First and foremost the insurance took over 30 days to do anything about a claim, and yes that does include confirming with police the vehicle at fault etc. they charged me 2 months for a vehicle that was non operational. I was told by one of their agents that I would be reimbursed back dated from the day after the accident, call today to find out it wasn't taken off my account, and they won't be reimbursing anything. The employees have no clue what they are doing they had me stand in several lines for vehicle registration then told me that because I was also processing a pink slip that was already under my name, that I would have to get back in line and they would call my name. I was only taking the bank off the pink slip. Now waiting over 2 hours!!! I was told I could pay my auto insurance while I was waiting. I was asked to get my mileage from my car for an insurance discount and then told me that they could not process my mile because I had reported 85 days ago when they asked for it. Very disappointing service from this branch. Been a Triple A Customer for 30 years with several homes, auto insurance including family. Had a quote for new homeowners insurance which continued my bundle. Poor communication during the process with me and lender. Should have been my clue to go elsewhere. Went with their policy. Then I receive a check 2 months later cancelling my policy. No phone call or warning. I once again had to chase down reasoning. No notes when I first called, then find out "we don't cover your area due to fire zone. Why didn't you know this from the get go? Now searching for new auto due to a very unprofessional experience. AAA is the WORSE I purchased a battery a year ago from AAA only to find out (by another AAA service tech) the battery is not compatible with my car. The tech showed me the test results the tech that installed it was 100% aware of what he did. The tech called AAA & explained the issue & to have my account updated with this info. At the same time I called to speak with a supervisor she looks up the type of battery /my car and totally agree, but refuse to make it right. Which means to me this supervisor is supporting a criminal. She told me she'll send me a reimbursement form. And pending investigation I may or may not get reimbursed. BTW I posted on another social media outlet and received a AAA automated response to send my info and they will follow up I haven't heard back from AAA. The only thing that's different about this insurance company that I can see is they congratulate you for X amount of years as a customer. This review is for the corporate office. We have had multiple issues with AAA insurance. We've tried to with multi attempts and phone calls put credit cards on autopay. This happened with 3 different cards (we had fraud in 2 cards from a different source and got a new bank account on 1) ... over about a 2 year period. Even after multiple phone calls, trying to use the site and using all their advice... speaking to managers etc (usually each time took about 4 phone calls). FYI they finally fixed the system in summer 2019. In Oct of 2019 we bought a new car and then sold our old one same day. That very day I called and switched the insurance over to the new vehicle. Today we found out that the system never worked, my new car is not insured. I need to micromanage this company. read more

