initial deposit he vanished never talked with me again. If I could give NEGATIVE stars, I would. The experience with this company is horrendous. STAY FAR AWAY!! We were quoted $3,330 to move our things from Florida to Washington. We were told that AAA Moving had their own drivers, their own trucks, their own storage, and that our things would be stored in Seattle. The day before the move, the price "magically" increased to $6,780, we were told that our things would actually stay in Florida until we said we wanted it delivered, and I find out that they contracted out to Green Moving. The link we were provided to the $3,330 estimate no longer worked. The movers showed up 3 hours late, forced me to sign blank documents (ILLEGAL) before they'd even touch my things knowing that I had to get on a plane later that day, and failed to keep me informed of any additional costs. Oh and I have to mention - I was by myself with my 18 mo old son while they were doing all of this. My estimate included the dismantling of any necessary items and putting them back together at the destination. They wouldn't take apart my son's crib without putting up a fight and when they did, they unpacked and used my husband's tool unauthorized. They also tried to claim that things like our kayaks were not included in the estimate (they were - I have it in writing). At the end of the loading, they tried to tell me that I took up 2,000 cuft of space but they were "cutting me a deal" and only going to charge me for 1,800 cuft plus packing materials like shrink wrap and tons of extra boxes to repack things I had already wrapped. Now, the price increased from $6,780.45 to $11,677!!!!!! Again, it's doubled. Two days after our things were picked up, the moving company called us to ask when we wanted it delivered. I told them that as discussed with AAA, I didn't have an address yet but wanted it in the "30 day complementary storage" until I provided them the address. At that time, I called Kris Thomas at AAA & attempted to discuss the drastic increase in price and blatant illegal actions from his third party, Green Moving. He then got his contact (Shied??) at Green Moving on the phone so we could all discuss together. They came with a 26 ft box truck to pick up my things. That box truck only holds 1,611 cuft yet they claimed I took up 2,000 cuft but were cutting me a deal and only charging 1,800 cuft. I mention this to them and Shied says that 1,800 cuft was too much and he agreed that the number wasn't correct then tried to negotiate a different number coming up with 1,350 cuft. This still seems incredibly inaccurate considering my original estimate states 1,092 cuft and this was 300 cuft more. When I disagree with them on this and the packing cost they tried to charge, they said they would review and call me back. Shied then called me back and SCREAMED at me as if this weren't a business transaction. A week later, he called me to say my things were in Seattle and demanded 50% of the remaining payment. I never asked them to deliver and when I told him that, he said "why did I come here if you aren't going to pay? I used gas to get here." I told him that he made the choice to move my things without my knowledge or permission and I needed to talk to AAA before I did anything. At that time, I spoke to Julius at AAA as Kris was no longer answering my calls. He called this guy at Green Moving who told him my things were actually still in transport and not in Seattle yet. A week later, Michelle at Green Moving called me to schedule delivery. I told her what happened and she stated that my things never left Florida and that payment wasn't due until delivery. I called Julius at AAA immediately after to ask where my things actually were since I had multiple stories. He called Shied at Green who told him my things were actually in storage in VEGAS. In the span of ONE WEEK I was told FOUR STORIES about where my things were. Then, the week before my things were supposed to be delivered, I get a call from Kris at AAA stating that Green wasn't going to deliver it until I either paid the remainder that I was disputing in full or agreed to and signed a ridiculous settlement that was still higher than what my second estimate said. After some back and forth, Kris hung up on me without providing a way to pay. He didn't send me a settlement letter in writing until Goldy at AAA got involved and emailed me a settlement letter three days before they were scheduled to deliver. At this point, I got a lawyer involved. Green Moving & AAA refuse to budge on their cost. When Shied called my lawyer, he proceed to scream at him, repeatedly tell him how much he hated me, called both of us horrible people, and when my lawyer said that we'd pay the amount then file suit against them, Shied told him that he wouldn't accept that, he was going to charge me extra for storage, and he wasn't going to give me my things back even if I paid. At this point, I have none of my stuff and we are pursuing further legal action. read more

Exactly what happened to William D has happened to us! Hands down the worst experience of my life! They stated that our belongings would be in San Antonio from Denver on June 1st and on June 8th we still do not have our belongings. After several discussions with their customer service/compliant department I was told that they actually have 21 business days to get all belongings to us because of the Department of Transportation guidelines. Pan American is not a moving company, but a broker for multiple carriers! Our stuff left Greeley Colorado and sat in storage in Denver for over 8 days waiting for a carrier to voluntarily pick the job. The original estimated time of delivery to San Antonio was 4-7 days and that is on the contract. All the DOT regulations and subcontract carriers is never discussed. We put a deposit of $700 down and paid the subcontractor $1,500 when they loaded the truck with the belief that it was going to be 4-7 days. A balance of $1,000 is still due whenever we obtain our belongings. The problem is they cannot provide an exact date of delivery! When asked for the address of the carrier storage warehouse so I could fly back and get our belongings they stated I could do this but I would NOT be issued