I would highly recommend them and would use them again. I interviewed three moving companies. These guys impressed me the most. They called me back immediately and had the clearest pricing plan of any company in the Buffalo area. The day of our move they were on time and kept me updated on their arrival. They individually covered everything dresser, table, and bookcase to protect them. At the end of the move there was not a single mark on my walls or on any of my personal items. Most important these guys were respectful. Our move took all day and I never heard a bad word or inappropriate language. You always worry inviting a stranger into your house. These guys introduce themselves and we're polite to my whole family. Good Neighbors Moving was an excellent choice for our move and I would highly recommend them to anyone. When I called to follow up on 11/24, his voicemail said he receives texts at the number too, I texted and he quoted $195/hr. When I asked him about the disparity he said we could go with the lower rate. In our initial conversation I explained that we were supposed to close on our house December 18th and wanted to move December 19th. I did note that when buying a house there are many moving parts so there was some concern that we might not be able to close/move on time but told him that I'd let him know as soon as I knew for sure and he was fine with that. 12/12, one week before the move I text the owner telling him we're on track to close on time and that I want to confirm we're scheduled for the following Saturday 12/15 I text the owner again and leave a voicemail, no response 12/16 I text the owner and leave a voicemail, my wife also calls and texts, at noon I text that if I don't hear back by 1:00 I'll need to find another company I found another company, still haven't heard a word from him. It's entirely possible that we were on his calendar and he would've shown up on time Saturday and is just terrible with communication, but after going four days without any confirmation, I couldn't risk not having a mover show up. I truly hope everything is ok and that I'm not bashing a business that had a valid reason for ghosting me, but until I hear otherwise from the owner, I can only guess.

We needed 5 items moved 13 miles out of our old house and into the new. I went on Yelp and put in…read morewhat I needed to have done. Yelp sent out the request and I received 3 contacts. Bright Homes was what seemed to be the most reasonable. Jessie came over, we discussed what needed to be done and gave him a $250 deposit with no mention of it being non-refundable either verbally or in writing. A few days before the scheduled date we found we were unable to have the work done on that date so we called to reschedule. At that time, we were told that there was and $85 rescheduling fee which was never discussed or disclosed either verbally and especially not in writing. After much back and forth, it was lowered to $55 and we rescheduled. 2 days before the scheduled date, I received a call and Jessie told me that they were having a special that would reduce to cost of the move by $25 if at least 50% of the cost was paid in advance. Something didn't sound right so we did not pay anything more. At that point, I should have cancelled but I unfortunately didn't. We were told that on the day of the move they would be at our old house at 9:30. A little before 10, since they hadn't arrived & I received no call, I called to see what was going on. Jessie told me that the job that they were on was running a little over but they were finishing up and would be with us in about 20 minutes. A little before 11, I called again and was told that they were on their way and would be there soon. A little before noon, I called and left a message that we would be going to file a police complaint for fraud. Just passed noon, I tried to call again several times but all I got was the Verizon message that "your call cannot be completed as dialed." At that point we decided that it was time for the police. While at the police station, I received a call from Jessie apologizing for not answering saying that there were in Lewiston finishing up the job and there was no cell service there. It might have been believable but the number has was calling from was different from the other he used earlier in the day. About 45 minutes later, the officer I was dealing with called the last number that I received a call from. Jessie answered and told the officer that they were in Lewiston but had just finished the job there and would be at our house in 20 minutes. He told the officer that we were previously scheduled (true) and that he worked with us when we had to reschedule (true but no mention of a rescheduling fee). I told the officer that under no circumstances did I want him anywhere near our house and wanted my deposit back. He told the officer that it was non-refundable. The officer told him he needed to see it in writing. Jessie offered $100. The officer told him it had to be a gesture of at least half, in cash at the precinct. Jessie again told the officer that they were still able to do the job and were on their way but I said no way. The $125 was delivered as promised but it was a business gesture not a settlement. In closing, AVOID this company even if they are the only option available. They are unreliable, consistently lie, think communication is unnecessary and should be either put out of business or arrested.