I have been here a couple times now, both times I was helped by Courtney. Both times she was phenomenal. She is very happy to help and seems to genuinely care about the customer. Each time she has gone out of her way to help. Alex in the insurance department was also a great help and very easy to talk to (though please look at my update on Alex, not so great.....). I recommend both (Courtney) greatly, and even though I did not sign up for the insurance as I have a couple weeks until i need it, I will definitely return to Alex for my policy once I need it soon. Both these employees did amazing jobs representing their company and have made me a Triple A loyalist. Great, amazing work by both. ZERO STARS! This is the most unprofessional set of people I have ever dealt with. I was notified by the DMV that I had no auto insurance when I paid my registration. No letter from AAA advising they where cancelling my policy due to additional documents needed for underwriting. I had previously submitted needed documents to my agent Karina Rodriguez on 3 different occasions. I emailed and called her several times with no response. I finally was able to reach the Manager Anthony Orwig who assured me this issue would be resolved the following day. Worst experience I had ever had in my entire life!!!! Brian C. McClendon is worst! I signed up with AAA a couple of month ago. My friend recommended, I was with my previous company for 11 years, had no issues. No tickets, claims. Had my bikes, cars and house under one. Signed up with Travis. Everything seemed great at first, he was very nice. He asked me for pictures of my vehicles and miles. Provided. Travis said, he'll send someone to my house and all we'll be set. I agreed. A month and a half goes by and I get a letter in the mail stating my house insurance have been cancelled. I started calling to find out why. Number of calls to Travis and no call back, so I called main office. Lady was super sweet and said, Travis should have ordered the pictures, but those were never provided, states the reason of my insurance cancellation. She suggested for me to call Travis and have that set up. I said OK. Calling Travis many times - NOTHING. Called and asked for manager, voicemail, left message. Travis calls back, telling me there was no reason to call manager and he'll have it set up. According to Travis there is plenty time left. I told him, that my home insurance was cancelled. Travis said doesn't know why. A gentleman calls me in the morning and says, he'll come over to take some pictures, I asked, do I need to do anything? He responded - no. A week later, a check in the mail no explanation? I start calling again.. Not sure how many times, NO ONE EVER called me back. Actually didn't hear from Travis ever again! I left a message, thinking it was managers number, come to find out she is not manager at all. Spoke to her, super nice. She said let me do some research, I'll call you back. I'm a bit apprehensive/frustrated at this point. It took her a few hours and she did call me back. I couldn't pick up. She left a message telling me that there are some discrepancies and to call Travis, he'll explain everything. I called just for kicks! As always, no callback! YAY!!! I take the soonest day off from work and just show up. As it has been a month no insurance. Wait time wasn't too long,OK. This guy comes up. I observed how other people had been greeted with hand shake and introduction of who is helping. This guy, called my name and took me in the back office. I made a joke and said, "oh oh am I in trouble?" No response... whatever... Sits down and asks, "what can I do for you." I responded, my home insurance has been cancelled and I want to know why?" He asked, "well, didn't the letter had explanation?" I said, "no." I told him that I made number of calls and no one is calling me back. He asked with smirk, "who didn't call you?" I said "the guy who helped me", he says which guy what is his name?" WOW! I'm being interrogated... and I start naming anything starting with "T", then I said, "what difference on name I just want to know why?" He says: "makes difference to me.." he was so forceful, that I got nervous. His reply to me, "we have no one by that name", so i said, the guy sitting right there pointing at the desk. He rolled his eyes and said, "you mean Travis?" I reply, "yeah, I guess". This was the good part. Now he starts looking up in his computer why it was cancelled. We sitting in silence for a few, and all of a sudden he says, "well bathroom number 1 is not neat, dirty tile..." I interrupted with a puzzled look and said:"what is bathroom number one?" He goes "I don't know your house it's the bathroom one..." mind you I can't see his screen. Then he continues that some debris in my backyard though he couldn't see. I had a very puzzled look and interrupted him: " I thought you guys insure the dwelling, not how clean the house is?" This is where THE EXPLOSION happened!!! He goes:" DON'T TELL ME HOW TO DO MY JOB!!! I have been doing this for many years and I know what we insure and what we don't insure! I don't need your comments! Now if you let me continue, I'll tell you, so be quite and let me do my job!" In my head I'm mortified! Did he just address me like that? He continues in silence scrolling through not sure what. Still can't see the screen. It goes on for a little, no comments. Finally he turns his screen to me and starts showing me, so bathroom number 1 is my kids bathroom in their rooms. I tell him no one told me to clean that up, and I did ask. then I proceeded on telling him. "well, I'm sorry if I knew, but that my husband is bed bound severely handicap and I work FT, we've had rough time between me being extremely ill and now him. Brian:" I don't care" now holding my tears in and hurt I said:"world is shit!" He reply: "world is what you make of it" again not yelling, hissing... Sarcastic... Well, it was the end... when checking in the receptionist was rude, almost seemed as if it was a burden that I was trying to have services completed that day. She said there was multiple people in front of me, insinuating for me to leave and not even check in so I didn't have to "wait" Why would I go in just leave due to there being a small line, it's not like it's the dmv line and how would I know it would be a different circumstance if I did leave and came back another day. While waiting in line I watched her be rude to many other members as well. I also did not get my member card returned to me I didn't realize at the time because I was still a little shocked at the treatment I received. I tried calling the branch once I got home, i was never able to get ahold of the front desk to have my card put aside for me. Each time I was transferred to the automated system or I was hung up on. I had to call 8 times until I was finally able to speak to someone and ended up having to just order a new card. The whole encounter was extremely off putting. I normally go to the Temecula branch I've never had issues there before but I went to the murrieta location this time as it was closer to me now. I won't be returning to this branch again, Not even to get my card. I'll just wait for the new one to be mailed . read more