a refund as the service had already been rendered. News to me as I am still sleeping on an air mattress. This company is manipulating and promises the world and the only thing they can deliver on is a miserable moving experience. I don't know where to begin with this shady company. We original talked to someone on the phone explained to the the stuff we had down to a 12 piece sectional a big dress, a bunch of boxes etc etc.... so we get a quote and then they write something completely different on the quote sheet they give to the people they CONTRACT OUT to move your items. Its not even their own company doing the move... too many disconnects on what you are initial promised over the phone and then again what the company actually tells the people they contract to do it. A lot of lies and promises that aren't followed through on. I wish I had see all these negative reviews on here before even considering to hire this people. Then I get told that they can pick my stuff up on march the 26th and get it to me on the 1st or 2nd of april. Then when the movers came they tell me oh no your stuff is going to go to a warehouse and sit for a few weeks before it might actually get sent out to you. When I initial called and talked to them there was never any talk of a warehouse and our house hold items "sitting" around for weeks before we might actually get them I was promised a 1st or 2nd of April delivery. So shady and lies all around. Never would I ever contact this company again or recommend then to ANYONE ever my worst enemies I wouldn't ever recommend to them!! The pick up guy did not come until 2 days after the pick up schedule date. Pick up driver was awfully rude and intimated into handing him 2 times the amount than what was quoted. The nightmare did not end there. When this was reported to corporate office they flat out refused to help because the moving career was " outsourced" and they could not do anything about it. I had to practically call every single day 8-10 times before talking to a human being on the other side of the phone line. Most of the times I was kicked off the phone lines. It took 2 weeks - in between which the company kept on lying about trying to resolve our concerns. A fake service ticket was opened which never got followed through and it was closed without a resolution. When a follow up call was placed they just swept the concern under the rug. Inspire of alerting the corporate staff about how scary the moving crew was, the same crew was sent out to deliver the home goods. The driver had decided to pack a glass table without consent, and broke it along the way. Inspite of buying insurance for the goods,nothing was done about it. The last thing they had to say was "TAKE 200$ or you get nothing" I chose to go with nothing, because they were asking not to write a review on this moving company. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY - THIS WAS A HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE AND IT WAS NOT SAFE FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. I was grossly overcharged and misled. The initial quote was based on the estimated weight/volume, which was an overestimate, and I was told I would be charged the actual weight/volume based on weigh scale receipts (as how most companies operate). However, the movers didn't bother taking the volume or weight measurement - they couldn't provide proof of weight or volume when I asked for it. The movers simply charged me the amount of the estimate and used the estimated volume in the contract, not the actual volume. The estimated volume was an overestimate as said repeatedly by the sales representative in my initial phone conversation. I also got rid of some belongings, so fewer belongings were actually moved, which I understood would lower the cost of my move. This is also evident in the bill that says "additional items will receive an additional charge". Customer service has been extremely frustrating to get responses from. I have been bounced around to four different customer service representatives over the past two months, none of whom have dealt with my complaint. I would definitely not recommend using the services from this company. It has been an infuriating experience to be grossly overcharged and misled. I was told something very different than what actually happened, and there has been no recourse to hold the company accountable. I would not trust this company based on the disconnect between their customer service department and the moving companies they contract with. read more

What they say on the telephone and what the fine print in the contract they send you to sign at the last minute (after your moving plans are concrete and no time to find another company) ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT things. First, they said they accepted American Express. Well, kind of..... They accept it for the deposit, however you must pay the movers that move your house twice in cash or money order--once when they get to the pickup location, and again upon delivery. None of that was disclosed. When I called them on it, they said, "Don't worry about what the contract says--we will work with you." Really? I might have been born at night--but it was not last night! I politely told them I would not do business with them unless the verbiage in the contract was corrected. NOW HERE IS WHERE YOU FIND OUT WHAT THESE GUYS ARE REALLY LIKE..... Instead of correcting the contract, they got hostile with me, argued with me, and then when they saw I was not going to waver, an employee named Chirs said, "Just forget it you little shit! We do not want your business anyway!" I actually owe Chris a huge debt of gratitude! That stopped me in my tracks and I postponed my move and found another moving company. Had I done business with these crooks, I would have likely been duped like so many of the others who have given 1 star reviews. Thanks Chris! I moved from Canada to Chicago last month. I also took advantage of their 30 days free storage. My inventory came back in great condition and right on time. The service was fast, smooth and made the move as stress-free as possible. I was very nervous about moving with a moving company after my first experience which was terrible