I give one star because I have AAA, but not impressed that they are too busy to service my car or to set up an appointment. I will unfortunately go elsewhere. read more

Made an appointment for an oil change and air filter installation. Was told the filter was dirty and had been discarded so I could not see it. Left and after two hours received a call at home noting that the service writer who told me the filter was dirty had lied as it was never installed and did I want to come back in a day or two and have them install it fro real. Coming back from Tucson I was in an accident that disabled my car. After the shock, cops, and Adrenalin, I called for a tow as I have the "Plus" package. Turns out that they could not find a wrecker with a a big enough cab for 3 passengers. So essentially I was stranded. I ended up paying the difference in the towing that my insurance company would pay and that was $155 out of pocket. So essentially the years of the "plus" package difference should have been put aside for this experience as it turned out that it was useless in my case. The person that picked the car up basically said that he wont do business with AAA. So to add a little irony to the mix on the long expensive out of pocket trip home we passed a AAA "company" wrecker that was big enough picking up another car. I have to wonder if they just didn't want to come to Coolidge and pick me up? Pretty sure that the pick up I witnessed by the company car had to have come in after me? Does not matter either way, I paid in good faith and I got nothing for my extra membership. I asked them to cancel the plus and make it a "regular" one so I can use it for my travel discounts, after that it appears to be useless if you have a family. They did with no argument and not a single why. Pretty sure they just don't give a ****? I hate to be the "negative" reviewer, but they left me stranded when I needed them most and I had the coverage. In my book, pay my $155 and apologize, we are good, won't hold my breath. ***UPDATE*** Okay flash forward a week from the incident and I get a check for the difference in the "classic" membership and the "plus" And I also get a form (filled out wrong) for reimbursement. Now when they where giving me the run around no one ever mentioned that they would reimburse me. They also refunded the money without asking why and never mentioned it. All they told me was tough. I will probably go back to the "Plus" service, but will remember that it is a game of cat and mouse. I moved the review up to a "2" as after three other interactions, it appears there is one person that gets it (25% success rate). All in all if you can get home and they end up paying for it despite all the grief, it is semi worth it. We will see what happens, I may amend this review some more. ***Update number 2*** I received a call from Amanda to day and Triple A is going to see what they can reimburse me. They are also going to cover the difference in the Plus and Classic when the renewal comes up. Pretty fair compromise if I get reimbursed. The sticking point and Amanda has a point is that they only promise to bring the car back. While that is technically correct, it is an expectation on most people's behalf that they (the passengers) are part of that equation. So if we were is a court of law, I lose. In the court of public opinion, I think I fare a little better? That being said upped to 3 stars as this has been at first a disappointment, then a time suck, and now possibly a happy ending after the hassle? Understand that the contract is just the car and you are a bonus if you are taken along for the ride. Not what I expected, but it is what it is, it is a 50/50 shot if you are included in the ride home. read more

Based on another friend's experience, I tried the car buying service. I called Peter, told him a little about what I was thinking of, and made an appointment to go into the office. When I got there, he already had two cars for me to see and test drive. Great service! I wanted to look at a luxury car so he went to the dealership with me. WOW.....what a difference to have him with me rather than going in alone. We test drove a car there too. Back at the office, we chatted and I made my decision on the car I want. I have been a member since 2000, but only used my membership for the car service calls up until a few years ago when I discovered many more reasons to use the membership perks. I have used the DMV services regularly and haven't had to go to the DMV since. LOVE it. The people are helpful and really take the time to explain what needs to be done. Then about 2 years ago I made the decision to take my first international trip. I had the pleasure of getting set up with Annette as my travel planner and I can't begin to express how knowledgeable and helpful she has been. Her tips, patience, and attention to details have made the traveling planning process a great deal of fun. I've had to move the dates twice, and plan many side adventures and Annette has given advice all along the way. I was nervous to go on the trip, but felt that Annette has been instrumental in the process. AAA AZ was great - we were able to download the applications on line so that we could walk in with them ready. The agent took our photos, gathered our information and presented us with our international permits all in less than 30 minutes and at a very reasonable price. I went into the office to buy SeaWorld tickets for Memorial Day Weekend, one would think this should be a quick painless process. I'll start with the positive: I was greeted when I walked in the door and asked how I could be helped. Everyone was very nice and you couldn't beat the price of the tickets. Now for the negative: The waiting time to buy some simple tickets was absolutely ridiculous. I'm not over exaggerating when I say I was there for about 45 minutes just to buy tickets. If it wasn't for the extremely good price of the tickets I would have been pretty upset. read more

I went into the AAA office at 4046 E Greenway to use the MVD services. I went over to the MVD window and was standing there for about five minutes when the female clerk who was waiting on a customer asked me ( with a attitude) if I signed in ? I said No, just needed a temporary Disabled plaque. You have to sign in and wait as other customers are waiting. No signs were visible indicating for MVD services you needed to check in. So I stood (embarrassed) at the front counter and listen for several minutes to the young lady talking on her cell phone conversation was not business related but personal. Finally the other women standing at the other window called me over. I explained what I needed and showed my AAA membership card. While standing there I noticed the new Atlas. A sign stated Ask me how to get one. So I did. She said you must sign up for automatic renewal. I told her I have. She told me , I know so you do not qualify. I told her I have Four accounts that I pay for that all comes to me for my family. One account for my son's family that I just purchased for them before Christmas. I have never gotten a new Atlas for several years of renewing all my memberships nor for the new one I just purchased. I finally asked can I get one if I cancel one of my memberships and then restart it, as I pay for all of my families 4 memberships. She did not even offer to sell me one. She gave me a pager and directed me to sit over at the chairs and wait. I waited for approximately 15 minutes and never was paged by the MVD clerk. She knew that I was waiting as she would look over at me while at her desk/counter with no customers. Finally a couple was paged up to the counter. I got up and took the pager back to the window with the lady that I asked about the Atlas. Told her I have a 1 PM appointment that I could not miss. She could have cared less. Terrible customer service at this office. I will not be back. So much for being a loyal customer for so many years. Meant nothing to the girl on the cell phone, the MVD clerk who chastised me for not signing in, and for the Lady who would not give up a atlas book, even for a customer who would have paid for it. read more