As a AAA member for 43 years, I agree with one of the other complaints that stated working with AAA is the worst experience I had ever had in my entire life!!!! I signed up with AAA Auto and Home Insurance a couple of month ago. I found that I could get a better price somewhere else, so I tried to cancel my insurance at AAA and all that I have gotten is the run around for two weeks. According to the California State Insurance Commission, as a policy holder, you can cancel your insurance at any time. It seems that AAA gives you the run around to keep you from canceling your insurance as YOU requested. Take it from me, If they will not cancel your insurance, Sue, Sue, Sue............... And also file a complaint with the California State Insurance Commission. Maybe they will then, get the message that it is the policy holder that holds all of the cards and not AAA. read more

Growing up my family had different insurance due to the rates. It wasnt until I got married that I signed on the AAA. Granted, they are expensive, but the attention and support they provide you from the time you get to an accident to when you finish wrapping up the last of your paper work, it is all worth it. I have been involved in 2 major accidents since I became a AAA insured member. Both times, I was always taken care of. I have been a member for 9 years now:) my husband and I opted to use AAA for our home insurance as well. I have yet to experience other services they offer, looking into purchasing a new car soon. for one I am a huge fan of every AAA, It totally illuminates the DMV for most cases. This particular AAA is open on saturdays which is a plus because not very many are. Everyone is very sweet and super helpful, The lines may seem long but they go by fast and they make sure to get everyone in and out in a timely manner. I went in to renew my registration I was told it would be around a 40 Min. wait so I went to Starbucks right down the parking lot. As soon as I got back my name was called! just took about 20. They offered me candy and water, I payed my fee and out I was, I really do like this AAA office. I live in DTLA but my moms lives in Murrieta, I avoid most errands in LA anyways traffic and rude people ! lol but I do come home to take care of these kind of things and this office is my favorite. read more

The lady who screens initially on where youre going to go is a bit rude. She tried to answer your questions and be nice initially but when there was a line starting behind me, she started being rude kicking me right away. She was the 1 who keeps answering my questions anyway instead of just pointing me to the right people. Anyway, Nil from their DMV was very nice and helpful on the other hand. I had a few things to discuss and he patiently answered each and every one of them without even hurrying me. This is a home insurance issue with AAA. They cancelled my policy in September 2018 when there was an issue in the system then rewrote it the same day. After finalizing everything they determined they could not insure me due to where I live. I was told they had again cancelled my policy and referred me to a 3rd party, that they partner with, for insurance. I obtained insurance that day from the 3rd party and have had it for over 18 months. AAA has been sending me bills claiming I still owed them money. I sent them the paperwork verifying that I already had home insurance over that same time period which the collections manger said he needed to close the case and take me out of collections. 4 months later a 3rd party collections agency contacted me attempting to collect on TWO policies. Note, that it is ILLEGAL to have 2 homeowners insurance policies at the same time, so I'm confused as to how I could possibly owe AAA for 2 policies. It just sucks that such a "reputable" company chooses to conduct business unfairly and illegally. I would stay away! read more

This branch I have been working with for over 10 years. Within the last 3 1/2 years they have really gone downhill. Wait times are ridiculous. If you do choose to wait, they insurance department is completely incompetent. I had to return on no less than 13 seperate occassions to get my boat insurance straightened out. They still can't figure out how to cancel one boat, and add another. If you decide to make the gamble with them make sure you check with them periodically and ask for a coopy of your current declaration, and when they owe you money, they will do ANYTHING!! not to pay.