however AAA Took good care of me. Did a lot of research before selecting AAA M&S as my agent for a cross country move. Worked extensively with Jason, who was instrumental in my ultimate selection. When it came time for the move, the moving company was on time, and worked hard and efficiently. They took no short cuts when it came to properly protecting our goods. When it came time to expect our delivery, the mover showed up as promised, and offloaded at 2 different locations. The movers were hard working and we found no significant damage. Wow - what a disappointment! We were really hopeful that this was going to be a positive experience - they seemed very professional and organized at first. What we didn't know was this would be a classic bait and switch - we signed a contract for a reasonable price, but it is now not being honored. The movers came to pick up our items and started adding hundreds of dollars to our bill - even though our list of items is exactly what we had disclosed before signing the contract. We hired this company to move our things from Toronto to Orlando. First of all they arrived 5 hours late in our house. We hired their service with assemble and reassemble at the final destiny. So in the day they came to pick up our staff a third part supplier come to our house and didn't want to disassemble our bed. Then they give us a date for our staff to arrive in Orlando. Our staff arrived 4 days after the day they had promised. The driver came to deliver our things entirely alone! No one to help him (again a third part not AAA). The guy refused to assemble our furniture. I called the company and said that I hired the service with assemble. They told me they would not do it because our staff was from IKEA! Difficult to assemble! Why no one told me that when they first sold us the service? And worse: they broke one of our dressers. I hired insurance, contacted them and they didn't reimburse us! SCAMMERS! I wish I had read the other reviews here before hiring these guys. I booked a move with them from utah to Massachusetts about two months in advance, they gave me a two day window that the movers would come to load up our stuff. They called to confirm the dates a few days beforehand but then the two days came and went without word, and it was a holiday weekend so their office was closed with no other way to contact them. I left voicemails, I sent emails and no reply. I would have just gone and gotten someone else but they still had my $800 deposit and it was too late to get another mover. TWO DAYS AFTER our two day window had passed (and one day after we were supposed to have left the state) I finally got a hold of someone and they were like, "hmmm we'll see if we can find someone, I'll call you back." I told them no way, I was going to stay on the line until they got someone to my house so they put me on hold and then hung up on me! I called back and told them to get me someone, they said they would, a few hours passed and nothing. I called again and they said they hadn't gotten to it, and it was going to be hard to find someone for so soon and offered my money back. They gave me a refund and left me high and dry without a mover after I was supposed to be moved out. We ended up having to go get a Penske truck and move it all ourselves. SCAMMERS! This company is a SCAM!!! I put a deposit down in January for a tentative move date in Mid February (NY to CO). I explained that I was already in CO and would need to get back to NY to pack belongings. I was told the deposit was 100% refundable with 7 days notice prior to move. On January 22 I called to cancel the move and get my deposit back since a NY blizzard was going to delay my move plans. I was given the hard sell and told by their rep, Tania Miller, that I could push the date back to late March and they would still guaranteed my deposit refund if I decided to cancel for the new late March date. When circumstances necessitated a cancellation I called to get my deposit back. I was told by Goldie that they were not going to honor the aggreement made by Tania and stated that since I was past the February date they would not issue a refund. Plain and simple they worked a scam to insure they would keep my deposit, which I originally asked for on January 22. I have filed a complaint with BBB and will be taking them to small claims court. This is hand down the worst company I have ever dealt with!! They lie and twist everything they say to try and save themselves. I was lied to about delivery times, who the owner is, when they will get back me, as well as them telling me they only use A+ BBB companies.... the ones who showed up are not even BBB registered! The reason is complaints and I was not allowed my paperwork until all items were loaded and written in for the load. I was guaranteed 7- 10 days for my belongings to be delivered, it is now being told to me 21 days!!! When I call Chris Thomas tells me to listen to him and tells me to shut up and this is his game! He talks down to me and hangs up whenever I try to say anything he does not like! I was told by the girl who answers the phone he is the owner and that is how it goes! He is not the owner of this company, another lie! They will not take care of the problems they have created, I am seriously pissed that I got involved with such a SCAM of a company!! Please avoid using this company for your move. Unfortunately for me I did not read all these reviews before I contracted them. As I read them now my story is pretty much the same. They tell you they are AAA Moving Service and lead you to believe that they are associated with them. They are not. The move was more then they said it would be and when you try and call for an explanation your salesman never picks up the phone. All you get is some answering machine and they never call you back. The movers they sent were not A rated as they said they would be and they were late and they don't answer their phone either. They show up and say it's going to be an extra $800. What are you going to do? You have to move. When you finally get your stuff 20 days latter consider yourself lucky you got it at all. If you want to over pay and get lied to and get your stuff in 3 weeks then this the company for you. read more
